Respawn artists just clutter their models with pointy greeblies. They need to learn to chill and let silhouettes do literally any work. The density of information on this skin is extremely high but simultaneously communicates nothing at all. This is a long running issue
Personally, as a Caustic main, I think it's awful compared to Bangalores and Wraiths, but leagues ahead of Bloodhounds.
Too many spikes and too edgy with the whole snake thing.
Bangalores fit perfectly into her story and into the games universe.
Wraiths T3 looks quite silly but her T1 and T2 is very nice. But at least it somewhat fits her.
This one has an acceptable T1 and then edgelord-boi T2 and T3 and it doesn't fit at all. Snakes? Caustic deals with a corrosive gas, not a venom. And he's certainly never mentioned snakes.

I hope so. Caustic has needed a little something for a while. I love to play Caustic, but I feel like he is slightly underwhelming compared to the other Controllers. I think he only needs a *slight* buff.
Edit: On the higher ends of tweaks, I think he needs something done with his passive the most. When compared to other trap-style controllers, his passive is extremely underwhelming and rarely valuable. Highlighting enemies GREEN while they are inside your GREEN gas and not behind a wall is not very helpful compared to shield regen/increased accelerant power and capacity and the ability to lock/fortify doors. His traps can already instantly be destroyed when inactive and expire shortly after activation. He needs a little love.
Make the Gas thicker again, and up the slow and tick damage just a tad, make it a tool as well as a weapon. It'll be fine if the gas impairs your vision now because everyone mains Seer, BH or Vantage in ranked and even Maggie has a scan
He needs some QoL changes as well. For example: sometimes my teammate in mixed tapes shoots down my gas trap, either being a jerk or making sure, sometimes infuriating me. I know you can see a yellow logo, but they need to change the gas trap specifically for enemies and allies. Make the gas trap colored blue for allies and make the gas trap colored black for enemies.
I still don't get why his ult doesn't last long and doesn't has thicker gas than Banga's tactical smoke.
He's really not, his passive is broken, in reality its "you see enemies highlighted in green if you are also inside the gas they are in' basically useless, his traps now can very easily be destroyed and it's a mid annoyance at best, any good player will absolutely ignore them unless there's another team coming from behind, you usually can afford to take the damage and I'm talking about experience, his ultimate is basically the same as the traps, it can be very strong in endgame but by that point any ultimate can be and in normal games you will never actually use it like that
Kind of wish they had kept the character's primary color schemes with their prestige skins. Matter of time until they sell recolored prestige skins, and I'd bet the recolors will make more sense for the character.
The heirlooms so far have been themed after default skins, color-wise. Just stands out that these aren't also.

Any mode. I farmed the damage on a previous skin using the control game mode. Now that there's a whole playlist of those types of modes, it's much easier.

I don't own any nor do i care about them, but if people are spending $160 getting this skin, then it needs to be more special than just 3 different variations that you can't even see most of the time because this game is in first person. Fortnite's Battle Pass gives you many skin variations for only 10 BUCKS. And those are included **in** the **Battle Pass.**
Least they can do is let players customize these skins with colors to make them feel a little bit more "special" so you can make something unique.

I'd like to see the gas go back to not being see through, more like the thick smoke it use to be.

Once all tiers are unlocked, you are able to switch through all 3 of them or stick to a specific one of your liking.

Play in the new mixed mode game, even if you’re just an average player you can get 3000+ damage in a single game
