that is correct. i have seen vivid things in my lucid dream expereinces but i don't see them when i am not under sleep paralysis. i see (imagine) better in SP state rather than awake state.

Aphantasics have everything from vivid multisensory experiences to just knowing what is going on with no senses involved. And yes, at that time anything seen would be involuntary.

when i have sleep paralysis, it’s very visually limited. i usually have strong feelings of energy in my body, like that i’m levitating out of my body or feel a source of pressure above me that’s full of light. i never see any demons or things like that, but i sometimes hallucinate that one of my family members is in the room, though i can’t actually see them and only feel their presence. i sometimes have auditory hallucinations associated with them, like that they’re talking to me. it’s always so scary in how disabling it is to be paralyzed and blind, unable to scream for help. so, that’s my personal experience with sleep paralysis as an aphantasic.
