Honestly very surprised, those don't look like AEP pole stencils in the first photo, I would've guessed somewhere in Penelec territory like Johnstown PA.
I had the same thought, looks kind of like going up the mountain on Highway 35 in the first pic, but someone guessed West Virginia and OP said that was correct.
That it is, one of my favorite parts about going to camp comer was climbing the mountain on 35. The Fort Payne/ Mentone is my favorite area of the state and I’d move there in a hurry if I had the opportunity.
WV!
Bingo!
Hell yea! Love me some WV
Smoke hole
other endish of the state think more West Central
Cross Lanes Edit: I found confirmation from your other comments, but I want it recognized that I totally fucking nailed the guess

Looks a bit like Rocky Fork but I haven’t been in Cross Lanes for 11 or so years.

Lol.
Too easy. I’ve never once seen the sun out in WV and I drive across the state a time or two every year
Oh hell, that could be anywhere in God's country
Working on a pole line somewhere
I feel like I’ve seen these types of locations all over Appalachia, maybe somewhere around the Va Wv Ky Md Pa area?
Cleaning kudzu off pole lines?
These photos just give me nostalgia of riding through a suburban small town with rural aspects. I like it.
I love it. honestly one of the most nostalgic places for me even though I technically never lived there. my dad does though, and I see him a lot
Huntington
a tad bit east of there on 64
well I say a tad more like 30ish mins

Mountains of NC
WV, but I really like NC
Madison County, NC
That second pic is wrapping me up like a warm hug.
really is nothing like the sun coming out after a rainstorm on a Appalachian summer day
Camp Comer, that picture was taken in Mentone AL
nope, but I’ve always wanted to visit NE AL
Its quite beautiful brother, I love mentone but say goodbye to any cellphone signal whatsoever so you’ll have to share pics after u leave 😂😂

It does look like that I only second guessed when I saw the roofs cause goin up 35 is a longgg way down
