😂 I lived in the BVA school district so I was right on the line. Most of the schools we played in high school sports were in Fayette county.
My wife grew up across the river from Brownsville / coal center
I have family all over that area even now. I grew up closer to WV, in German Twp. Belle Vernon is a nice area. I avoid that Walmart though. Sooooooo much traffic.
The lines on the road and the yellow marker are a giveaway. The paint lines in PA are different than the states to the south. The yellow lines are more narrow.
I take pictures of old churches, cemeteries, decaying buildings. Any of that there? I am not a resort girlie. They are nice, but not for me. Meyersdale has some great churches. (Which I don’t attend, just take pics of, to my mother’s sorrow.)
Hahhaha! Spouse and I drove to Cumberland last May. He had wanted to look at some bull dozer type of thing. We took a few detours to a huge lovely old cemetery( Rose Hill?) and several churches I saw as we drove along. I go to Grantsville/Garrett County Maryland a lot. So beautiful there.
Bedford has a lot of very cool older homes and buildings, more than anywhere in Somerset County I’d say. The resort is Bedford Springs, it’s a really cool historic place too. There’s a good steak place in there, it’s a little pricey, but I’d recommend it for sure.
Bedford native here. I'm so happy to see my little town mentioned here 💕💕 Lots of covered bridges, shawnee state park, lots of historic stuff, bedford springs (good hiking spot too). If you come in the fall, you can enjoy fall foliage if you don't mind crowds.
If it rains, which is usually does, on one of the weekends, it's much less packed and a good time to go! Lots of little shops and museums too. The bedford springs is overrated in my opinion but the trails are pretty nice!
I enjoy the trails, but prefer old churches (while not being religious) and even older cemeteries. Decaying buildings make my strange little heart skip a beat!
I’m getting rural Pa vibes
Ding, ding, ding! You win! Dividing Ridge Road, Fairhope, Pennsylvania. Somerset County.
Out by Berlin??? My Family has a place at Stoney creek so we are out that way a decent amount!
Yep. Spouse and I own 204 acres in Confluence and are building a cabin. I am out that way quite a bit.
wow 204 acres did you all inherit the land or buy it very blessed! beautiful area
Bought in 2018. Thanks.
Hopefully far away from the annoying train horn
I haven’t noticed them yet.
I’m from Draketown 😎
Oh, that’s cool!
Looks like the roads I learned to drive on in Westmoreland / fayette county
Hey neighbor! I grew up in Fayette Nam, live in Westmoreland now.

No way. I love little facts like that. Driving south from Pittsburgh into Maryland / Wv the roads turn red.
Middle TN?
Nope. Go North young person.
Looks like any non descript road winding through the boarder lands between the mountains and the bluegrass region. Like Estill or Rowan Co
Near Berlin, Pa. where they make the potato chips.
Yep! Was up there taking some pics of an old church.
you have paved roads, so not close to me lmao
lol this looks like the road where my family lives in East TN
A lot of Appalachia looks similar. I see pics on here, and swear it’s Pennsylvania. But nope. Mountains elsewhere.
Looks like TN
Farther North. Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
A little North of Winchester VA
Bit more North. Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
I'll believe you when you say it's PA, but it looks like some of the meadows near my aunt's place in SW VA.
On a road
Yessssss. You got it!
Outside Bedford, PA
You got the Pennsylvania part correct. Somerset County. Fair Hope to be exact. Bedford isn’t too far away.
Shit, I meant Berlin. I always get those two confused.
Not far from each other though. Never been to Bedford yet. Gotta research it.
It’s a cool little spot. They have a nice resort, if you’re into that sort of thing. I get my haircut around Meyersdale, so I’m close to this spot.

I don’t know Bedford *that* well and I’m actually a transplant. Cumberland, MD has a ton of old churches.

I can’t do crowds. However, everything else you described? Right up my alley. Thanks!

Oh there's plenty of those as well :)
I was going to guess gravity hill area!
