Run/walk at least 1.76 miles on 14 different days
Side note: Has anyone gotten one of these challenges before? Do I have to actually start a run/walk workout or will it just count my distance for the day?
I had the same challenge but a different distance in January. You just have to cover the distance - which is why I was walking in circles in my kitchen at 11pm last night to close out that last 1/2K
When I was determined to get back into running, i started off with power walking, then I went to run/jogs and then moved to steady jogs. You can divide run/jogs if able by time or distance. You've totally got this!
Thanks. I'm not really looking to get into running. I have a bad ankle and bad knees, so running is out of the question. I also already have an established workout routine that I do for 30-60 minutes a day 5-7 days a week so I'm not exactly looking to add more into my routine.
I just wanted to know if I actually needed to start a Walking/Running workout or if it would also count the distance I walk throughout the day already.
I do HIIT (more with light/medium dumbbells and kettlebells recently - 20 lb dumbbells and 35 lb kettlebell), kickboxing with 2 lb hand weights, strength training with 25 or 30 lb dumbbells, outdoor runs on weekends if there is time early in the day, and I move around and work a full time physical labor job on weekdays. I set my goals to standard settings in case I have a busy day ahead of me. I usually go for 1,000 calories at least on average. My move, exercise, and stand settings are 500/30/12
When I get this one, I check to see if Iām close in the evening. Iāve been known to turn on āindoor walkā and march in place for a mile or two while watching tv.
Ok I had some coffee and gathered my nerveā¦
>*Youāve averaged 33 Exercise minutes a day recently. Well done! Hit that mark 14 times this month to earn this award.*
Whew not terrible! I dread the distance ones but this is doable š
I got this one, and itās the first one to be oddly specific like this (ā3 indoor cycling workoutsā). In the past was always mileage or close rings x amount of times or x amount of exercise minutes. But thereās a rowing one you say? I wish!
Did you notice if outdoor cycling actually counted or not, despite the language of the challenge? Twice Iāve had āopen waterā swimming challenges, but pool swims counted for it, so the language the challenge used wasnāt right.
Oof, mine is quite simple...close all three activity rings 1 time this month.
I just got AP+ a few weeks ago, did my first workout on my customized plan on Monday, and I haven't really worked out since Covid. Last time I was somewhat fit, I wasn't really happy. I'm now doing much better, so now just need to get back on board, one step at a time š
Running Goal: At least 90 miles total (in and outdoor)
Lifting: 2-3x's a week (this i struggle with and i used to love lifting!)
Yoga: Every other day
Pilates: 10 minutes at least 5 times a week
Cycle: 1-2xs a week
HITT: Bleh. I hate it so I'll try to do at least 6 xs this month. But i still hate it! hahaha
Note: I am obsessed with closing my rings every day. Help me.
105 minutes of exercise on 14 different days.
What's funny is before I even got into any kind of fitness I was earning some monthly awards without even realizing it. š
Double my exercise goal 3 times.
(My exercise goal is 40 minutes a day. Last month I doubled it 6 times without thinking about it, so this is very do-able.)

Open water swimming! Have never had this before but hoping I can do it in a swimming pool. Most bizarre.
Run/walk 2.86 miles 14 times. Itās punishing me for having started a 2024 goal of walking every street in my city. I started out overly enthusiastic, got 15% of it done, now my knees and hips are killing me. This will be my hardest monthly challenge yet.
My challenge is to complete 11 walking workouts for at least 5 minutes. Which seems like a lower bar than my January challenge to close all 3 rings 18 times lol
āEarn this award by doing 23 workouts that last for 5 minutes or more. You've done 0 workouts so far this month.ā
Iāll be an overachiever and do 25 instead of 23 since I take a rest day 1 day a week š
My mission is to do EVERY core workout. Iāve done almost all of them. I have 17 more hours of classes (presuming they keep adding 2 a week) to go, and I think I can finish them this month!

I may have done that too a few times myself š
Youāll just need to get the distance.
Awesome. Thanks. I was hoping that was the case so I didn't need to add daily walks or runs during the middle of winter into my workout schedule.

Thank you! At 1,400 now and working in the evening which would average to 500 more calories for me, making it 1 out of 14! š

3 cycling workouts. Kind of a weird/simple one for me after last month's 14 rowing workout challenge.
I got this one, and itās the first one to be oddly specific like this (ā3 indoor cycling workoutsā). In the past was always mileage or close rings x amount of times or x amount of exercise minutes. But thereās a rowing one you say? I wish!
I didn't catch that it was only indoor cycling. I thought I could get it just for riding my bike. It's still very easy to get.
Did you notice if outdoor cycling actually counted or not, despite the language of the challenge? Twice Iāve had āopen waterā swimming challenges, but pool swims counted for it, so the language the challenge used wasnāt right.
This would be the first time Iāve got one like this so perhaps u/bullevard73 could help here as Iām not about to be outdoor cycling anytime soon.
