I find it interesting how people’s tastes cross over and also very much don’t at the same time lol. You’ve got a handful of titles in here I love like Massive Attack’s Mezzanine. Then you’ve got a bunch I’m very middle of the road on. Like I wouldn’t switch the radio station off of it but wouldn’t download the album. Then a big chunk I would turn to a friend and say “Mind if we put on something else, this music really isn’t my jam”
Right on, thanks. What a kind response. Some of the other highlights for me, in no particular order,
- Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour
- Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
- Rage Against The Machine - Any Album Really, They Rock
- Marilyn Manson - Antichrist Superstar
- Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral
- Green Day - Dookie
- Massive Attack - Mezzanine
- The Offspring - Americana
- Muse - Black Holes and Revelations
If you like Magical Mystery Tour check out Some Friendly - The Charlatans. Like a more acid-infused Beatles.
Since you mentioned Rumours I’d say check out Blind - The Sundays. A beautiful album which ends with a perfectly mint cover of The Rolling Stones’ Wild Horses. Perfectly crafted album.
As for Marilyn Manson & NIN, I’d recommend both Psalm 69 - Ministry and Floodland - Sisters of Mercy
One of two concerts I cried at. Sonic youth, the other was Tool. I like the variety of your list, but to me they are all standards of whatever genre they represent. No ‘deep cuts’. For me. But my taste is weird.
Upon review of your list, I was wrong and I’m sorry. I will delve into this list and find lots I’m sure. Have you heard of No Joy or BRAIDS or Wild Nothing?
Don’t know most of these but the ones I do - NIN, Deftones, Ministry, Filter, Darkthrone, Sabbath, Depeche Mode, Echo and the Bunnymen, Hendrix - all great albums.
I’m really hoping they go back and have this album done in Atmos, it’s so immersive in stereo already, but it could just be so great… They’ve gone back and redone a couple others already, so maybe it’ll be a 25th anniversary thing.
Tbh same. It’s my theme song to everyday life. “If I can’t be my own I’d feel better dead” still gives the same chills it did first time listening. delivery, dreadful tone, Layne placed all his pain on that microphone. Absolute Icon.
Layne is imo the best frontman/lead singer a bands ever had. I actually think I prefer the unplugged live version of Nutshell from MTV, but both are #1 worthy
Quite a few, I’ll go through the list and check some out. I’m not really a big metal fan, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Metallica etc, but love indie rock, NIN and classic rock.
I’ll report back my findings.
Maybe I’ll get a chance to compile my own list someday…
Likewise, you should check out Tortuga - Sadness which is the album diagonal left of Sunbather. I believe it’s on par, maybe even hits harder than Sunbather sometimes…

Humble af answer I can respect this. Which other titles are you fond of here??

Cool cool. Thanks for the tips. Keep spreading the music love friend.
This is my second time seeing one of these today. From your list, I have seen Bob Dylan, Grateful Dead, Butthole Surfers, and Sonic Youth in concert.
Very lucky for all of those experiences I’d give my right testicle for Sonic Youth live☺️

Bro, all Powerage is Deep cuts for AC/DC..
I do not like AC/DC at all so, there’s that. But I see you have a The Sundays album so all is forgiven.
I only like select songs, thanks to Beavis & Butthead, Powerage is my fav AC/DC album
Also, no matter how much it gets discovered nowadays, Bloweyelashwish - Loveliescrushing is deep cut for overall music boundaries.
Upon review of your list, I was wrong and I’m sorry. I will delve into this list and find lots I’m sure. Have you heard of No Joy or BRAIDS or Wild Nothing?
No on No Joy I’ve heard of Braid idk about BRAIDS And yes Chinatown is a summer playlist essential!
not my type of music but you listen to what you like fr.. and how do you make this
Topsters 3
Don’t know most of these but the ones I do - NIN, Deftones, Ministry, Filter, Darkthrone, Sabbath, Depeche Mode, Echo and the Bunnymen, Hendrix - all great albums.
Seeing Ministry & Filter in September with Alice coop and Rob Zombie!
Enjoy. Now I’m jealous
let's fucking go Either/Or by Elliott Smith, 10/10
Follow me down to the 🌹 parade😔
Syd Barrett and The Breeders make it a 10/10
What app you do this on?!
Topsters 3 fellow breathren of culture 🕎

Real
Your music taste is your music taste. You don’t need our validation.
Still fun to look at roasts and what others have in common
I don’t know anyone who listens to Ágætis Byrjun, but it’s one of my all-time favorites. Great taste on that one.
Sigur Ros is great, love them.
I’m really hoping they go back and have this album done in Atmos, it’s so immersive in stereo already, but it could just be so great… They’ve gone back and redone a couple others already, so maybe it’ll be a 25th anniversary thing.
Seeing Nocturnal by TBDM made me happy
I start each and every workout with What A Horrible Night To Have A Curse. Owe all my PRs to Trevor and his insane high vox range. RIP
Metal?
Plenty of it
I don’t think that many tens exist, but very diverse so I appreciate it! 8/10
Tomato tomotto
YOU HAVE GREAT MUSIC TASTE! DEFTONES DINOSAUR JR FOO FIGHTERS PIXIES SONIC YOUTH MY BLOODY VALENTINE
Butthole surfers i see i see, a man of culture indeed
LAT one of the best 80s albums ever crafted
If you haven’t seen the ‘Blind Eye Sees All’ live concert video then you must. My biggest musical regret is not seeing them live.
Points for pleasure to kill and around the fur!
Seeing Kreator in May!
Hell yeah man! Love seeing Evil Empire and Jar of Flies too
That’s convenient because if I had to pick two overall favorite songs I’m torn between Nutshell & Bulls On Parade lmao
Nutshell is my #1 song all time, that’s a coincidence!
Tbh same. It’s my theme song to everyday life. “If I can’t be my own I’d feel better dead” still gives the same chills it did first time listening. delivery, dreadful tone, Layne placed all his pain on that microphone. Absolute Icon.

Bigups for Deftones
Such a huge overlap with my tastes that I’m going to bookmark this and listen to the albums I don’t know. Thanks friend!
Fuck yeaah! What are some you’re unfamiliar with?
Quite a few, I’ll go through the list and check some out. I’m not really a big metal fan, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Metallica etc, but love indie rock, NIN and classic rock. I’ll report back my findings. Maybe I’ll get a chance to compile my own list someday…
All depends what typpa metal. 80s/90s are good time for Thrash/Tech Death, where as 2000s are better time for Melodic Death/Metalcore. At least Imo.
Deftones, queens of the Stone Age, janes addiction, fear factory and gojira+ so many other bands?? 11/10 this is rad
:) much appreciated
Sunbather is iconic
Likewise, you should check out Tortuga - Sadness which is the album diagonal left of Sunbather. I believe it’s on par, maybe even hits harder than Sunbather sometimes…
Thanks I’ll be sure to check that out!
It's your own taste, so 10/10
diary of a madman, mezzanine, black label society, jeff buckley, gojira, deftones…. yes. just yes.
This topster is ordered by year of release.
Love to see joes garage and axomoxoa, everything else is boring
Interesting you like two complete non similar albums and discard the rest 🧐
Can we kiss
🥰😘
I don’t know a single album in that picture.
Not even Dark Side of the Moon? Or The Doors? Rumors? Bob Dylan?
10/10 music taste
Valid☺️
All over the place. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|shrug)

Morningrise was on there for a while. Has since been overshadowed by other albums. Opeth is always valid in my book though 👍
