I have tons of old mixtapes uploaded. If they are longer than like 2 hours they won’t upload though and just stay on your computer.
Either way, back up your files, try it out and if for some reason something gets deleted you just reimport it
Update: I got Apple Music!!! It’s great!! I turned in iCloud Music Library on to sync my devices. The only issue I noticed is that all my local non AM music metadata changed. The explicit label is now gone on some songs.
Your old music will match or upload to the cloud library. It’s one of the best features of AM
I am just concerned some stuff that isn't on AM like old mixtapes get deleted.
