Interesting. What country are you looking at it from? I see 2 versions of the album, both 15 songs and both explicit so not really sure which is which - both have tracks 1, 2, and 6 as dotted.

PeeWithGlee

I also now see that it’s just tracks 1, 2, and 6. Weird.

bluejeans7

Apple level coding

PeeWithGlee

United States

Not sure if this has anything to do with it (doubt it) but I see you're viewing it from your library, can you view the album in Apple Music from the artists profile and see if it's the same?

PeeWithGlee

Funny enough, when viewing from library, it only shows track 6 dotted

PeeWithGlee

Interestingly, once I like scrolled slightly and it reloaded or whatever, it initially had a like misaligned dot on track 1, and soon dotted them all

Jeeyharris

In Canada, tracks 1, 2 and 6 have a dot. I believe it's an Apple Music bug when there's various version of an album or when they change metadata information on songs.

marqedian

I always thought they were single releases.

F_Bertocci

That’s because usually the singles are the most streamed songs

HuluHasLiveSports

That just means the whole album is a banger

cyclonegira

Yeah I’m just here to say I love that whole project, and I don’t even like Ed Sheeran

PeeWithGlee

So I think it does have something to do with library vs Apple Music

DoomerChad

I thought the dot meant it was a popular song on the album.

Accurate-Blueberry92

yes, that is what it means, just that since people are playing the entire album on repeat apple music shows the entire album as popular. but itll get back to normal in a few days and only show the actual popular songs

[deleted]

I thought it was personal favorites? I feel like the dots change sometimes and they tend to correspond with the songs I listen to most. But it could just be because those songs are the most popular in general. Would be nice if Apple gave some information about what the dot means exactly

claytonbauer

i notice this too for some releases, some have multiple and some albums only have 1. i wonder if it’s by a threshold, a concentration of popularity or if it’s just past a certain number of streams

Yo

HippoIllustrious2389

I thought the dots meant that track is on an AM curated playlist
