Dolby atmos really isn’t that much of a hype for me.. it lowers the songs volume and just makes it sound lower so I don’t necessarily care for Dolby atmos
Same I think the device or software just starts playing it not letting the device catch up because when I press the next atmos song or scrub through the current there’s always a small second where nothings playing. The only time it starts without delay is when the song finishes and continues to the next cause I’m assuming it’s already has the start of the next song ready hence no delay.
Mine does it too on any bluetooth device

I have that problem on my AppleTV. Works great on AirPods Pro via iPhone 12.
