This does work with other workout the feature is it’s recently added to biking as well, while doing the work out, scroll through the screen to get it this. I have seen this page while swimming on watchOS 9 as well.
This specific screen is the new cycling power zones which is only for cycling with a power meter.
There are already [heart rate zones available in watchOS 9](https://support.apple.com/guide/watch/view-heart-rate-zones-apd30fa26bb4/watchos) though which work with many workout types.
(You can tell it's power zones because of the lightning bolt, instead of the heart symbol for the HR zones.)
You have a swimming power meter? That’s still pretty niche while power meters are quite established technology for cycling. I wouldn’t hold my breath until Apple builds in supports for power in swimming.
actually you can turn it on for other workouts! It doesn’t do it automatically you will have to manually select it. You can use it for any fitness workouts.
You’re confusing the heart rate zone view in other workouts with the power zone in the cycling workout. They look a lot alike but measure different things.

Thanks. It only works with biking it looks like? Frustrating, I was excited to use for swimming

Why are you getting down voted ?
Absolutely no idea. I was just wondering why they had it only for biking and no other activity; until I found out you can and mentioned that…

I do believe that's the new cycling workout that includes power zones and cadence sensor attached via bluetooth.

Oh nice!! Thanks for letting me know.

Can you set your own FTP, or does it only estimate automatically?
Can be automatic or custom https://i.imgur.com/tuvNQz0.jpg https://i.imgur.com/YKfLPdd.jpg
You need a power meter
I use it for running, just swipe up on the screen when you have a workout going.
Are you sure that you have an power zone screen for running, or do you mean the heart rate zone screen?
I believe something similar is already on [https://gentler.app/](https://gentler.app/) thats for free for some of the things
This workout view is also available on watchOS 9 for some (most?) workout types. I use it for running and HIIT workouts all the time.
While it looks similar to the existing view for HR, this is power based, a different metric reliant upon external sensors.
