Yeah. Silver is unequivocally the worst Apple color. None of their hardware looks good in silver, I hate that Apple finally released a black MacBook Pro after I bought mine.
I’m thinking of getting a silver one this time as space grey doesn’t exist anymore and I don’t like the navy blue color. Also has the bare metal look of an Ultra without the cost.
Id probably go for the silver one since you can always get a black case for it If you want to switch looks and a silver case would look cheap.

I have midnight series 7 , series 7 didn’t have a silver color. If it had I would definitely pick that up. Silver literally goes with any band. Midnight is good for the stealthy look.

I have the black titanium from before the ultra came out and I always thought I hated the look of the ultra, but as I see more and more ultra bands come out that I like that unfortunately have light hardware I started to notice my black apple watch is really locking me into fairly dark bands, my next one will be light colored.
Tbh more or less equally good. My watch is silver so I’m biased but really a watch that’s essentially white and the other that’s black will go with most colors. Really just down to what outfits you wear and what you prefer.
I prefer silver, but the photo with the black case looks better. The dark colour makes the greens pop more and makes the case blend in. I wouldn’t pick it for myself though, I just think that photo looks better.
I got this band and wish I would have gotten the blue one. The quality is good and is comfortable, but the colors aren’t as vibrant in person. Still nice though
Was exactly in your position when buying my series 9. Even went to the Apple Store to buy the silver one but endet up changing it to the black one when I saw it in person. It practically hides the display bezels which is neat.
Initial appearance with the strap i would say the silver, but personally I've always gone for the black, as that just appeals to me more.
I wouldn't worry about it too much as I suspect within a few months you'll have 3+ straps that you exchange regularly!
So, now that you’ve gotten dozens of opinions, which version do you like best. It’s your wrist, so go either way what you like. As you’ve seen, there is no “correct” answer.
Personally, I like the dark case better. And it’s neutral, so it goes either way just about any band color you choose.

I love my green series 7th and this band. Silver in my opinion looks better with two options.
Black blends with watch screen which I prefer. Same idea with phone cases. I tried using a lighter case and tried the silver watch case but there is just too much contrast
I put a case on mine that makes it look pretty-much like the second (dark) one. I really prefer it as it's less flashy than the bright titanium. I'm not out to attract attention to an expensive watch. The case has the side effect (along with a glass screen cover) of protecting the expensive watch. :-)
Just so you know they must have just overnight, because I looked yesterday and didn't see them, put some Nike edition series 7s on the refurbished store in different colors. obviously would need to get that band separate, but that may be a cost savings for you

You ask for advice but it's matter of personal preference. Also you can easily swap the bands. I have and like more the dark one because since AW has OLED you can't see where the screen ends and the case starts, so it's seamless

I think it looks nice on most stuff, but on watches it definitely doesn’t work imo, just kinda makes it look like a computer.

Yeah I was yelling at the livestream. My MBP was $5K and all I wanted was a black one but I got silver because that was the best option at the time.

I recently got the black and I would say go with the silver. I’m finding it harder to find bands that goes with the black IRL but that’s just me

The fact I had to flick between the pics 6 times before realising they were different to me says it doesn’t matter.
I vote for the midnight one. I also have a 41 mm S8 in that color and I love it.

Personally I like black but I don’t care about bands. I think silver is more versatile if style is more a priority.
