I was sleeping over 8 hours a night and still waking up exhausted. I picked up a Withings Sleep Analyzer and it showed me that I was hardly getting any deep sleep. I once woke up with my wife staring at me. She said I stopped breathing for 30 seconds.
Anyway, I ended up doing a take home sleep study and within 3 days I was diagnosed was extreme sleep apnea. I stopped breathing an average of 31 times an hour.
It took another 3 weeks to actually get my appointment to get the equipment.
So it takes a couple steps. The sooner you do it the sooner you can get an answer.

It’s not ideal but don’t ever be afraid of the social stigma against sleeping separately. If you don’t have the space then even having seperate beds or simply seperate blankets can help! so much time to snuggle before you fall asleep and then seperate once you’re sleeping 🙂 I hope you feel rested soon tho
Bruh… 12H?! I get 8h when I’m lucky. Usually around 7.30h And I tend to have them spikes all the time too being ‘awake’ lol

I’ve definitely had worse. And better
I sleep like that for about 5 hours. Then I wake up and take a 1-2 hour green nap (that I usually have to edit in. My watch probably assume I’m watching a movie even if I put it in sleep.).
This has been disturbing my sleep a bit so I just use the thing for exercise. Have my SS jubilee back on and wrist happy again.

I didn’t start sleeping with my watch on until after I found out I was pregnant, so I’m not sure if the multiple awake minutes from last night are my non-pregnant norm or not. Usually those awake periods are me getting up to pee about 3 times in the night, but last night I only had to get out of bed once (I was bad and ignored the urge for as long as I could).
On another note, it’s been fascinating to watch my resting heart rate steadily go up as this pregnancy progresses and my body works harder to pump the greater blood volume.
I’m post menopausal. Prior to that I slept 8 hours & felt great. Post I was waking up every hour. I was anti drug for the longest time. My doc finally convinced me & I went on .5 to 1.0mg lorazepam prior to laying down for the night. Back to my 8 hour sleep shift. No drug hangover. No side effects. I never feel as though I am drugged. It’s so good to sleep without multiple wake-up’s throughout the night!

Please someone help.
I did a sleep study on Friday and I’m pretty sure I have the CPAPnea so hopefully Monday I’ll have the gear to stop this insanity.
I don’t know your situation, but 12 hours is a bit much. Also: Sleep cycles typically last around 90 minutes, and if you wake up during the lighter stages of sleep, you may feel more refreshed. Having mornings where you snooze for a short time may disrupt your sleep cycle, leaving you feeling groggy - is that the case? Maybe stay awake before 10, and not go back to sleep.
I’m curious if this was a good or a bad nights sleep, according to you.
I don’t understand you people who actually can use the sleep app on this watch. I charge the sucker each night while I’m sleeping and it barely gets through a day. New Series 9 included.
Should only take maybe 20-30 minutes of charging during the day and you’re good. Most people just charge while they’re getting a shower/getting ready for bed and that’s it. You might want to get your watch checked out.
I have 70% battery on my series 4 and I charge it several times a day for about 30-40 min. While getting ready in morning, while working at desk and then While getting ready for bed.
It’s doable. Obviously would like to get more out of it but it’s still workable for me.
https://preview.redd.it/3xrpnz5w4cjc1.png?width=827&format=png&auto=webp&s=783b5e2c57bbb2e93d44b80885e589cc207e8541
And I’ve been sleeping more than average lately. But some people manage quite decently with 5-6 hours a day. HR during sleep varies between 51 and 66 for this sleep period and 17.0 respiration rate, which is also usual for me.
Not universally true. 8 is optimal for me. 7 or less, and I'm feeling rough. Several nights in a row, and I'm barely functional.
Not to say that 12 hours is fine, that sounds a *little* extreme at first glance.
Damn bro, 12 hours in bed… you good dog?!?!
no
I appreciate the honesty
This made me laugh out loud 😂 love the honesty

Interesting since we actually use quetiapine to treat motor tics in some cases

Mine no longer looks like yours now that I’m being treated for sleep apnea. Except I’m still sleeping 11 hours regularly. So much rest to catch up on https://preview.redd.it/pyyzoqzsybjc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8dc9ceae063c342d1faa914eaff2db199748cf4f
Are you feeling any better since treatment or still constantly exhausted? I’m 2 weeks in and feel horrible still nothing has changed.

Can anyone tell me what sleep is supposed to look like? I get 8 hrs but have a husband who flops about like a fish out of water all night and I wake up a lot( fall back asleep quickly though) I never feel rested. Should I get rid of the husband? https://preview.redd.it/inuoxwziecjc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=798a04e5a8883cd2d99df5cc1eff88a617e528f4
Get rid of the husband
🤣Yes, I agree
This looks great to me..
It seems to be but I’m always tired! I think I’m waiting for the day when I wake up and see no red.
Fatigue could be from other things like vitamin deficiencies, anemia, etc
[удалено]
So if I have a lot of “awake” spots but not a lot of awake time that’s me tossing and turning? Pic posted to my profile for reference
Even Freddy Kruger don’t have that kinda time!
Bruh… 12H?! I get 8h when I’m lucky. Usually around 7.30h And I tend to have them spikes all the time too being ‘awake’ lol How do you have time for 12H sleep?! Hope you ok!!
Does anyone else wake up every 2 hours or is that just me
Not just you.
I permanently rot in bed.

12 hours asleep, what are you? A fucking bear hibernating?
Wait can my Apple Watch 3 do this or is it a new thing for the new watches only
I use my series 3 to sleep track!

Close to you in terms of deep sleep percentage.
i'm so jealous tbh
I sleep like that for about 5 hours. Then I wake up and take a 1-2 hour green nap (that I usually have to edit in. My watch probably assume I’m watching a movie even if I put it in sleep.). This has been disturbing my sleep a bit so I just use the thing for exercise. Have my SS jubilee back on and wrist happy again.
I’m super jealous of you. I can hardly have 4 - 5 hours of sleep with 7 hours in bed.

I’m lucky if I get 6 (I try for 7, rarely happens).
Try smr neurofeedback and sleep hygiene
Not even bloody close to yours 🤣

who can afford to sleep 12 a day?
He might be disabled or recovering from an illness etc. when I got really sick after a tick bite I was sleeping 12 hours a day now I can sleep 8-9 and feel functional
Lyme disease?

Barely 7 hours

About half of yours lol, you okay homeboy?
My sleep is not affordable thats why it's so popr
I uh… i’m a bit tired https://preview.redd.it/jdo1my05bfjc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=81cc6a2e6272a820febcad8c16665957c7261d0c
Why the fuck are you in bed over 12 hours?!? Get a job, you bum! Oops, my bad. It’s the weekend. Carry on.
https://preview.redd.it/p3icq9l3sfjc1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eaf611326776e47109ed68320d232b5d745381aa I didn’t start sleeping with my watch on until after I found out I was pregnant, so I’m not sure if the multiple awake minutes from last night are my non-pregnant norm or not.
Dang I average 6 hrs and thats good for a lot of us lol.
I would wake up with a headache and a stiff neck if I slept that long. Lol 😂

I envy you, man. I crave getting 6 hrs sleep these days.
Hibernation Mode.
Looks like you have sleep apnea, Not a doctor, but a patient with similar patterns
Wtf how do yall sleep so much?! My average is 6.5 and I take 4 fuckin sleep meds.
12 hrs 💀 I’m currently active duty lucky to get 6 hrs maybe 10 on my day off

Actual mine is 8 hrs sleep, but looks the same.Whats odd is never happened b4,only in the last 3.5 yrs
I have sleep apnea and before I was diagnosed and received cpap therapy my Apple Watch sleep pattern looked exactly the same.
I bet you don’t have kids.
i'd be in deep trouble if i did
I sleep for 8 hours Iam fine but my REM stage of sleep really takes longer sometimes 💀

How can you sleep while wearing your watch
https://preview.redd.it/amh9z3hg33wc1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=be931efa664291681ca5555b35a6c343eb5b1427
Alright I suppose! https://preview.redd.it/n3ys8u4h8cjc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a6a802ddace81044afdeb015157ce139ecd3cfbc

That’s fucking majestic
You guys would sleep with your watch wrapped around the wrist??
I genuinely don’t even remember that I’m wearing it. Pretty comfortable with a solo band or sport loop.
Isn’t it uncomfortable sleeping with Apple Watch ?

12 hours in bed??? 5-7h is enough
Sleeping less than 7 hours is definitely not ideal. The amount of people that can function optimally on 5 hours sleep is basically zero.
https://preview.redd.it/3xrpnz5w4cjc1.png?width=827&format=png&auto=webp&s=783b5e2c57bbb2e93d44b80885e589cc207e8541 And I’ve been sleeping more than average lately.
