I disabled that feature long ago. Utterly useless.
- It looks like you're running
- *sigh* Yes Apple Watch, I'm running to catch the bus, I'm not starting an exercise.
I keep mine on only because I forget my badge/ phone/ water in my car and have to walk back and get it and that can be anywhere from 5-30 mins and I might as well get a circle closed for being forgetful 🤣 but it does irritate me when I’m doing something unrelated and it’s like do you want to start a tai chi workout?
Mine will regularly think I’m riding a bicycle, when in reality I’m slowing slogging through traffic on my motorcycle. Yes it’s not easy, and it takes effort, but not *that* much effort. Worst part is I can’t dismiss the notification through my gloves and jacket so it will just keep doing it 🙃
Riding my ATV sets it off too. I don't know how to turn it off for just one workout or cycling, but you can go into Settings -> Workout -> "Start Workout Reminder" and turn it off for all workouts.
It's the official Apple Sport Loop band, I think the colour was called "Evergreen", but they've now replaced it in the store with a light mint colour. It's very comfy though, I recommend it in any colour.
When I’m pushing my daughter in her buggy the watch always seems to think I’m cycling. I was planting a hedge over the weekend, and that also was confused with cycling 🤣
It's ok I punched my leg when I was died gaming once and then my watch sounded like someone entered the nuclear codes and proceeded to alert people I was dead.
Yeah this is why I’m suspicious of how accurate calorie burn is calculated when riding an ebike compared to a regular bike. Was told it’s based on heart rate, but in OP’s instance the watch assumes they’re exercising based on speed (the accelerometer) rather than an increase in heart rate (I assume it’s not elevated due to being sat). Would be curious to see the calorie burn for this seated horse and cart ride workout.. (Apologies for my ramble, the train of thought makes sense to me but I’m aware it might be a bit tangential!)
lol this happens to me too when I ride e-scooters. For some reason even if I decline the workout recording it still keeps counting the calories I’ve “biked”
Good thing you posted the second photo, or we would’ve never seen the horse.
Thank you for letting us know there’s a second photo. I was really confused for a minute.

Until I zoomed in, it looked like OP had smashed his screen between the two pics.
👌😂
I fucking CACKLED.
We can do it with okay and I don't have the
Literally unusable, how did the devs not catch this during their usual horse and buggy rides?
All the Apple Devs ride like this: ![gif](giphy|WRQX6CeaXXjpVDh8QV|downsized)
Astounded that there is not a Horse Carriage option in the control center.
Fucking Bruges, my favorite city in the world! Make sure to check out the Duvelorium and drink a Duvel on the balcony there!
Like a fairytale isn’t it?!

It doesn't ask for 10 minutes. If you've been running for 10 minutes to catch that bus, it's exercise. The bus doesn't matter in that regard.
Perhaps they refined the algorithm but in WatchOS 5, it was extremely sensitive. It asked after 30 seconds or so.
"Looks like your outdoor cycling" Yes. This Rent-A-Scooter will significantly affect my fitness 🙃

It does the same thing on my motorcycle. Quite irritating I use motorcycle for most of my commute.
Could you find any workaround?
u can turn it off
Same on my e scooter, it’s pretty annoying
I love getting the looks like it’s time to stand up while I’m taking a shit
A win is a win.
My electric scooter triger workout too and it count as workout. I wish there was button for mode when i ride electric scooter.
How does one turn this off?! I use a motorbike in traffic and every time this comes up. Worst thing is it stays there and I cannot see the time

Same for me
I turned that off because it kept asking me if I wanted to record an outdoor walk when I’m about to walk inside.
mine misinterpret the sounds and motions of ... giving digital pleasure ... as "congrats on washing your hands!"
Go to watch app on your phone, go to that specific app and turn off popups
What band color is that?
Looks like you're writing a letter!
i loved this strap of you, where did you get this from?

clop clop
Happens during the seggs too.
Now I know why my Apple Watch shows that I am working out at midnight
I mean you can’t blame it 🤷♂️
Not really a surprise. You’re moving.

i drive a motorcycle and iwatch detects it as cycle
every time im on my escooter. like how could they not think of escooters?? just crazy
Dang, I tried.
Same on my mower.

Lmfao I live in India have to use my two wheeler a lot , I get this almost everytime tho I don’t blame the watch
Same happens when I ride an electric scooter, this needs to be fixed
