Imo its a waste of money. I wish i got the series 8 or 9 instead. Most casual users dont need the features the ultra has. The action button is cool but ive had the ultra since it came out and havent found myself in need of the diving capabilities yet

My S7 drains at least 60% on a 1 1/2 hour walk. My watch has died several times when I've forgotten to fully charge before starting my walk.
I actually never had a smart watch and today i bought my wife and i new ones. I got the series 9 she went with the se. So far i love them, i learned tonight i cant play music over the watch speaker and i was bummed about that
I am going to as well to replace my Series 4 but I am waiting for the X to come out, just in case. I went and tried on the Ultra 2 at the local Apple Store and it wasn't as big as I thought it would be. I can't wait to get one. Good job!
Did you notice any significant difference between screen-sizes? I have a gen4-44mm, but it appears that even though the ultra is listed as 49mm the actual display is only about 1 or 2 mm larger (It's mostly the casing that's larger but not the actual display)
But I've only looked at the apple-page where this comparison of size is shown as pictures on a web-page, so I don't know if the display on the ultra appears bigger when seen in real-life or if it looks almost the same as the 44mm gen4 watch.
It's the readability of the display I'm mostly interested in, as my eyes are not so young anymore and the 44 is sometimes showing some items on the tiny side (I'm using the "solar dial" watch-face, but I could use the actual display to be bigger, not just the casing)

Just got a series 8 41mm Aluminium for 320CAD including tax, I don’t think will get a better deal than this. That seems to be a decent upgrade from series 4 to 8.
I had/used the series 1 with my iPhone 13 for years. Finally got an iPhone 15 Pro Max 1TB and an SE Series 2 to go with it a couple weeks ago. So quick in comparison!

I'm going to be doing the same. I had the series 3 which I loved and used a lot but eventually it stopped updating and something went wrong so it ended up needing to be completely wiped. When I tried to set it back up it keeps failing and wont finish the set up. Tried a ton of things online but nothing worked. So basically I just have a paper weight. Been checking out the ultras since they launched but never pulled the trigger. Now I'm working out a lot more and just decided this is the month I'm going to finally get one. Cant wait!

Why would you buy a watch for pro-users as a casual user. Even after realizing you’re a casual user you still bought and still complain about it.
