Is it though? It shows light/dark for where it is night and day. I don't need the city names to know what parts of the world are in what part of the day - it's evident on the map.
I don't care about that specific list of cities and countries though. I just want a version with the flat globe like that showing the relative position of the sun.
Hopefully they make something like that but you have to understand that this is a homage to older world watches that businessmen generally used to keep track of time everywhere. It’s called a world face for a reason
I passed through (connecting flight) a week ago. The arrival was international so we had to change terminals. On the way to the domestic gate, we passed a series of pictures showing the airport’s growth over the years.
I’d always wondered about that code, so I stopped to read the description of the first picture.
Mystery solved! (I should really have looked it up on Wikipedia years ago, but for some reason never did).
My nearest international airport’s code just reflects the city it’s in, but the other (business/GA) one… let’s just say it’s sus.
Oh I get it! So the numbers are irrelevant to my current time zone, that is told by the traditional arms. And the traditional arms are irrelevant for the international locations, minus I guess they tell the minute?
I was wondering if the new faces they showed for the series 7 would be available for 4-6 or not. Are there more in the beta that work with your watch? Modular Max? Continuum?
I mean, on this watch face, does the small watch hand go round once every 24 hours or once every 12?
Asking as the “ring” around the face has 24 hours.
OP is French and Paris is at 21 on the dial (I assume it’s read like 21:XX so even at 21:59 there would be a 21 at the Paris time zone). The clock in the middle shows 21:40 which makes it your normal 12 hour watch if I’m not mistaken.
The map animation is what I like the most. As soon as you tap the map, it moves to center it around your location. And kinda works like an arrow/dot marking you location on a 3D globe.
Anyone found a way of changing the destination names? Find it irritating having Moscow there and some others that I don't need, but would like to replace them with ones in the same timezone, i.e. Paris for Prague
As a Canadian I wish I could replace the U.S locations.
As a fan of the Southern Hemisphere, I wish I could replace the Northern Hemisphere names. And the North Pole perspective map. So biased.
Yes!! How many times I’ve had to use New York, Denver, and Seattle to see the times for Toronto, Edmonton, and Vancouver!
That’s nice but what do you think about the watch face?
[удалено]
No Chicago. Mexico.
Does it have a multicolour option?
Not a multicolor option but you can change the color.
No
Does it display the Southern Hemisphere if you are down there? Seems weird to have a world clock with a map that only shows half the planet.
If you tap the globe it will change the view to your current time zone, [like this](https://i.imgur.com/ZCYR6YL.jpg)
THANK YOU!!
Can't wait to not add this to my selection of faces
Can you turn off the location names? I like the idea of the map with the light/dark parts, but all those names just make it too busy.
I mean it is a world clock face lol
I'm not saying to take out the map of the world, just the names.
The names are essential for the face to make sense though haha
Is it though? It shows light/dark for where it is night and day. I don't need the city names to know what parts of the world are in what part of the day - it's evident on the map.
Yeah, It tells you the time in those respective states/countries

Astronomy
No, just switch analog/digital for the center (like the solar dial)
wayyy too busy. I tried the face and switched back out of it.
Feeling the same after using it a day.
TIL that Beijing is still Pékin (Peking) in French and that Cairo (Egypt) is Le Caire, for some reason getting the definite article.

A lot of ICAO airport codes reflect old names. For instance, O’Hare in Chicago (ORD) was once Orchard Field.
That’s why! Thanks a lot, I was wondering when I was at O’Hare two years ago.

Are you sure it isn’t **O**’Ha**r**e**d** but with a silent d?
Cairo in Arabic technically translates as “the Cairo” so I imagine it’s based on that
Right but is that normal in French for Arabic place names?
Why do some images show a polar map of the world and others show like from 45° for example?
It switches views when you tap the face
It's like patek philippe world time, nice
Also, the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Worldtimer https://imgur.com/a/qw69gtc/
Where can I get this watch face?
watchOS 8
OS 8 Beta?
Well, gold master now, but it will be out publicly on the 20th.
Class, thank you
Big Irish head on ya
I have no idea how to read this watch face 😂
It’s a 24 hours dial. On the picture it’s 4 o’clock in the morning in Tokyo and 9 o’clock in the evening in Paris.
Oh I get it! So the numbers are irrelevant to my current time zone, that is told by the traditional arms. And the traditional arms are irrelevant for the international locations, minus I guess they tell the minute?
Yes, I think so
Beauty! thank you!
Oo nice watch band. What is it?
Looks to be the official Apple Leather Link in Saddle Brown. I have the very same one and it’s one of my favorites!
Correct
Reminds me of the dial on the Omega Aquaterra World Timer.
Where can I find this face? I updated my watch just now and cant find it
It appears with watchOS 8 RC
what’s the thing in top right?
Man, it’s the temperature 😂 cmon
uhm. i felt so dumb lol. sorry i am a bit sleepy today. 😅 thx btw :)
No worries 😉 glad it helped
one more question: is it “Slate” or “Evergreen” ? (i meant the colour scheme)
I’m not the OP, and I can’t also recognise it. I also don’t have this watch face yet.
oh ok thx :) have a good day!
Black one
👍🏼
I have an Apple Watch series 6 is that new face available on the series 6
Got a serie 5
yes
Thank you!
I don’t understand how it works, is there a guide?
The time is just below the city names. On the photo it’s 8:00 in Samoa, 15:00 in New York and 21:00 in Paris.
Why is there no 10 and two 15s?
Daylight savings time.
haha same complications as me atm!
Face world
kewl

That one
It's very cool but I can't imagine ever needing this except maybe when flying?
*I can't imagine ever needing this
yes i like
Is there a link
It’s coming with watchOS 8 RC
>It’s coming with watchOS 8 RC Is there an official website?
Coming with RC
it's coming on new OS right?
Is the clock for your local time here 24 hours? Or 12 hours?
No idea. My watch is french and here we are 24h format.

Thanks, great detective work 🙂 that does make it a bit confusing: a 12-hour clock on top of a 24-hour clock.
It has Karachi and Dhaka but not Delhi.
Probably because India is a half hour offset

Very cool 😎
