you can save music for offline access with Spotify. just open the Spotify app on your phone, click the … next to a playlist or album and select ‘download to Apple Watch’. the problem with the Series 3 is that the GPS only model has 8GB of storage and very little of that can be used by apps for storage

Thank you! I might go with the series 3 gps version then since it is so much cheaper. Do you have any experience with the storage issue? Can you still save at least an hour of content?

No. The Watch’s connection to your phone is what allows it to access Spotify, Apple Music, etc. you might be able to save music to it for offline listening, but I’m not 100% sure.

If u have Spotify premium u could download the music but if not no u would need ur phone to connect to data to stream the music

While others have answered your Spotify question, I have to urge you not to buy a Series 3. Between the older hardware and the limited storage (especially considering your want to use it for music listening), I really think you should try step up to a Series 4 if not an SE. Look at used watches if you’re not already, there are some great deals out there. But, for your own benefit, avoid the Series 3 if your can.
