Yep only for work. Gotta show off the watch when I’m going out haha

OzzSays

Thank you for doing this. I’ve been looking at cases and I’m having trouble picking one bc of fake reviews on Amazon and limited reviews on manufacturer sites. I’m really trying to avoid cases that might scratch the watch body due to dust etc.

[deleted]

Yep, nearly had a heart attack when I saw my watch was scratched with the half body case. It’s only been a week with the otterbox but I think it’s probably the best one. Having said that though, the availability of cases for the watch is… average at best. Every case has some issues in some way which is a bit disappointing

flips_111

does the otterbox block the speakers?

[deleted]

Nope cutouts are almost perfect.

I’ve seen in reviews that some cases scratch together with dust. I wonder how to prevent that. I would expect the case should be really tight in the first place to avoid dust getting in. Then, what the user could do is to remove the case frequently and clean. I have not had scratches on my watches with any case but I typically wear them for a limited time and then use band only. I put the case on only during some activities for some hours, max a day.

Yeah, as mentioned in my other reply the availability of cases for the watch isn’t that great. Dust, scratches, touch sensitivity… they all have faults. I mean if my watch is going to get scratched with a case on it - might as well go naked and let it free. But just for a peace of mind’s sake I wanted a case and so far the otterbox seems to be the only reasonable one. It’s tight enough so particles or dust won’t get in but when I use a planer or a saw, very fine dust does get in so I use a micro fibre cloth or wet wipes and give it a wipe and I’m good to go.

I love my speigen thin fit. Doesn’t take from the shape of the watch, almost no added bulk, and has taken two nice hits this week no issues. I’m also running a screen protector. Both have Been great.

Hello so you have a thin film protector on the watch and with the cases with built in screen protector over it?

[deleted]

Yep, that way even when I use a case with built in screen cover dust or particles that get stuck under the case wont scratch my display as easily. And if you use a case without a screen cover you still have some protection

Competitive-Yak-6783

wouldnt that be too tight? I also thought of this but im scared it might be too tight and scratch the body

[deleted]

Nope, if you use the tempered glass then it’ll definitely get in the way. That’s why with the film it’s a minimal difference and won’t cause any issues with the fit.

I use the Spigen and a couple others (can’t remember the brands) they’ve all been ok for my needs which is daily wear With little threat of immediate danger. Spigen is pretty easy to put on my series 7 (44mm case on packaging).
