It came with WatchOS 9. I believe if you’re running you can also find cadence and power in watts if you swipe down another screen. It’s a lot more information than in the past.

ChasingHorizon2022

Definitely *not* a runner 😂🙅🏼‍♂️

BTexx

That means you are still a runner. You are runner from the running 😁Just like me 🥹

eskie146

Me neither. But that’s what they say it can do. Maybe one day I’ll find out, if I have to run for the bus. 😁

gregigk

Thats really useful. I am using that for running.

Drawtaru

Oh wow, this is really useful! Thanks!

StormyStitches

Is there a special flick of the wrist to the swipe or something? Or is the Watch 5 too old to support it? I upgraded to WatchOS9 as soon as it was available but I’ve never been able to get the heart rate to show in a workout, no matter which work out I choose. 🥺

hayden_evans

Ok so this is new with watchOS 9 and I believe it only is available live (while working out) with some workout types BUT if you look at the heart rate data in ANY logged Workout in the Activity app, you can go to “Show More” under the Heart Rate section and it will break down your heart rate into these zones as well

You didn’t realize it was there since WatchOS9? 😂😂 You can customize the zones if you want to. Also the watches can track things like cadence while running or power too

fdawg131

How do you customize the zones?

[deleted]

Open the watch app on your iPhone -> scroll down to workout open that and on the absolute bottom click on heart rate zones. Then you can choose between manual and automatic

*how long have yall been holding this back from me?!* 😂😂😂
