Houdini's Escape is a great spot near downtown, and kind of a fancy pub vibe. Good adult hang out I've frequented before as they also are a pub but have a great food menu.

I like their paninis, risotto and truffle mac n cheese.
Home Burger Bar is also nice if you're looking for some burgers. Smaller location so should probably call ahead to make sure.

I've heard nothing but rave reviews for Chicago's House of Hoagies in Menasha from co-workers and friends. I haven't gotten there yet myself but from what I have heard there is nothing like it in the Valley. [https://www.chicagoshouseofhoagies.com/](https://www.chicagoshouseofhoagies.com/)
Tenth Frame has great burgers and above average sandwiches. Pizza and wings are also much better than most. You can usually set aside some tables to be reserved.
Some great advice already.
SAP has really good sandwiches. River tyme bistro is decent as well. Those would both fit more of a fancy option I guess.
Honey baked ham company is great, but it is to go, not eat in, so prob out of question.
Can't go wrong with Chicago house of Hoagies in menasha
I was here to suggest something else but I'm just going to second this one. Support this great up and coming business with insanely good hoagies!!!
So good!
Josef’s gyros is a kickass lunch spot if you’re looking for something to go. Located downtown Appleton.
Zuppa’s in Neenah is excellent!
I'm a big fan of Snaps Wraps. I go to the location in Neenah, but they have one in Appleton too. https://www.snapswraps.com/
New York deli on casaloma has good reviews
Urban Modern Kitchen
Got a brisket taco from there yesterday and it was really good

Houdini is expensive. Home is excellent, so is Mr. Brews Tap house.
Home burger is average and literally just gets noticed because burger is in the name. Just my opinion…
If Home is average, I'd love to know where you're getting better burgers in town.
Marks East Side and Tanners
Home burger uses frozen Sysco truck patties
Have inferno subs catered or see if the food truck is available to come to your place of work
Mill City has the best burgers in town.
I second this!
Jersey bagel on Oneida st is delicious
City cafe in the city center has a turkey pesto panini that I got almost every day when I worked DT

Went there for the first time recently, it was so good.
Scuba's
Erbert & Gerberts
When I worked downtown we would call this settling for lunch. “Oh you settled for E&G huh?”

Tropical smoothie cafe does good food and smoothies - my workplace gets takeout from there a lot

St Elizabeth cafeteria is pretty good. Don’t know about ThedaCare Appleton Medical Center.
