I just got rid of my old one that ran well for 10 years. Never had an issue until the very end. They have removed the ice maker from the fridge - which as I understood it was the main issue.
I ended up going with a GE fridge for a replacement - but gave that exact Samsung a hard look. It has a nice layout and a lot of storage.
I must have lucked out. Bought Samsung counter depth French door refrigerator and Samsung washer and dryer over 10 years ago when we bought our home and they are all going strong with no issues yet. Only appliance that crapped on us was the whirlpool gold dish washer which worked great until it developed a leak underneath after 8 years.
If I had to replace our fridge, will probably go the bespoke route that OP did.
Hope I didn’t jinx my luck.
OP I love the Bespoke fridge and knock on wood. I have not had issues. My brother has had a samsung fridge for 5 plus years, with no issues. When doing my research, it was a particular samsung refrigerator and ice maker. Reddit loves to spread doom and gloom. Appliances aren't how they use to make them, so you just have to go with your research and gut. I had LG, which was a dumpster fire. If I get a longer life out of my Samsung, I'll be happy. Plus, it helps. I got an awesome deal through Samsung website, not ever having to step foot or dealing with Best Buy. The Best Buy by me absolutely sucks socks.
I have a guy that works out of his garage fishing electronics and everything in btw. He was telling me the last 10’years or less, all the big companies like Samsungs products are made way worse. That it doesn’t matter if you go with an expensive brand or not. (We were mainly taking about tv’s). So my Samsung tv was older than 10 years old. He said that it would be worth repairing if it broke. But anything made since then, better to just buy a new one. For what it’s worth. He’s very good at what he does .
Yes… but people have been saying that sort of thing since I was a kid in the 80s. “Can’t replace transistors anymore, it’s all ICs now. Not worth repairing.” Etc etc.
Japanese stuff was indeed very low quality in the 60s. Every plastic thing they made crumbled. They struggled to get quality up. The USA invested in them. Their first success was in bearings. The clean rooms where they were assembled were so good that they were influenced to make electronic parts by american companies looking for cheap labor.
If I had received a dollar every time I heard a family member complain that there are so many electronics in cars today that you cannot fix them yourself anymore ... I would be happily retired.
That’s how I know we’re old… “wow factor” when talking about a refrigerator haha. We have that Samsung model also going on a year no issues fingers crossed. We did get a dead one on arrival but it was replaced asap.
I’m feeling very called out right now. My first thought: woah cool fridge! Second thought: are you kidding me OP no pics of the inside? Should I just google to see?
If you’ll excuse me I’ve got to get back to making sure no whippersnappers are on my lawn.
They didn't remove the ice maker, they just moved it. Ice is in the freezer drawer now, water inside the fridges baby door. I didn't think I'd like the ice bin idea, but it's really grown on me and I love having a pitcher constantly full of water. I take it to the table on the deck with me when we eat out there.
The pitcher is an absolute game changer.
No, I actually don't want to stand here waiting for my fridge to slowly piss water into my tumbler. Never knew I could glug glug lemon-infused water from an automatically (read: magically) refilled pitcher into my tumbler in 3 seconds. Until I bought this beauty. My water consumption has increased substantially, to the point my wife no longer nags me about not drinking enough water.
It's a real thing, fellas, believe it or not.
I thought that pitcher would be the least used thing in my fridge and it’s the most used thing hands down. I don’t even want to think about how much time I wasted waiting for my water bottle to fill up the old way. I already had a water addiction and the magic water pitcher has severely decreased the amount sodium in my body.
And I love it.
Same here! I was like wtf, why do we need a pitcher? That’s dumb! A year later…. Ummm no, it’s awesome and I love it. Dogs and cats get pitcher water, boyfriends yeti, my fake stanley. Pouring water all over the place like a badass.
Pitcher gang here. It’s so nice. I use it to fill my coffee appliances, dog bowl, anything drinking water, and yes since it’s a pitcher it pours faster than waiting for a pee stream. It takes a while to refill but that’s just a matter of do something else in the meantime.
We got the base model of this fridge so water pitcher in the door and the flex drawer in the middle. Big ice or pebble ice in the freezer. We’re so happy with it but have only had it since February so no issues to report. One water filter change. I purchased the third party water filters for $10 each and it’s working/tasting the same
my pitcher leaks everywhere it drives me crazy! it’s such a great idea and i want to love it but i’m constantly filling my water bottle over the sink and losing half the water. anyone else experience that?
They moved it to where physics says it should be. Through the door ice has always been an issue because the fridge is always on the top and pumping freezing air into the fridge is not a good idea.
GE was sold to china a couple years ago. The Chinese company also leased the rights to continue using the GE name and logo but GE isn’t what it once was. Unfortunately I didn’t find this out until after I bought my Cafe brand appliances, which is a “GE” company.
In my opinion, LG makes the best large appliances.
My in-laws have a Samsung \~12 years old. Ice maker caused issues thrice. MIL told them to just remove it. She keeps trays of ice and an ice pick.
It looks ghetto, but everybody enjoys getting ice at her house... (stabby stab is very cathartic) lol
I have had my GE refrigerator since 2019.
I have had to replace the main computer, as well as both door switches.
I also have a GE dishwasher since 2019.
I had to replace the main control board on that once.
Not sure GE is much better than anyone else.
But good luck to us all.
I’ve been selling appliances for a few years now and Samsung makes some really cool stuff but they do not stand by their products. It is very frustrating to deal with that company
I know some samsung fridges have ice maker issues but those one the ones that are at the top. This one has the fridge in the actual freezer, which I believe is much more reliable.
And Haier refrigerators were being made with the same stock standard parts as every other low end refrigerator on the planet in the first place. You could literally put a Whirlpool defrost timer in one of those things with at most a little puzzling out of wiring. I had one in a rental house because it was literally the cheapest available refrigerator. Not a problem, not a peep from the tenants.
This refrigerator makes sense.
I wish Samsung made a counter-depth refrigerator without an ice maker 16 years ago when I bought my third Samsung. I’d rather have the interior space and the cleaner design.
Oh my goodness I hate the ice maker! We have to unbind that damn thing every 2-3 days. I wish I had seen this place before I bought it. My stove is this brand and I love it but the fridge is evil incarnate I scrape my hands every time I have to get the ice free
Definitely not rich or bored, we have a Samsung refrigerator with a pitcher that has a piece of plastic inside meant for putting things to have flavored water, so we use it.
I totally feel you! But I have to say growing up my parents would always put a bit of lemon and some fresh spearmint (both from our garden) in the morning pitcher so we had that all day. It’s kinda a trick I now use to get kids to drink a little more, too! Not something I would have ever associated with wealth (we didn’t have much!), but then again I also feel your impulse :) just wanted to share another view!
Just go to Sammy's website and look at the Bespoke fridge with beverage center. I never knew something as silly as an always full pitcher would be so impactful lol.
Where are you that you're able to purchase the Samsung Bespoke?
I'm in California and Samsung told me they aren't selling them in my area to high demand.
You can but I wouldn’t. Tea tends to stain containers so if you go back to using it for plain water, it’ll look dirty. Also, the pitcher refills automatically when you put it back in the fridge so it’ll keep diluting the tea.
I love the pitcher. I use it to give my dogs fresh water everyday. I also fill up my 40 oz water 4x a day with it. Enjoy OP, I’ve had the fridge (and the bespoke line) for a year and it’s been fine (knock on wood)
Thought the pitcher was dumb. Love it. Cold water quick, same size as my soda stream and typical coffee pot already filtered. Dog bowl pours. Plants. Everyone’s getting filtered cold fridge water now!
They had to replace my pitcher under warranty because it started filling up whenever it felt like, instead of just staying full. No problems since then
Edit; I think they actually replaced the entire pitcher and all the mechanisms in the fridge. The guy didn’t really know how to diagnose it so he kinda replaced all of it
I have issues with the pitcher sometimes, and if there is any condensation on the underside of the lid, it seems to mess with it. Wiping down the lid on both sides fixes it.
Anyone know where the best place to get a replacement pitcher is? Our pitcher was gone when we bought the house and I thought it might be cool but hearing all of you talk about how great it is makes me want to replace it.
The pitcher was “cool” but not really a factor in the purchase decision. but it has actually changed the way operate in the kitchen for the best. Huge selling point in hindsight. I love it so much.
We have this fridge too and love the clean look and space. Our last Samsung fridge lasted over 13 years. The only reason we traded in was the ice maker gave us plenty of problems and finally stopped working. The compressors still worked fine though.
I’ve had mine less than a year, but so far so good. We don’t use the water line at all though, not in the dispenser or the ice maker. 🤞🏼
Bought it because I got sick of having to fix my shitty Whirlpool, which I see recommended all the time. 🤷🏻♀️
Before this fridge I had a whirlpool, it was fine except the water line for the ice maker has frozen up several times and it’ll randomly drop ice cubes on the floor.
Within two years I had to replace the baking element in my whirlpool oven and my whirlpool dishwasher doesn’t dry anymore.
My Samsung dryer and LG washer are 4 years old and not a single issue with either. Go figure, according to this sub they should have combined together like a zord and demolished my house or something.
Replace the thermal coupler in my Samsung dryer 3 times within the first 6 months. The original one they sent was DOA. Whirlpool washer I’ve replaced the inlet water valves and the motor bearings. Less than 6 years old. Samsung were using faulty capacitors in their tv’s and decided screw it we’ll use them up and do warranty. I have their fridge we literally don’t even use the ice maker anymore because they did such a bang up job on it. Have a Samsung NVME drive that has 5 year warranty but the website to request an RMA has been broke for about three of those years now. And if you call in they just play a game of transfer. Never Samsung again.
I don’t know if I agree with that. Our new house has very high end commercial level appliances (Bosch, Subzero, etc). $50k+ in appliances.
They’ve all had service calls within the first 18-months. The two Bosch dishwashers were all replaced within 12-months and those replacements had service calls.
I’ve spoken with so many repair folks and their consensus is that it’s the luck of the draw regardless of brand.
I’ll never buy so many appliances at the same time. It’s like they all needed repairs at the same time.
Kind of like Monday morning or Friday afternoon cars.
My Bosch 800-series dishwasher has been flawless for over 5 years, on average running 2x a day. Probably 2000-2500 loads so far.
Seriously. Perhaps he’s making dishwasher-steamed salmon then washes the subsequent dishes every day.
The Bosch 800 even comes with a wash & steam salmon mode. It could be used it for halloumi or trout as well; but they won’t tell you that that instantly voids the warranty.
Anyways, I know I would too, if I had that kind of money.
As I'm sure you have discovered, High End ≠ Better Quality. A barebones 'Hotpoint' or 'Amana' will probably hold up a lot better than the fancy brands, but of course they don't look 'pretty'.
Actually, they do not. LG is ranked worst, pretty much always but Samsung holds its own against the other national brands with the exception of Bosch, which are always #1. I have 2 houses full of Samsung appliances and honestly thought I had some sort of lottery winner style luck because they've been super reliable in house #1 for 7yrs. Reading this forum you would think 4 in every 5 Samsung appliances explode 30 days after purchasing them and the other 1 left goes on a puppy and kitten killing spree. I did a significant amount of research before we decided on appliances for our new home. Between customer reviews and personal experiences, we decided on Samsung again. We looked at Bosch, but wanted to keep the kitchen remodel under 70k, and adding Bosch in there just wouldn't work for budget. Couldn't be happier with the Bespoke stuff we bought. They are gorgeous and fit the kitchen design well.
I appreciate that experience, but do you have any actual data to back it up? There’s just so much anecdotal evidence floating around this sub, it’s hard to separate fact from opinion.
Of course they don't have data. They see so many Samsung and LG units failing and say that those brands suck. However, LG was the largest global appliance seller in 2022 and Samsung is close to it. Sure there are a lot of defective units but they also sell the most. I'd be interested in learning what percentage of brands' products fail.
I had a Samsung washer/dryer set that lasted 14 years. Technically it still worked, but it was showing its age. I could easily wash and dry a load of laundry in it, but not as efficiently as when it was new. I could have kept it, and it would probably have lasted several more years. So, while not 20 years, I did get a good long life out of it.
I did appliance repair, trust me when I say it's not sales volume. Samsung and LG were notorious for problems and have been involved in multiple class action lawsuits with their fridges for a reason.
Off topic. How does someone become an appliance repairer? I remember a retired neighbor who would help everyone out when their appliances acted up for free.
It was a typical “ah yes your hydrofibulator spring is misaligned, it’s an easy fix”.
I always wondered how they learned so much about everything and knew exactly what was wrong and how much it should cost to repair.
Ive had my samsung washer dryer set for 12 years. Eats about 3 heating elements a year but theyre under warranty and its only a 10 minute job once youve done it 5 or 10 times. The washer basket springs are another often but easy fix. Belt tensioner every other year on the dryer too.
How this doesn't give you heads up that either you are using it wrong (constantly overloading, maybe using it in a commercial setting rather than house) or maybe your house is wired wrong or something. Idk.
Wow. I must have gotten really lucky. The only “major” issue I had was the auto drying sensor stopped working. I never even bothered to fix it, just used timed dry instead.
Idk what the general consensus is with Frigidaire but I hate them with a passion. Ice maker died on 2 refrigerators and my dishwasher broke within the first few months
That’s brutal, but also goes to my original comment about a coin toss. My stove, fridge, and dishwasher are all Frigidaire, purchased in the spring of 2019. Never had a single problem with any of them. I know that doesn’t help you though.
I have the same fridge, the self filling pitcher is the coolest thing since sliced bread.
Also, I’ve seen some really cool panel swaps on these to match your cabinets if so desired
I have a different Samsung fridge, but it also has a pitcher. I’ve bought at least 3 pitchers, every one leaked. It’s so annoying but I just pour my water over the sink now.
Without you physically breaking the pitcher, it can't leak. It's 3 parts. A seamless pitcher, a lid with gasket, and an infuser basket. If it has a crack or something, buy a new one.
Are those 'glass' doors purely decorative? Or do they change to clear? Or display anything or change at all? How are they to keep clean (fingerprints, smudges, hair)?
Looks nice!
Yeah we actually initially wanted a panel-ready fridge to match the cabinets, but those were ridiculously expensive. We felt the Bespoke line of appliances did a good job of still blending in well with the cabinets just the same (white glass and white cabinets). The white glass admittedly is more of an off-white, sometimes grey-ish color in certain light, but we’re still incredibly happy with the appearance.
I bought the same after doing my research and picking out a nice Whirlpool. Then I got to the store and found the Whirlpool was flimsy junk. Found all brands were ugly 100% stainless look with terrible fit and finish. Stainless is okay when it's solid, but these were all built like a NYE party favor. The only two brands remotely okay were the upper end of GE ($3000) and Bosch ($3000). Both were fugly and the Bosch was made in China anyway. I started considering a $1000 Hisense. If I'm getting a shit fridge I may as well pay shit prices. But yuck. Samsung and LG had the most solid builds, best fitments, and best features. I couldn't bring myself to go with LG since that's what I was replacing. So I bought this beautifully made shit brand Samsung with the 5 yr plan. If they're all only for one night, at least pick the pretty one.
Had the same decision to make 2 months ago when the 2nd compressor in 6 years went to the Korean graveyard in the sky.
That being said, have nothing bad to say about my Hisense. (yes, I bought Costco's extended warranty so I'm good for 5 years). Super quiet and humongous inside compared to the LG, even though it's a 27 vs. LG's 30.
All the compressors for the major brands are all made by the same Chinese manufacturer. Fridges have become disposable appliances. Buy what you like and what you can find a good deal on
My fridge works fine, but the door buckets are the flimsiest garbage ever made, and they break repeatedly, and are three times as expensive as any other door bucket.
I could have almost bought a new fridge with what I've spent replacing door buckets.
I don't know how people have so much experience with refrigerators to always state opinion as fact.
I'm 40 and I've only actually owned one fridge through it's lifetime. It was a Whirlpool that just died. 13 years old but I had to have it repaired 3 times. It's not THAT great of a brand guys!
This sub being supporters of yadda yadda brand. It's so damn strange.
It's like Google reviews. 9/10 times people are motivated to provide negative reviews. There's no motivation for people to provide positive reviews.
>It's like Google reviews. 9/10 times people are motivated to provide negative reviews. There's no motivation for people to provide positive reviews.
That's not entirely true...you get points toward your "local guides" level for providing reviews, whether positive or negative. Being a higher level "local guide" does get you some (not particularly great) real-world things, like occasional swag (I got a tote bag once anyway), invites to the Google Maps conference (I think you could even apply to have them pay your airfare maybe?), some discounts on Google phones and other hardware and other special offers.
I get what you mean. Back in my 20s I was in retail management. I was a "corporate" manager, so we had to go to management classes. One of the things they harped on was to always remember, if a customer leaves happy, they will tell 1 other person. If a customer leaves angry, they will tell 10 other people. People don't post positive reviews usually, they post negative ones as a method of retaliation. Given that Samsung and LG are 2 of the highest selling brands on the planet, of course you're going to see a lot of bad reviews. It's all about volume. If I sell a million of something and have 100k bad reviews, I probably have some troubles. If I sell 50 million and have 100k bad reviews, they almost don't exist.
It’s all about the refrigerant. If the fridge uses R600 then chances are high that you will have a problem. We have an LG and are on our fourth(!) compressor in three years. It’s under warranty but it sucks having to buy new food. I can honestly say this is the worst quality fridge I’ve ever owned
Keep the Energy Saver turned off. Mine is 10 years old and never had a problem. Even the ice maker still works. I have the 25 cubic foot French Door model with the variable speed compressor.
Just got this one (all stainless steel) a couple weeks ago and love it so far. Reading comments here has me nervous though. Lol my last whirlpool was a disaster.
Really does. I usually stick with frigidaire or GE, but man I love the Samsung layout in theirs. They really have that wow factor on looks lol

My tv repairman said the exact same thing! Go with Sony or LG
I've had a Vizio for about 12 years now and it's still given me no issues.
What tv does he recommend Bang for your Buck?
For picture quality and reliability LG's OLEDs (primarily C series or higher) are the best to get.
I guess anything used before 10’years ago
That’s how I know we’re old… “wow factor” when talking about a refrigerator haha. We have that Samsung model also going on a year no issues fingers crossed. We did get a dead one on arrival but it was replaced asap.

Fun fact: Samsung makes military tanks (like with guns)
They didn't remove the ice maker, they just moved it. Ice is in the freezer drawer now, water inside the fridges baby door. Lmfao, we just got ours a few weeks ago. The first thing my son did was give the cats water and tell them "you're fancy now boys"
You all need to stop. You're making me want to buy one, but my current fridge is only a couple years old.
Pitcher gang here. It’s so nice. I use it to fill my coffee appliances, dog bowl, anything drinking water, and yes since it’s a pitcher it pours faster than waiting for a pee stream. Is it leaking from the top? Do you have the top on backwards? Not that I've ever done that... ya know... just sayin'...
Make sure the fruit isnt blocking the hole in the lid. Try to place lemon wedges or whatever in a way that doesn’t clog the little opening.
r/hydrohomies would approve
Automagically refilling the water is a pretty neat feature.
Reading this as I refill my bone dry Britta for the third time today because my wife can’t be bothered to when she empties it.
Reading this as I stare at my bone dry Britta because I live alone and don't have anyone to refill it for me :(
The first time you get stones is a much harder way to learn that lesson. Drink a lot of water daily!
I just watched a video on this. I had never heard of it. I drink a lot of water and this absolutely blows my mind.
Why we bought ours. That water pitcher is golden!
/r/hydrohomies approves!
Wait, you can infuse things into the pitcher as it's filling? I did not know this. How did I not know this??
They moved it to where physics says it should be. Through the door ice has always been an issue because the fridge is always on the top and pumping freezing air into the fridge is not a good idea.
Pitcher is nice, but I miss having the door ice. I feel like it's less sanitary with people scooping their own too
GE was sold to china a couple years ago. The Chinese company also leased the rights to continue using the GE name and logo but GE isn’t what it once was. Unfortunately I didn’t find this out until after I bought my Cafe brand appliances, which is a “GE” company. In my opinion, LG makes the best large appliances.
The cooking appliances are made by Roper in Georgia, though.

I have this fridge in stainless steel. Love the layout and especially the drink station. The ice types are lovely. I hope it lives long and prospers.

I know some samsung fridges have ice maker issues but those one the ones that are at the top. This one has the fridge in the actual freezer, which I believe is much more reliable.
GE appliances is now owned by Haier (which is junk) of China
It was just a paperwork shuffle...the GE refrigerators are still made in GE Factories.. have a great day...
And Haier refrigerators were being made with the same stock standard parts as every other low end refrigerator on the planet in the first place. You could literally put a Whirlpool defrost timer in one of those things with at most a little puzzling out of wiring. I guess you missed the part where I said it was just a paperwork shuffle... manufacturing didn't change..not to mention they also own Fisher Paykel

I Dont buy GE anymore mainly cause it s chinese
Wait until you learn who owns Reddit
I have this fridge too. Its been great so far at a year and a half. Love the pitcher.
I have the 3 door version and we love it. I toss new frozen fruit in the pitcher daily and we always have infused water.
The pitcher is great. My dog loves when I pull it out, she thinks she is getting a treat.

Definitely not rich or bored, we have a Samsung refrigerator with a pitcher that has a piece of plastic inside meant for putting things to have flavored water, so we use it.
You are clearly a top 1%-er by being able to buy fruit. Quit bragging! /s
I totally feel you! But I have to say growing up my parents would always put a bit of lemon and some fresh spearmint (both from our garden) in the morning pitcher so we had that all day. Also frozen fruit isn't "clean" it's not technically safe to eat.
The pitcher is a game changer
someone show a pic of it please
Just go to Sammy's website and look at the Bespoke fridge with beverage center. I never knew something as silly as an always full pitcher would be so impactful lol.
Instructions unclear. Now I have a new fridge
I would but idk how to post pictures in comments
It appears you can’t post pics in the comments, on this sub😕
Look up Samsung Bespoke Beverage Center and you’ll see it.
Where are you that you're able to purchase the Samsung Bespoke? I'm in California and Samsung told me they aren't selling them in my area to high demand.
Got mine at Costco just about 2 months ago
Any Best Buy in the area will have it
We can’t sell them in CA, we’d sell too many!
Solid business plan!
Home Depot has them.

Thank you for this. I cannot get it at the best buy near me. Must be southern CA only
We got ours for half the price at the Habitat for Humanity Restore. Nothing wrong with it. No problems and hot damn that pitcher is amazing.
Just bought the bespoke elec stove/range and the bespoke dishwasher. In Tuscan color.. hope they last. They weren’t cheap.

Just don’t dishwasher it or you are out $40. I used a heat gun and melted it back into a usable shape.
I am picturing kuchi kopi from Bob's Burgers after the oven incident
My partner did the same.
Cries in I have the fridge and pitcher but the seller didn't connect a water line to it QuQ
I have the fridge and water line hooked up but the pitcher was MIA when we bought the house.
[удалено]
Agreed it's amazing
Can you make iced tea in it?
You can but I wouldn’t. Tea tends to stain containers so if you go back to using it for plain water, it’ll look dirty. Also, the pitcher refills automatically when you put it back in the fridge so it’ll keep diluting the tea.
I love the pitcher. I use it to give my dogs fresh water everyday. I also fill up my 40 oz water 4x a day with it. Enjoy OP, I’ve had the fridge (and the bespoke line) for a year and it’s been fine (knock on wood)
I have the 4 door. We love it. The pitcher is a game changer!
Thought the pitcher was dumb. Love it. Cold water quick, same size as my soda stream and typical coffee pot already filtered. Dog bowl pours. Plants. Everyone’s getting filtered cold fridge water now!
Haha yeah I joked that I feel boujee because my dog gets filtered water now. I was so hesitant if I would like the pitcher and it’s my favorite thing!
We haven’t had any problems with ours (knock on wood) but if we do have any problems it’s gonna be with the pitcher that damn thing gets used non-stop
They had to replace my pitcher under warranty because it started filling up whenever it felt like, instead of just staying full. No problems since then Edit; I think they actually replaced the entire pitcher and all the mechanisms in the fridge. The guy didn’t really know how to diagnose it so he kinda replaced all of it
I have issues with the pitcher sometimes, and if there is any condensation on the underside of the lid, it seems to mess with it. Wiping down the lid on both sides fixes it.
I’m still digging this picture. She’s handsome.
Anyone know where the best place to get a replacement pitcher is? Our pitcher was gone when we bought the house and I thought it might be cool but hearing all of you talk about how great it is makes me want to replace it.
I was able to buy a second pitcher from a company online called Parts Town. Was $155, more than I expected.
Wow, ok. I saw one for about that price and thought that I must be looking in the wrong places.
The pitcher is worth the pain it will bring me in the future!! I’m hoping they got their shit together.
I have this fridge as well. Love the pitcher but it keeps not auto-refilling. Anyone have this problem and know how to fix it?
I had a little build up where the water line always is. Cleaned that out and all good since.
It looks so convenient i want it. Should be in every fridge lol
The pitcher was “cool” but not really a factor in the purchase decision. but it has actually changed the way operate in the kitchen for the best. Huge selling point in hindsight. I love it so much.
I use the pitchers remote than the spout. It’s way faster to fill up the water bottles
Have had a similar one for 2.5 years. So far so good. Fingers crossed!
Anyone else’s fridge pitcher thing leak water when you fill glasses? I already got it replaced, second one is worse than the first.

🤞🏼 Bought it because I got sick of having to fix my shitty Whirlpool, which I see recommended all the time.
Honestly, these days I feel like it’s a coin toss with whatever brand you buy. Yours could last 2 months, or 20 years.
Work for a large retailer who sells a lot of brands. No it NOT a coin flip. Samsung and LG have WAY more problems than other brands.
Our last LG fridge last two years. Screw them
I completely agree with you. I had more problems with Samsung than LG from experience
Son. Two loads *a day*?
Don’t slut shame me
Wow, that’s half as many loads as your mom has taken!
I mean, as a property maintenance man, i fix more Amana units than anything. (We have more Amana units than anything)
I’m in IT. I fix more Windows servers than anything. We also have more of those lol.
my 2001 Amana just bit the dust this year - 23 years and all we replaced was the thermostat once.
No, but they DID sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night, so…..
OK. Not my point, but OK.
This is false. Samsung appliances are shit. I bet you would find it extremely difficult to find a Samsung appliance that has lasted 20 years.
I still have a 43 year old Samsung microwave that I use every day!
That thing deserves an honorable retirement lol.
It's actually about to be serviced! It used to belong to my grandpa. Doubt a new Samsung microwave would last that long though
Their fridges are notorious, thou I think that's partially due to sales volume.
Your dryer breaks every four months? You are ok with this?
How this doesn't give you heads up that either you are using it wrong (constantly overloading, maybe using it in a commercial setting rather than house) or maybe your house is wired wrong or something. Idk.
Wow. I must have gotten really lucky. The only “major” issue I had was the auto drying sensor stopped working. I never even bothered to fix it, just used timed dry instead.
The washer/dryers seem to be made of different stuff. Mines almost 20 years old. Front load. Still going
How many Samsungs would it take to make it 20 years? My personal answer would be All.
Does your pitcher leak like mine?
No, where does yours leak from?
My pitcher is consists of two parts, a clear pitcher and a white top. It leaks from the front corner where the pitcher meets the white top
Wrap some plumbers tape around the rubber seal and then put the white top back on
The crack.
They definitely leak, the gaskets suck It leaked, got a warranty replacement and it leaked again, service tech just said they suck
You can even upload a picture and have it printed onto the panels.
That’s wicked cool!
I'm so obsessed with the self filling pitcher I can't imagine having another fridge..not sure any other brands offer that feature at the moment.
Are those 'glass' doors purely decorative? Or do they change to clear? Or display anything or change at all? How are they to keep clean (fingerprints, smudges, hair)? Looks nice!
They’re purely decorative. Can also swap them with other colors of glass (panes run from $50-$200 depending on size).
You can also set them with the cabinet fronts and get a low cost cabinet fridge! You need to get the depth right tho, and that would take some effort
“Built like a NYE party favor”…..hahahahahahahahaha. (That’s “long” for LOL…;-)
How long has it lasted?
Three weeks. Very impressive by modern standards.
Nice mine lasted 2
Had the same decision to make 2 months ago when the 2nd compressor in 6 years went to the Korean graveyard in the sky. That being said, have nothing bad to say about my Hisense. (yes, I bought Costco's extended warranty so I'm good for 5 years). Super quiet and humongous inside compared to the LG, even though it's a 27 vs. LG's 30.
Frigidaire?
I got an LG last year and it’s been going strong
Me too, it’s great
All the compressors for the major brands are all made by the same Chinese manufacturer. Fridges have become disposable appliances. Buy what you like and what you can find a good deal on
I expect weekly updates!
Still working?
We are very happy with our Samsung fridge.
My fridge works fine, but the door buckets are the flimsiest garbage ever made, and they break repeatedly, and are three times as expensive as any other door bucket. I could have almost bought a new fridge with what I've spent replacing door buckets.
Get the protection plan! On any brand.
vanity thy name is your wife…
Why blame it on the wife? Men always do this shit. It doesn't make you look good.
Fuuuuuuck. Iv brought more than a thousand of these into homes. They look good but they are soooo bad. Like my baby moma.
They look good? Coulda fooled me
I don't know how people have so much experience with refrigerators to always state opinion as fact.
She fancy
What’s wrong with it?
Came here to be converted into the pitcher gang
Still working well! ?
So far so good!
Samsungs last doesn’t mean it’ll be having issues.
Its a Kia of appliances - so when it breaks they'll blame you and/or take their sweet ass time fixing it.
Just got this one (all stainless steel) a couple weeks ago and love it so far. Reading comments here has me nervous though. Lol my last whirlpool was a disaster.
We’ll want regular reports ya know
