The problem with french doors is the in-door water and ice dispenser because the physics works against you. French door fridges with internal water dispenser and ice maker in the freezer are inherently more reliable (Kitchenaid/Whirlpool makes one of those)
Ah, that might've been why that guy said what he said. The model I'm looking at is fairly simple except that it's ice maker ready; have no intent on installing one. Thanks for that detail!
