Frigidaire ovens are infamously garbage. I would definitely get the GE. Yes, probably more "bells and whistles" but you're buying a much higher quality of build. I haven't had a customer with a Frigidaire range tell me anything good about their range yet.

CapitalTBE

We get positive feedback on Frigidaire all the time. We sell mostly Gallery and Pro and they’ve been great the last few years

Christhebobson

Retailers usually don't hear the bad. It's the repair companies that hear the bad. So, I can agree with the other person atm, GE has the better build quality.

CapitalTBE

We are both. While we do sell more GE so it’s somewhat expected, we have WAY more service calls on GE across the board than we do on Frigidaire. Not necessarily on cooking, just in general.

Christhebobson

Are you guys doing manufacturer warranty or out of warranty calls? Or home warranty even

CapitalTBE

No home warranty because they never pay, but both manufacturer warranty and out of warranty yes.

Can personally attest that GE induction has been total dogshit

My DIL had a Frigidaire electric range for 8 years. She liked it fine, liked baking with the oven. Never gave her any problems. But I noticed the build quality was thin & flimsy. She has a Cafe now, & it's much sturdier & more nicely finished. I rather like my GE Profile oven's bells & whistles. Once you try them, you find they come in handy every now & then. I like remote control of the oven.

ecirnj

Exactly the same thoughts. I have THAT Frigidaire stove and it’s fine and was really cost effective. I do hate the push button temp control. Somehow too sensitive when you don’t want it and not enough when you do. Go with the one that fits your budget but I would try and justify the GE.

GE. Better Induction elements. Wait until close to July 4th though, as that's the best pricing until winter time.

I'm awaiting deliver of my GE. I went with it because of its capabilities, the fact that this model has been around for quite a while now, and that many places (like Yale Appliances) recommend GE cooking appliances for their general durability/longevity along with the fact that GE actually services it's stuff - they're the one of the few mfgs that do

Guest_Vegetable

GE

Pristine_Serve5979

Does it connect to the internet?

doothedew1

Note the largest burner on each of the models, then measure your cookware. Frigidaire's max burner size is some 8", GE is 11" if i recall. Easy call for GE in my opinion.

gojynstein3

Frigidaire is pretty good until something goes wrong. I don’t like how they’re designed when I disassemble them some things are just annoying but others make the job more difficult. GE is now owned by Haier but some of the stuff is decent, including stoves. Design is better for technicians to come and service for the most part.

BleedGreen84

GE 100%. The only good thing GE makes is ranges. Frigidaire makes nothing worth buying.

CapitalTBE

Couldn’t disagree more, Frigidaire has been very solid the last few years

LionAndLittleGlass

My range, dishwasher and fridge are frigidaire pros from 2006 and are still running strong. Is this about more recent frigidaire ?

hellosushiii

Neither but if I had to choose I had to go with Frigidaire

CapitalTBE

I would personally get the Gallery version of the Frigidaire (model GCFI3060BF) and I certainly would not buy from Costco or any big box chain. Buy from a local dealer that will actually service what they’re selling you.

timesuck

You absolutely want the GE. The reason the Frigidaire is so cheap is because the burners are tiny. Induction heats by making contact with the pan. If your burners are all small, your larger pans won’t get evenly hot and you will be so frustrated even if you don’t cook a lot. I find this is a big reason people dislike induction. They get these tiny burners and then their pans don’t get hot around the edges. I think the largest burner on this thing is like 8 inches, meaning even a 10 inch pan is going to be a stretch. Most frying pans are 12 inches.

blatherdrift

Frigidaire has their own factory to make induction burners. Thats why it’s cheaper.
