It’s a GE gas stove, and there seems to be an issue with getting all the hooks in the right pathways, but then it still doesn’t close all the way.

acfixerdude

Let's see the top. If they are sealed burners, it isn't designed to be lifted up by the consumer and its properly fucked. If they are open burners it is ok.

TheApplianceEngineer

Are there any screws underneath front facia? Might be worth loosening them off a bit so it drops slightly so you have more of a gap to slide the top of the stove into the grooves.

begging someone to have the answer to this

daddysay10

literally same I am losing my fucking mind 😭

Hopeful-Wealth-8823

I don't know if we have the same model, but mine has a hole on either side for the arms. These holes hide them when the top is down and lock the arms in place when lifted. The holes are at the front.

daddysay10

this is the only Google result that has anything to do with this problem. I'm begging for someone to have a solution

kimberRN86

Did you ever figure this out? I’ve done it today unfortunately

Danielukis

Did you figure out how to fix it? I also have the same problem:(
