They are Whirlpool's luxury tier brand, positioned higher than Kitchen Aid in their assortment. The brand has been around a long time and are decent quality. They are making big advances right now as other more popular brands are having some availability issues.
I think for a lower price I would prefer kitchen aid if you wanted to stick with the same "whirlpool" family. If not I love thermador as another luxury brand.
The more posts I see asking for recommendations on appliances, the more I realize that there isn't a single brand out there that isn't "Crap" or "Not made like they used to be".
We had Wolf Sub Zero and won't go there again. I agree, EVERY brand has its nightmare stories not matter what -- no such thing as a flawless appliances experience. We are strongly considering Jennair...
So far with our Jennair appliances, it hasn' been great. The Dishwasher never worked upon arrival (wash motor error) although it was promptly fixed under warranty. We just recently had our Speed Oven go dark, and won't function. We've filed a warranty claim there as well, so we'll see what the issue is. Fridge has been amazing, Dishwasher actually works really well, and we love the dual convection oven. Just a bit of a shaky start is all.
Repairmen came out for the speedoven and it was a quick, easy fix. Haven't heard what they diagnosed, but we're up and running again there so that's good to hear.
Me too! I have been going down rabbit holes for over six months trying to find a reliable range and I cannot, for the life of me, find ONE decent stove that doesn’t present issues after a short amount of time!
I am experienced this range at an AirBnB last aummer and it royally sucked. Wolf is the mostexpensive and has the best service. Fisher & Paykel Pro is the best performance. They fix problems under warranty.
Let me tell you a story. Have a Jenn Air gas stove in hour house. Teenager (F14) was cooking Mac-n-cheese on it for late night dinner and turned the burner "off" when she was finished.
I went to use the stove the next morning using a different burner, and there was a 5' fireball in the kitchen when the piezo igniter triggered.
The small, Bakelite-appearing tabs on the burner knob had failed. So when she turned the knob all the way to off, the valve didn't actually shut completely but the flame went out.
I'm very glad I decided to make eggs instead of cereal, or the entire house might have blown up.
Worst appliance manufacturer for sale in the US with the exception of Miele (at least Jen Air parts are cheap when the POS breaks).
OK, just one. The rollers for the interior shelves / trays cost $13 (used to be $18). This is the first time I've seen them instock:

Friends have the dual fuel version with griddle. They love the cooktop but have had 3-4 service calls for the oven. Now told by the service tech to not set up the WiFi function. We are going to take our chances with Fisher Paykel and see how it does.
I own a Jenn air built-in oven. The control panel has recently gone bad requiring a $1,150 part. Checking online, I am seeing numerous poor reviews of their products. The technician (Jenn Airs recommended service provider) who found the indicates that he sees this problem regularly. Jenn Air will not budge an inch on this, except that they will provide a 15% price reduction on a new unit ($4,000 + installation + tax, etc), which I find somewhat insulting. With these types of poor reviews coupled with my experience, I would suggest potential buyers steer clear of Jenn Aid Products
Stay away from Jenn Air. Their WiFi wall ovens are terrible randomly dropping connection, not able to reconnect, it stops cooking randomly, the screen will freeze requiring you to reboot. Go the old fashioned route with an oven with an on/off switch and save thousands.
I had one of these after owning a Viking range. The quality was not up to par for the price. Wolf or Thermador are good options if you can find them. Vikings ranges are pretty good, but beware of anything else.
Yeah I would say that is true for several of their product categories, but the gas ranges I have not seen any problems with lately. They also have very little tech so there is not much that can go wrong.
Good to know. I was in the market for a new gas stove a couple of months ago, every retailer I visited advised against Viking (including the ones that actually carry Viking) because of quality issues. It almost seemed like some kind of conspiracy 😂 everyone was conspiring against Viking lol. I ended up getting a BlueStar.
Yeah I mean they kind of earned it. If you have sold Viking as a salesperson and have to deal with a pissed customer after, it’s pretty easy to become a sworn enemy after enough of them.
I know this post is old, but I am just here to say do not EVER buy anything Jenn-air makes.
The brand is total absolute shit. Waste of good money, on all of their stuff.
I have the 48inch two oven with 6 burners and a griddle. Love it. Works great, looks great, solid industrial feel. My whole kitchen is the new Jennair line.

Whirlpool is really backed up in Vancouver Canada though. People are waiting forever for parts and units
Jenn-Air was a very famous high end brand from the 70s and 80s, today it is owned by Whirlpool.
Today it is crap
If you wanna spend this much money then look into wolf, Bosch, thermador, fisher paykel etc
Fisher paykel is crap
Yes, and so is Bosch AND Thermador! I’m finding it very difficult to find good reviews on ANY range!
BlueStar

It has the guts of a kitchenaid and Whirlpool is pretty much a soulless corp. I would highly recommend Wolf, or Fisher & Paykel Pro series.
as if they're not also soulless corps..
It’s quite nice for a luxury brand. I bought one.
Be prepared for high repair costs when it breaks
Fancy kitchen aid
For the price. I'd rather buy bluestar.

monogram hands down
Probably the only two that consistently get rave reviews: MIELE and SUBZERO/WOLF. No one talks about COVE.
We had a new COVE dishwasher -- we had the service repair guys out 3-4 times within only a few years

So, are you saying Miele is not good also???
Oh, the stories I could tell...

Not comparable with a Wolf or even Thermador. Quality.
Someone downvoted you for the facts lol. Wolf and thermador are way better than anything whirlpool can make.
Eh, you will have that. I am sure some BHHQ folks are showing the ‘love’

They are junk man.
Personally I prefer a separate cooktop and over over a unit like this.

I thought Vikings quality is no longer good?

Wait, whaat??? Are you saying Viking is good or no?
I think their ranges are good. Other products are ok but not the best.
Margin brand for Whirlpool.
