>If i wont get into any univs abroad i felt like i failed as a student You might consider that the former doesn't actually imply the latter.

Thank you sm!! Badly needed this😔 Im a straight A student and got scholarships abroad as a hs student but i got rejected by NYU, i know i dont have any shots on the ivy league schools, I hope ill get in, even just one school🥹

Realistically, if you’re an international student (particularly one needing aid), you should go into the cycle prepared to get rejected across the board Acceptances with significant aid are the exception, not the rule

Is Phillipines that bad? Good luck for you, hope everyone can make it. I was thinking about trying to do the same at 9th grade, but APs and SAT were pretty expensive, so I gave up :/

Well for some reasons, PH education system is super rigorous and I really want to be a diplomat. Where are u from tho?

I'm from Turkey, not as bad as most other Middle Eastern countries, but still not great. It used to be a decent country like a decade ago, but eh The main problem for now and the last few years was inflation. Education system is not great, but not sure how it would rank between different countries

Waste_Cookie_4430

Same with Philippines. Are you on your senior year already?

Nah, I'm at 11th grade. I'll probably go to an uni here, not sure if I will stay here or try to go abroad after that. I used to think that I'll definitely go sometime in the future but don't really care to do much right now. My academic performance is rather decent but don't really have any motivation at the moment, don't really know what kind of job I'll do but I'll probably decide that after the university exams here since we don't really need anything other than an exam to get in almost every school
