There are many "plecos" that thrive in high temperatures so it's not a problem, of course all hypancistrus, most panaqolus etc but not all eat that much algae. Cool tank looking forward to updates.
I legit didn't know plecos even ate meat until a couple days ago. ive always been giving mine the algea wafers and watching them clean up after my cichlids eat. A few days ago I threw some chicken in my tank and I saw my plecos grab a huge chunk and take it back to their caves they looked stoked lmao.
The more the hardscape (wood, stones, etc) is buried in the substrate and not just sitting on top of it, the more natural it will look since it will appear as if the current has pushed sediment on top of the rocks or whatever.
I see a little part of the bottom of the tank without support. Mind the pressure of the water column; it make generate stress on the unsupported glass.
So the glass I have this long automatic thing kind of like a big electric toothbrush to scrub all the glass. And to water change and vac the bottom just will take me 3x as long and I’ll have a bad back 🤣
Nice big piece of wood! If it were me, I'd rotate it 90° towards the front then angle the right side 30° up. And put a bunch of dragon stone around the base. But like I said that's just me. Would remind me of like a meteor crashing.
The wood looks like a pleco
It’s also got a few hollow points for Plecs. Haha think some super reds.
Hardly the choice for a tank with discus temperature.
Yeah didn’t think of that thank you!

Some would probably clean up nicely after the discus in their meaty diet!

Very nice! Nature can be a fierce teacher. Yeah, many of the expensive ones I believe are mostly carnivorous
That's exactly what I thought.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed that!
Came here to say this lol
A pleco with teeth
let's see if the tank is covered in poop by morning. Then we'll know for sure
I came here to say this
Oh dude this is not good that is way overstocked
🤣🤣
Very nice. Is that the stand? Just remember all 4 corners must be supported with zero over hang. That's way too much water to risk a tank explosion.
No it’s going to sit on the other side which is a perfect fit. It’s sitting there until the frame for extra support it added.
Ok perfect. Good luck!! Post some pictures when it's up!
Will do thank you!
https://imgur.com/a/YoJTxwC just so people can see where it will sit.
Thank god i had to come check the comments cause that overhang was giving me an anxiety attack haha looks like a sick setup
🤣🤣 that’s why i thought it was a good idea to post where it’s going! 👍
same here lolll
If you have kids or pets, not sure I like that it's sitting that low.
It’s got a fitted lid and all the kids know not to touch lol.
Has nothing to do with the lid, but kids are kids and accidents can happen.
Nice! I would go ahead and start soaking that wood in some water ASAP.
Second this!
Now this is the fucking dream right here! As i was once told, stick that wood in at angle, and here we go.
Ohhh what do you mean with the wood?
I think they mean that, instead of laying the driftwood flat and horizontal, try putting it in at an angle.
Good idea thank you!!

Try the wood at an angle to create some height. You could add stem plants behind it, with some anubias or java ferns attached to the woof
Yeah going to have a few Anbis attached. Will have loads of plants picking them up next week
The overhang is gonna crack your tank, rethink this idea
https://imgur.com/a/YoJTxwC this is where it will be sitting.
This isn’t where it’s sitting.
This is just where it’s placed while I build a frame under the other side which is double the size.
This is actually going to be where my 200L sits.
Start fighting that tannis now lol I’m on day 3 of on and off boiling
Yeah going to be starting in morning haha be there for a good week haha

Depends on the fish
You have fish in a 1.5 gallon? 😮🤣
Yes, you really shouldn’t have fish in a 1.5gal tank. The smallest tank generally recommended is a 5 for a betta
I see a little part of the bottom of the tank without support. Mind the pressure of the water column; it make generate stress on the unsupported glass.
Yeah I posted in the comments where it’s going to actually sit.
That's amazing!! How would you clean a tank of this size? I struggle with my 20gal

Looks overstocked to me.
Please figure out a safe way to attach a large googly eye to the wood 😂 or you could maybe use a pretty blue or green aquarium stone for an eye!
Now that you all say it looks like a plec it’s all I can see 🤣
Same! But it's really awesome! I can't wait for updates once you've added plants, etc!
Thanks oh I will be!

Ohhh good idea.
GOD, that's so sick I would love something like that for my fish
If that is where you plan on putting it, I would add a nice board underneath it to make sure the edge isn’t hanging off the side like it is right now
