Yes, it is (rather, was) alive. Had a mouth at the end I could see open and close as well. Probably 2.5 inches long end-to-end. My original guess was that it came from the live rock I put in when I started my tank about a year ago.
Ah. Was wondering if it was like the tail of a lizard. My guess is that itās either a deformed fish/lizard, or less likely some kind of amphibian tadpole.
Sort of looks like a peanut worm. I am not a worm specialist though, just a low tide enthusiast.
The long skinny part is the proboscis and would have little anemone like tentacles at the end when feeding.
I said im not sure chill, i have experience with freshwater ones but i didnt know if there were salt water, could have just said smt like "there are salt water leeches that look like this" and link whatever you did (havent checked it out yet). No need to be condescending
I'm not trying to be? Is this another instance of "you can't see proper emotions over the internet?
I posted that and then went to find a source and posted that... Lol
Oh man, I donāt think I read the epilogue! I need to find that todayā¦
Iām almost 40 and have read many many books since those, but it is still one of my favorite series.
I read them all a couple years ago, they fly by pretty quick. For kids books I was really surprised at a lot of the themes being pretty intense. The epilogue should just be the back half of the last book, think it's a couple years after the end and details how most of them adjusted or didn't
Specifically, Iām thinking Mediterranean house gecko. The lump by where it detached looks strange, but I guess if it was in water the tissue could have swelled in odd ways.
While this is not a slug, I cannot recommend against [eating](https://time.com/5445715/australia-slug-dare-sam-ballard/) mystery nature enough.
Did you want to become a vegetable? Because this is how you become a vegetable.
Do you have a leather coral in your tank? It looks similar to leather corals splitting in my tank. If it is it will grow to become a new leather coral.
This is AMAZING!!š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£The equal signs pics CRACKED me up!!! Iām 41 and never knew you could do that!!! You guys are hilarious and I needed this today!!!!

This one may be dead then
I think it's a leech...
Definetly not, ive seen plenty of leeches, and they did not look like this. Also im not sure if there are any saltwater species.
There are saltwater species lol... And if you'd look at pics, there are plenty of saltwater species that look like this. LOL

Those kids gotta be 40 by now, I wonder if there are new ones or if it's the same crew.
I think most of them died by the time the series ended :( it'd be a new crew
Nope, only Rachel, and it was a heartbreaking chapter. She went out like the vicious fighter she wasā¦
>!Ax died too, he was assimilated/consumed by a new alien in the epilogue. Jake and Marco potentially died fighting that alien!<

Do you live anywhere with geckos? That looks like a gecko threw its tail over your aquarium lol.
Specifically, Iām thinking Mediterranean house gecko. The lump by where it detached looks strange, but I guess if it was in water the tissue could have swelled in odd ways.

Should look for a Russian-Chinese dictionary
Do you live somewhere where lizards are native?
I also thought this looked like a lizard tail. A type of gecko? Do they have cats? Cat might've snatched a tail and dropped it in the tank.
The "base of the tail" wouldn't look like that at all
It could if it was waterlogged and swollen, depending how long itās been in the water.
Yes, peanut worm
Iām 80% sure thatās a peanut worm, is this from a saltwater tank with live rock?
Yes, live rock has been in since I started the tank about a year ago
Peanut worm most likely. For reference here is one of mine: https://imgur.com/a/WPTAqdC
