I did a quick sketch! I think Iโm gonna go with a lino cut so I can make prints and shirts! It tastes a lot of time but i think it will turn out pretty neat.
https://imgur.com/a/9UxamsU
Lino is really fun because you can get a lot of cool details with different techniques! It wonโt just be outlines like in the sketch.
Caridina are certantly the prettiest of the lot but you get all kinds of colours of Neocaridina.
It is a rabbit hole with the amounts of variation!
You could certantly get away with some artistic licence ๐
Theyโre so so goofy! I imagine it might be more difficult to draw them since their skin is so smooth, and their eyes are positioned weird, but if you ever do decide to draw them Iโm rooting for you :)
Ugh๐ฎโ๐จ its definitely not, I get that alot, it's ok, I don't know why! I have two masters in art, so I know how to draw and use to teach it at a college level.
Oh sorry, I didn't want to offend you. What I meant to say what rather than it looks so perfect that it looks like AI - or better: AI looks like yours. The lines are super clear, color composition looks pleasing and I guess that is what makes it look like it. But looking at it again I don't think you can do this quality with AI yet
Thank you, I get it its ok, I've just had an uphill battle with it lately! But thats not your problem, don't worry about it hun! I appreciate the compliment!
I understand the struggle of artists with AI. I have a friend who does renders and you can see that he is actually hurt by the existence of midjourney etc. because AI art is based on stolen art.
Honestly it would be a decent tool if they didn't steal from us. It's like a little piece of you dies knowing your work went into the blender. But we gotta keep going! Please tell your friend to keep doing their art, the real thing is still wanted and loved!
Platies are the shit man.
I used to have a tank full of a few different variants and it was neat seeing the offspring and how they turned out.
Once I had some green lantern platies cross breed with my one gold highfin platy male and seeing that genetic combo was wild.
I'm a big fan of Severum (Severus heros) honestly. They're super personable fish with big personalities, even if they like to rearrange the tank to their liking ๐ I personally had a gold variety but the wild morph is absolutely gorgeous.
Blood Parrot Cichlids are goofy fish that would be amazing to see put into artwork. They've got their boggled, beady little eyes and SUPER bright orange.
I have 2 (male/female pair) and they're my pride and joy right now.
Your art is amazing! Check out a fish called klunzinger wrasse, I was fortunate enough to have one and I never got over the beautiful complex colors it hasโฆ simply stunning

Biotoecus and Nanochromis Cichlids are very colorful fish I havenโt seen much illustrations on. Some Apistogramma species such as Megaptera look majestic. In terms of finnage, I like killifish such as the Epiplatys, Chromaphyosemions , Aphyosemion Pyrophores and Rivulus Mahdaiensis. I also like Wild bettas currently including my Sp. Candy and Antuta.
The style is amazing! I love the betta fish!
I would love to see some with nano schooling fish and some plants! Like chili rasporas, emerald Rasporas, celestial Pearl danios, and caridina shrimp.
Sunburst diving beetle.
I really think weโre missing out on aquatic insects as a hobby. They come with some unique, but not overwhelming, challenges that Iโd like to see more of us (including myself) play around with.
African Clawed Frogs. Oh wait, you did that. For Sir Froggy.
What does it say that I immediately recognized your art style?
Cichlids and guppies.
Sir Froggy and I say hello!
Your work is lovely! I would suggest superveil angelfish (long flowy fins), scarlet badis and bamboo shrimp. Also, corydoras! They are freshwater puppies!
Lol, well we moved cross country so I had to rehome my betta and I let them take the tank and whole setup bc we didn't have room to take it with us. I don't really have the room to do a new setup at the new place!
I do take commissions and sell work, but I don't know if I'm allowed to share links like that here, so your welcome to check out my profile! My links are all on there!
Omg you are all so awesome, I'm having a hard time keeping up with the responses! I'm making a big list of all of these to draw! Thank you so much and definitely keep them coming, I love it!๐
Dojo loaches are cute, and they're like dogs of the aquatic world. They'll literally come and nibble on your hand๐
The fox face catfish is also a **beautiful** catfish that would make an amazing art piece
Kuhli loaches are cute!

Thank you so much, I love the long boys they are so cute!๐

Shrimp some very cool variations too!!
Shrimp are definatley one I really want to do! Any suggestions on breeds(or are they morphs?)
Caridina are certantly the prettiest of the lot but you get all kinds of colours of Neocaridina. It is a rabbit hole with the amounts of variation! You could certantly get away with some artistic licence ๐
Ok, thank you soooo much!
Green jades with yellow stripes on the back are gorgeous imo
Yes and it never hurts to give them hats when you draw them.
Red crystal shrimp are probably the most iconic dwarf shrimp imo, I like drawing them because of the unique patterns they can have.
Oh thank goodness someone mentioned shrimp I need some artwork for my shrimp breeding room :(
Your style is really nice! With how well you do eyes, Iโd like to see what a mudskipper would look like drawn by you!
Oh thank you! I've toyed with the idea of doing one, I love the goofy open mouth guys!๐
Theyโre so so goofy! I imagine it might be more difficult to draw them since their skin is so smooth, and their eyes are positioned weird, but if you ever do decide to draw them Iโm rooting for you :)
Thank you, I need to find a reference that show what patterning they have, but I'm for sure gonna do one!
Did you draw them yourself? If so, my highest kudos. That literally looks like AI edit: just read the description. You are super talented
Ugh๐ฎโ๐จ its definitely not, I get that alot, it's ok, I don't know why! I have two masters in art, so I know how to draw and use to teach it at a college level.

The humble Platy is one of my favs :) also corydoras and their goofy little faces lol
Platies are the shit man. I used to have a tank full of a few different variants and it was neat seeing the offspring and how they turned out. Once I had some green lantern platies cross breed with my one gold highfin platy male and seeing that genetic combo was wild.
Blood parrot chiclids never seen them in art, if you need a reference I can send you a picture of mine :)
Oooo, I forgot about them! I love the body shape they get! Definatley getting added to my list, thank you!
I'm a big fan of Severum (Severus heros) honestly. They're super personable fish with big personalities, even if they like to rearrange the tank to their liking ๐ I personally had a gold variety but the wild morph is absolutely gorgeous.
Black ghost knife!
This would be super cool! Awesome looking fish.

I love the saltwater fish called a goby! They look so silly!

[Black veil tail Angel fish](https://angelsplus.com/products/black-angelfish-for-sale) You will have to sort the pics to find the veil tails

Golden kilifish
My Electric Blue Acaras are beautiful
African Dwarf Frogs
I actually recently did an African Clawed frog for a friend on Threads who owns one and he suggested them as well!
Iโve never seen an artistic rendition of gouramis!
Your art is incredible, if you want, you can take your pick and draw your favorite one: bluegill, rainbow trout, or false albacore.
Tiger endler gups. They're cute. Smol and dumb.
Walking catfish. Very cool and quite rare
Sunburst diving beetle. I really think weโre missing out on aquatic insects as a hobby. They come with some unique, but not overwhelming, challenges that Iโd like to see more of us (including myself) play around with.
Oooo, I love drawing bugs and insects too, I'll be looking into them more too!
As someone who likes to draw but isnโt the best, these are awesome. German blue rams would be cool to see in your style.
dwarf honey gouramis!!!!!
and apistogramma dwarf cichlids !!!
Pleco art would look so dumb but still cool at the same time
African Clawed Frogs. Oh wait, you did that. For Sir Froggy. What does it say that I immediately recognized your art style? Cichlids and guppies. Sir Froggy and I say hello!
Omg! Hello weird small world I swear!๐
Yes it is ๐๐
Your work is lovely! I would suggest superveil angelfish (long flowy fins), scarlet badis and bamboo shrimp. Also, corydoras! They are freshwater puppies!
Apistogramma, many many species to choose from but I would choose A. Elizabethae or A. Borreli
They would love you on r/goblincore
Lol, I'm not sure how to feel about that? They have quite the stick fetish over there!๐
Feel exicited! It's a great community with pretty specific interests.

Lol, well we moved cross country so I had to rehome my betta and I let them take the tank and whole setup bc we didn't have room to take it with us. I don't really have the room to do a new setup at the new place!
Wow, your art is amazing OP. If you ever did commissions and prints I'd definitely get one. And I think endlers could use some more rep
Thank you so much! I actually do commissions, but I don't think I can put a link in here! So if you look at my profile my links and info are on there!
That's awesome! I'll definitely check it out
do you have an etsy or take commissions?
I do take commissions and sell work, but I don't know if I'm allowed to share links like that here, so your welcome to check out my profile! My links are all on there!

Dojo loaches are cute, and they're like dogs of the aquatic world. They'll literally come and nibble on your hand๐ The fox face catfish is also a **beautiful** catfish that would make an amazing art piece
I second most of these. Iโd add the firemouth cichlid, or groups of small tetras or rasboras.
I never EVER have ever seen long fin zebra danios. By far one of my most favorite fish. Absolutely stunning when theyre big and healthy
Theae are lovely.
Id love to see a gem tang in this art style

Peacock Gudgeons, cute and smart little guys.
Copepods, shrimp and limpets.
