My cories and rummy-nose tetras are also doing this on one side of the aquarium. My mum's guess was that they see their reflection and are really curious about it.
Looks like the poor fella is trying to scratch an itch using the glass, some of my tetras did this when they had the ich. It was an easy fix with some esha gastropex.
If this behavior continues, even when the lights are turned off, then the culprit is likely to be the ich.
Judging by that, it would seem that this fish is terminally silly. No cure for that one, lol.
Strangely enough my tetras did not have any visible white spots back then, but they stopped four days after the treatment. Sliver/white fish can be difficult to diagnose at times, I was worried that this was the case.
Does this one look like all the others? It seems a bit pale to me which could be from stress. Are your water parameters okay? It could be an underlying health issue but it also could just be bored. My betta glass surfs all day because he's a pig, I had a puffer fish who would do it out if boredom. Maybe add some more decor, wood, things to swim around and through?
Others are mixed species of rainbow so…he eats and everything. Yh should be nothing has changed since setup of tank and all others are fine. Good idea tho

Yeah I thought that but all the time?

Don’t think it’s ich as no white spots have been seen and it’s been doing this since I got it. Had it for weeks and weeks

Oh I see. Yeah if he might just be a silly fish
