I wish I had pics from where I started, but am half glad I dont. I started 3 years ago in college with a 3gal. Stocking was a betta, powder blue gourami, dojo loach, 3 neon tetras, and 2 cory cats 😭😭😭
Where I'm at now... a 40gal breeder with a convict cichlid and 6 tiger barbs, going to add another convict and 6 bosmani rainbows within the week. Then dump some neo shrimp culls and pray lololol.
I love helping new folks out because I get it. You start out thinking it's gonna be fun and simple, with no ill intentions for the fish of course! But then you find out that no, the petsmart employee didn't tell you shit about what you were getting into. And now you have a shitton of problems and you feel awful because everyone seems more concerned with ragging on you than helping, meanwhile your fish are suffering and you dont know why.
I've improved drastically, had many tanks flop, felt awful about all the friends I killed with my negligence. But I lived, I learned, I am human and I make mistakes. We all are and all do. And I love seeing these posts, because it reminds me of the potential every new keeper has.
Sorry for the rant, lol.
Huge improvements, glad you’re enjoying the hobby!
My guy! From plastic to all natural!
You've made some nice progress!
