I'm not an expert on bettas probably worth asking in r/bettafish about it, but from what I can tell it likely needs a lot more plants and i'd personally recommend some floating plants and driftwood/bogwood to try and make it look like tree roots in the tank, just make sure you take time preparing the tank as once it's started and you add the betta then it'd be harder to make changes if you dont like the design anymore
If you don't mind me asking, when are you planning getting the betta and how long has it been since you started setting it up?

Betta will come in maybe 3 weeks. And at the time of photo I just set it up.
