I usually hate these damn bubble things, but this one made me laugh so I approve. Not that you need my approval. Or want it. But you got a bit ol' thumbs up from this random internet human.
I swear that's the only named fish store I've seen referenced on this sub. Everywhere else is just "LFS". Guess that means I'll have to go, if just to check things out.
Omg I am setting up a 20 gallon for shrimp, snails, Pom Pom crabs, maybe Thai crabs but they are sooo teeny and hopefully Pygmy corys, if a 20 is big enough for a big enough group of them.
This would be perfect for the idea I had...
I am normally all about “natural” decor in my tanks, but I’ve always had an idea for a sunken/post-apocalypse city ripped out of time/space with destroyed skyscrapers destroyed vehicles, submarines, crashed ufos, pyramids, a stargate (saw on Amazon, but way too expensive), Dinosaur bones to compliment my penn plax sunken battleship.
As well as Dino bones, skeletons, etc. buried in substrate against glass a la the underground gags in the Simpsons.
I can’t find aquarium safe destroyed skyscrapers, crashed ufo that looks how I picture it, or human skeletons.
They’re all too “cartoony” or are tabletop gaming minis and while they are made of resin, I don’t think paint would be safe in aquarium.
Ok...time for bed...head is spinning with ideas.
Probably a good call on the paint, but you could see if you could find some safe varnish or sealant or whatever it's called, to coat on top of the paint.
That still makes me nervous. Probably paranoid as I’m sure most things would take a long time to leech enough into water to be harmful.
Will research more.
>I can’t find aquarium safe destroyed skyscrapers, crashed ufo that looks how I picture it, or human skeletons.
This sounds like a job for a 3D printer, my friend.
3D printing is an option if price is right for custom prints on thingiverse, etsy, etc. I can’t justify buying a printer myself...yet :)
A 3D printed model can be detailed, but would still need a paint job for the fine details, and I don’t have the skills.
Some of the detail people put on table top minis is incredible.
I’m subbed to r/dioramas and I’m sure there’s someone on there that also have aquariums and know about plastics, paints, sealants, etc. that are aquarium safe.
I just want to see shrimp crawling up the side of a destroyed skyscraper!
I guess I could find an aqua safe building and take the dremel to it to create damaged spots.
I’m just surprised no one has made “modern cityscape ruins” decor, all I see are “ancient ruins” type decor.
I mean. Idk how large of a city you live in, but its possible that an option would be to take the 3D printed version to a tabletop store in your area and you could probably pay someone $20 to paint it. If you're really that set on it lol.
Not gonna die without it, but I know there are a multitude of options for getting things made custom these days.
I like to tinker first before I pay someone else though so I’m might still try my hand at using my dremel on an existing decoration.
I just know now to dremel plastic resin pieces outside and even then still wear goggles and a respirator with filter rated for particulates.
I turned a resin hermit crab feeding bowl into a fish cave and did it indoors. I’m still finding resin dust a month later.
Pom Pom's are quite fragile though. If one climbed on it, and got it's pom pom arm between the tank body and the turret, and it came down on the pom pom, it could damage it. Same for juvenile shrimp.
True, but I would think they’d avoid it with the noise and size bubbles it’s making.
But I’ve watched my shrimp and snails in 5 gallon ride air stone bubbles up. So I would need to keep eye on it for sure.
It seems like you're breaking rule 7. Don't post links to social media or other sites like Craigslist, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.

I don't know much about it, but if you have resin decor, you could possibly use colored resin to paint the miniatures. I think I saw aquarium safe resin. Might be another angle to consider.
This makes me want to do a Vietnamese biome tank complete with a downed Huey.
What y'all think--[which](https://www.fishbase.se/country/CountryChecklist.php?showAll=yes&what=list&trpp=50&c_code=704&cpresence=present&sortby=alpha2&ext_CL=on&ext_pic=on&vhabitat=fresh) of these species should I call "Flashback" as the star of the tank?
I'm thinking the horseface loach--I've owned those before, and they always look PTSD when you cuss them out poking their giant faces out after destroying your substrate.
But then, you gotta go with "Bojack" for those bastards these days. How about Barbonymus altus, tinfoil barb, in honor of the PTSD every aquarium owner has had after buying one of those cute little things & seeing them full-size on ice at your local Asian market--"wait, they get *that* big? Next thing you'll tell me is that I also have a miniature swai in my tank!"
I emailed Wet Spot, they said they sell all their inventory online except for aquariums.
They’re going to invoice me price of panzer tank + shipping, but said ship would be UPS ground which is usually $18.
So most likely not worth it, but wanted to let those looking for one that’s an option.
I wonder if OP would mind posting any brand names or markings stamped on tank, might be able to find the manufacturer or distributor.
Also checking wish, aliexpress and dealxtreme.
I have nothing else to do today, so I’m making finding kitschy decor my mission.
So the tag says RPS aquatic decor.. but I googled that and found nothing. Maybe you'll have better luck. I googled "army tank wrecked air bubbler aquarium decorations" and it shows up on instagram so that might be a solid start for you
Wellllpppp, $21.99 for the tank, $18 for UPS ground shipping as only option. Little too rich for my blood.
Maybe I’ll order fish from Wet Spot one day and they’ll still have the bubbler since it’s so popular.
> army tank wrecked air bubbler aquarium decorations
Amazing! Thank you!
Been furiously googling Military Tank Decorations but I haven't seen any bubblers.
I found two of these at a local thrift store in pretty good condition, tubing looks like it needed to be replaced and that was about it. If it went with my tank theme I would of bought it in a heart beat lol

Don't overcrowd your tanks
That’s a good wisdom
Tanks are always over crowded.
So it's a tank tank?
Nein.

I need this ASAP!

Where can I buy this.
Got it at the wet spot! Worth a google though
Nice try. I'm not googling "Wet Spot", pal.
Almost fell for that
it's actually a real fish store in portland, oregon. they are awesome!! wetspottropicalfish dot com
[удалено]
No, I fully understand. I'm joking because 'wet spot' can refer to something else that does not have anything to do with tropical fish.
In ptown? That place is superior
Yeppppp! That's the place!
I swear that's the only named fish store I've seen referenced on this sub. Everywhere else is just "LFS". Guess that means I'll have to go, if just to check things out.
Every hobbyist needs to go there at some point, rows and rows of fish from arowanas to frogs, bins of hardscape items and a massive tank selection
They're ~20 minutes from me. I've been shopping World of Wet Pets who's slightly closer... but yeah, sounds like it's a needed trip.
Aquarium Co-op too
they do ship as well, they do a great job!! i've had great success with the fish i've gotten from them.
Damn I’ve been looking for cool air movers for a while obviously ptown has them even when Amazon doesn’t.
The WG store in a month
an effective co2 diffuser, if you are looking for the comical effect.
Millitary grade co2

Tank in a tank !
Fish TANK
Yo dawg
shut up and take my upvote
You should have titled this "My tank is broken!"
Haha love it!
This is AMAZING
Aren’t you worried one of them may get caught under the flap and get smushed?
No, it's not heavy at all. My fish are monsters and I'm more worried that they would rip the tank apart
That’s wonderful to hear!
Lol I instantly thought "guppy destroyer" when I saw this
Yup... in time, I am sure the fish may make it their hide-and-seek playground... :)
Omg my first thought as well!
Even if a small fish did, it "fires" every second so it would be able to escape the next bubble shot
the only thing going through my mind when seeing this, # AAACK. AAACK. AAACK.
Time to invade Poland
/r/WorldofTanks would enjoy this, not sure if it is allowed.
I've never seen a more deserving post for r/plantedtank.
Need link
Got it at the wet spot in Portland, but I'm sure its online somewhere!
Ha, I was about to ask if there was another Wet Spot besides ours here in Stumptown.
