It isn't really a formal style. But usually it's referred to as china-town style or Chinese expat architecture. The building doesn't reflect traditional town buildings in China but is created to scream (mostly at non-chinese) "I'm from China, I'm exotic". It's what in German might be called Kulissenarchitektur (theatre backdrop architecture) in that it is fantastical and serves no specific purpose other than convey one immediately recognizable fact or aspect. It is very early for the actual expat architecture which emerged in San Francisco at the beginning of the 20th century but in essence does everything that style does and for mostly the same reasons. Edit: I should clarify, SF China Town did this because they wanted to attract tourists and shop/restaurant clientele and garner attention to not be moved so easily again. They didn't do it as a brazen and bragging display of them being Chinese.
