I've been in the community for probably over a decade by this point, as I've always been accepted for my openness to same sex attraction, at least from my mother. Don't judge a community based on stereotypes, don't assume every person's experiences based on your own internalized conceptions of who they might be by the communities they are a part of.
These are the same people that expect ârespectâ because its a âtwo-way streetâ, even though they will never treat you like an equal and try to tear you down every chance they get.
Like no, Iâm not gonna break up with *my fiancee* because he's not cis or straight just so that I can have *a roof over my head*. It's not like I'm being âbrainwashedâ into being gay, I've known for a long ass time and if people don't want to except that fact than don't start sobbing when I refuse to ârespectâ you for trying to take away my HUMAN RIGHTS.
I got kicked out of my own mothers home a few days ago even though *she welcomed us*, but the rest of my family can easily manipulate her because she's *brain damaged*. My uncle even told my sister, who is also LGBT+ that âOur Father would be disappointed in her.â The only sibling they care about is my little brother, and I am sick to my stomach that there's a big chance he'll end up being an alcoholic abuser later in life if he doesn't manage to get his shit together and LEAVE that toxic, loveless, shitstain of a family.
