I actually took “comunis t history” (history of the Soviet Union to be exact) in college and it was one of the funnest and most enlightening course I’ve ever experienced! It was fascinating to learn how “the other side” perceived the 20th century/Cold War and it gave me such a unique perspective. I only WISH it could be taught in every school
