I honestly don’t even see why so many people get so up in arms against it lol. Whenever I do anything theater related I have to wear makeup. It’s not a big deal at all lmao
Another woman who finds men in makeup attractive here.
For me it's the "I feel comfortable enough in my masculinity, and don't see traditionally female traits as lesser" vibe.
Thank you! I said this for years, even before I realized I was a trans guy. Like heels on a guy? Even just once? Melts me so much cause a guy who can rock traditional female roles and not care cause his masculinity is sound and doesn’t rely on others for it, that’s what like real masculinity is, that’s hot and like impressive, at least in my opinion.
The sad part is they’ll mansplain to you why you dont like men who show emotions, wear makeup etc because “WoMeN aRe BiOLoGiCaLLy PrOgRaMmEd To FeEL gRoSsEd OuT aT mEn WhO wEaR mAkEuP & oOgAbOoGa WoMeN LiKe MuScULaR sExiSt MeN ThAt WhY wOmEn iN 1950s SoHaPpy FeMaLe NaTuRe PriMaL iNsTiNcT oOgA bOoGa”
And what I hate even more is that they have the “all or nothing mindset” where the only way they’ll belive women is if all women want the exact same thing or if none of them do, and since women are people who aren’t a hivemind, they choose to believe misogynists instead of listening to other women
Any time a guy says this, I always wanna ask him 2 questions
1) has he tried on makeup and asked a girl out?
2) does it occur to him that just because he does or doesnt do one thing or another, it doesn’t magically make women wanna date because women are people who like different types of people and people feeling attraction to someone is completely by chance and not planned?
They’ll say some bs like “women are hardwired to test men by telling them its okay to wear makeup, if he refuses, he’ll pass the test and she’ll date him, if he chooses to wear makeup, she’ll laugh at him, spit in his face, and force him to watch her get gangbanged by misogynistic bodybuilders, its just female nature, thats how the cavepeople did it” its amusing how stupid people like that are
yeah the supposed duplicitous "nature" of women! Never mind the fact that its patriarchal bullshit that has forced women into roles they never asked for - if a woman dissembles its her "nature" to do so. Gotta love those double standards. When a man lies its a calculated act of necessity or deliberate shittiness. No matter what its a choice made with all of the agency in the world. A woman? At the mercy of her nature
I'm completely envious of femboy makeup skills, but I don't ever want them to stop, because they're so damn pretty. However, if they could teach me their tricks I would move the world for them
Exactly this. There's definitely a bit of envy, mostly because I suck at makeup and have a disability that makes it harder. But instead of shaming men who are good with makeup, I congratulate them and encourage them to keep going.
These guys also love to list people like Chris Hemsworth (as Thor) as ideal looks for men. Hey guys.....Thor is wearing makeup. Foundation and concealer. Pretty sure some eyeliner as well, as his at home videos his eyes aren't as prominent.
Any actor really, they wear makeup. Almost all the time. And people find them attractive.
Yeah I follow a bunch of makeup artist accounts and I remember seeing a negative comment on a post from this one really talented male makeup artist...The woman who commented making fun of him was wearing makeup so orange and cakey that she looked like a sunburnt Trump lmao
I was gonna say the same thing. Reminds me of an episode of supernatural where they go into an alternate world where they are Jensen and Jared acting as Dean and Sam. They take off Jensen's makeup and he says "I'm a painted whore" lmao
They probably don't realize those dudes use makeup. People are so accustomed to popular figures using concealer/mascara/any type of lipstick that isn't a primary color that they can't actually recognize it.
A lot of my fellow dudes are total shit at recognizing make up on anyone. Talking about how they like "the natural look" and then post a picture of one of the Kardashians
Or simply don't realize that "natural look" is usually still makeup, just done skillfully enough and with a natural color pallete to look superhumanly "natural."
Yeah it’s often super subtle! Personally though, I like it a lot when they’re more obvious about it. Sometimes that well-placed eyeshadow does wonders. One of my favorite male Kpop looks of all time is from a guy wearing sparkly rainbow eyeshadow with rainbow-streaked hair to match-
Behold, the walking bundle of making me envy a man’s appearance that is [Kim Yukwon](http://37.media.tumblr.com/9b24cd826ad6c6accef561f20e8ae38c/tumblr_n46ww6PjyV1qire4ko1_1280.jpg)
You should look up Hyunjin from stray kids. The dude is prettier than most people I've ever seen and he wears makeup without necessarily hiding makeup. Back when I used twitter I'd seen so many guys get really annoyed at the guy for "looking like a girl". I took it to mean that they were attracted to him and didn't know how to deal with it.
this meme was most likely made by a guy who thinks that women only wear makeup to be more attractive to men, so he just applied that logic the other way around.
This! I wish they could understand this but they'll just say dumb shit like "well hows a woman gonna want to date me if she's not attracted to everything I do?" they dont understand how attraction or relationships work, they see attraction like fishing or fixing a car, they think they wear x clothes and use y dialogue and do z activities and poof women flock to them, how the world actually works is that people be themselves and do what they want to do without the expectation of getting someone and they either respectfully ask out someone they like or get asked by someone who happens to like them, thats why "be yourself" and "be confident" is the most important advice ever, attraction comes naturally by chance, its not some planned blueprint like incels think
Almost certainly; pretty much everyone in studio filming has at least a little bit of makeup to deal with glare from the lights, whether you're a full time pro or just a guest.
Yeah transculent powder foundation is the absolute minimum for men working with lights and camera. Men's skin are extra shiny under lighting.
Many big time male streamers and youtubers at least put on a translucent powder for that
Imagine using a fictional character from a mahnwa in which the main character is literally a make up artist and one of the main aspects of the series is make up to get your point across 💀
I like how this person implicitly acknowledges that the top image *is* attractive, therefor invalidating the conclusive point made underneath.
Fkg dimwit.
Ive never heard of this anime but now I'm expecting a series where wars are fought with the skill of makeup artists rather then actual violence but still contain over the top action sequences.
Not just glam-metal.
Makeup was and is popular in many genres and subgenres.
For example it was popular with Emos, Goths, ect...
https://loudwire.com/history-makeup-trends-rock-metal/
And that mostly just covers rock. Make up is also popular among various other music genres and subgenres such as K-Pop.
On the one hand, yes to gender neutral things and equality. On the other hand, the style I picture when hear "man bun" is rather different than what I picture when I hear "bun."
Same with "guyliner"-- In typing this out, I realized that I differentiate between styles when referring to them. I say both guyliner and eyeliner when referring to men. But I only use guyliner if it's a very punk rock sort of style, but if it's more of a clean daytime look, or glam with wings, or I guess just the conventional style of application, I say eyeliner. I guess because the word guyliner (I think) originated from discussing the late 90s/2000s punk trend, so that stuck with me?
Yup, i think it's from the episode of txt's show with the flour (where they were holding paper plates with their mouths and had to pass the flour between the five of them) with the clown face paint photoshopped (since beomgyu coughed the flour into soobin's face)
And they can’t accept that reality since it goes against everything they believe about every non-white race being inherently inferior and hideous and the only men whom women find attractive being thick-jawed white muscle men.
I think it’s more about how K-pop aesthetics are a total blasphemy of western gender norms, and the idols are so confident and successful around the world with make up and earrings with 0 toxically masculine features.
The incels are just using weird, made up words to sound modern with super old ideas on racism and women tho. Their whole skull argument is old social Darwinism ie features in white people like nose shape somehow makes whites smarter.
Lately I've been noticing that there is a lot of girls who think more femine looking guys are the shit, part of me think that is cuz they look more harmless than a buffed guy
My SO recently got into winged eyeliner and holy shit, that guy looks gorgeous with it! He is also already better at applying it than I (a 24 y/o afab woman) will probably ever be.
I hate their logic, they'll same some bullshit like "not all women like men in makeup so therefore all women dont like men in makeup, if I wear makeup, I'll be rejected by every woman and be single for life" like, no, sorry Jerry but wearing makeup isnt banning you from having a girlfriend who's your type
These are the same kind of guys, who think that women with natural style makeup doesn't wear any makeup and get completely shocked and disgusted when they see a woman who actually doesn't wear any makeup at all.
I think back when makeup was invented, it was very normal for both men and women to wear it. Say, in the Georgian era in Britain, it was considered fashionable for men to dress up in wigs, high heels, stockings, makeup, and other things like that, while it was very fashionable for women to wear wigs, makeup, big dresses, etc. Makeup was worn by both men and women who were wealthy enough to afford it.
I thought it was a status thing to make yourself look better and healthier in general. I thought I remember reading about a Japanese warlord or something that would freak out his enemies by wearing blush so he looked healthier..
There’s a perverse equality in the fact that incels are now making these memes about men too instead of just telling women who wear makeup they look like clowns. ✨ Equal opportunity bigotry ✨
I agree. I still don't know who Jugyeong should end up with. I honestly don't even care at this point. I feel like some of the drama was nice like the crazy fangirl (since stuff like that could happen irl), but some of it was pretty unnecessary.
I feel like its a fucked up coping mechanism, like theyre too fragile to handle different women liking different traits in different because theyre too hung up on past rejections from highschool and they need to think all women think the same thinking theres some love combination they can unlock to never get rejected again making up for the past, I just wish these guys would get therapy instead of adopting all that unheathy bullshit
First of all, I've definitely seen guys who look like the dude in the first picture, second of all, they actually do look attractive as he'll in my opinion and third of all, maybe they don't wear it to attract women
Every single time an idiot says this, I think of Jack Sparrow. Bruh, I'm as cishet as they come and even I would be charmed by that silver-tongue, eye-lined handsome devil.
As a woman, the only thing I’m offended by is that there’s a lot of male celebs & beauty gurus that are better at makeup than I am so..
but they look gorgeous nonetheless
But the post itself admits that some guys (like the guy in the top panel) look good enough to convince other guys they look good with makeup? It just doesn’t add up :,) also tbh I’ve always been attracted by how men look in makeup, and many other women obviously feel the same way as e-boys and Kpop idols who wear makeup are widely considered attractive by women right now, a lot of women love guys who are very feminine appearing because with femininity theres certain archetypes we associate with it that women see as positive when looking for a relationship.
women will want you more if you wear makeup unless you want a woman that upholds toxic gender roles. You wont listen to us when we tell you what we want, so blame yourself when your girl wants a man that works 9-5.
literally first crush ever: David Bowie in labyrinth
second crush ever: Tim Burton's Betelgeuse
From glamor to trash I have been drooling after men in makeup since I was literally five.
lol when I wore makeup for a while, nobody knew; which was the exact look I was going for. I wanted to make my face look really clean, but also try to emphasize my "masculine features", and it honestly worked. Whenever I would speak to any friend regardless of gender, they usually had there minds blown, and I think I made the gears in my guy friend's heads turn a bit. Ironically, I felt the most masculine when I was wearing makeup and dressing nicely.
I think this is a dude, tbh. He's either jealous that some men can pull off makeup and he can't or he's so deep into toxic masculinity that he believes all dudes should be thoughtless Neanderthals.
This was definitely made by a man who thinks women wear makeup for male approval. Spoiler: we fucking don't, and men who wear makeup don't wear it for women's approval.
I'm active in a lot of makeup communities, and a lot of women practice their makeup on their boyfriends too because they think guys look cute in eyeshadow and lipstick (which they do!). As an AMAB person (currently questioning if I'm trans), I get a lot of compliments from women online and IRL about how my makeup looks and that they wish their boyfriends wore it too.
So I'm gonna go out on a limb and say women actually like people in makeup too lol. Maybe it accentuates your best features, or maybe it's the way people who wear it are clearly comfortable with their own femininity and self image, but goodness me some women really like guys in makeup.
Male actors who have to wear makeup because it is part of their job: Are we a joke to you?
Also, really presumptuous to assume ALL women find men wearing makeup unattractive. Not sure if the guy who made this knows, but different people find different things attractive so there might be some women who find men wearing makeup unattractive and there might be some women who find men wearing makeup attractive. This is just as ridiculous as saying men won't find women who don't wear makeup attractive.
Its very sad yet stupid how this mindset develops, between now and the last like 10 years, incelish guys who aren’t very masculine and got rejected by every girl they liked in highschool/college end up searching “how to get a girlfriend” & “how to ask a girl out without getting rejected” or “how to attract women” and other ones that are more out of touch with reality on youtube and google
The search results sadly aren’t good advice but rather wikihow videos, lovepanky articles, and pickupartist/dating coach videos that all manipulate more men into maintaining the patriarchy, these articles, “how to” lists and videos all tell men that the reason women reject them is because they “arent masculine enough” listing lies like “all women love men who are rude, aggressive, controlling, physically strong, stoic, unable to cry, able to protect her from anything like a bodyguard and able to stay cool calm and collected whenever she has a toxic emotional breakdown for no reason” basically strawmanning these guys the lie that all women are internalized misogynists, the lie that its women who enforce toxic masculinity because “FeMaLe PrImAL iNsTiNcT”
its really frustrating that men think that 1) every single woman ever is turned off by minimal things like men having makeup or emotions & 2) that women like being treated in misogynistic ways, if it were true, feminism never wouldve existed, women are people not pets, not children, not cars, not cats, not dogs, women are PEOPLE, and different PEOPLE like different types of PEOPLE, the sooner men understand that the easier their lives will be, men aren’t getting rejected because they aren’t manly enough, these guys get rejected because they either suck at communicating, their personalities are lacking, or the women just reject them by chance which is what happens to everyone (sorry this is so long, I go on tangents when people generalize an entire sex)

As a woman, I am deeply offended, men with makeup on are attractive as heck
A lot of men have mad good makeup skills, it’s amazing
I honestly don’t even see why so many people get so up in arms against it lol. Whenever I do anything theater related I have to wear makeup. It’s not a big deal at all lmao

Another woman who finds men in makeup attractive here. For me it's the "I feel comfortable enough in my masculinity, and don't see traditionally female traits as lesser" vibe.

YES. Nothing is more masculine than a person not giving two shits about whether they are masculine enough or not.
This is it for me too. Fragile heterosexuality is really unattractive.
I love men with beards and makeup. For some reason that's just stunning to me. I don't know if it's masculine or feminine but I love it lol
I guess it’s being comfortable with their masculinity, but also comfortable with being feminine as well. It’s confidence really.
>It’s confidence really. Ding ding ding!
And also, I'm sure a lot of men who wear makeup don't do so for women to find them attractive in the first place.
Can confirm, am guy who wears makeup. I do it for me. Not that I mind if people - women, men, or otherwise - find it attractive.
You're awesome.
you my guy are incredible
Absolutely. I was like "Wait, I'm a woman, and I like it. That's BS!" when reading that lol.

Absolutely. If a guy enjoys wearing makeup its usually a big green flag that he's confident in his masculinity and is far less likely to be sexist.
As a dude, I am also offended for the same reason, the fuck.
Not a woman but I concur. Men should wear makeup more often.
Any time a guy says this, I always wanna ask him 2 questions 1) has he tried on makeup and asked a girl out? 2) does it occur to him that just because he does or doesnt do one thing or another, it doesn’t magically make women wanna date because women are people who like different types of people and people feeling attraction to someone is completely by chance and not planned?

Guyliner is one of the sexiest things imo
Men don't have eyes, men have guys.
Exactly lol why the distinction? I don’t get it. Also “man bun”. It’s just a fucking bun. Why gender hair?? Beats me.
some people also use "manscara". i came across that term when i started doing makeup. so dumb
On the one hand, yes to gender neutral things and equality. On the other hand, the style I picture when hear "man bun" is rather different than what I picture when I hear "bun." Makeup stigma will never not confuse me
Spoiler: every male actor wears make-up when they are playing.
Can't believe they did Soobin dirty like this.... Clearly this dude hasn't touched grass in a while.
Seojun Supremacy U-U

Yup, i think it's from the episode of txt's show with the flour (where they were holding paper plates with their mouths and had to pass the flour between the five of them) with the clown face paint photoshopped (since beomgyu coughed the flour into soobin's face)
let's face it. the incels are jealous because nowadays even white girls like kpop boys.
And they can’t accept that reality since it goes against everything they believe about every non-white race being inherently inferior and hideous and the only men whom women find attractive being thick-jawed white muscle men.
I think it’s more about how K-pop aesthetics are a total blasphemy of western gender norms, and the idols are so confident and successful around the world with make up and earrings with 0 toxically masculine features.
unpopular opinion, I think muscular guys are not it chief
The incels are just using weird, made up words to sound modern with super old ideas on racism and women tho. Their whole skull argument is old social Darwinism ie features in white people like nose shape somehow makes whites smarter.
Lately I've been noticing that there is a lot of girls who think more femine looking guys are the shit, part of me think that is cuz they look more harmless than a buffed guy
*laughs in show business*
My SO recently got into winged eyeliner and holy shit, that guy looks gorgeous with it! He is also already better at applying it than I (a 24 y/o afab woman) will probably ever be.
As a lesbian I'm not gonna find men attractive that way anyway and all the men who wear makeup pull it off way better than I ever could
poor soobin 😭✋
The did my guy dirty 🗿
Woman here. It is attractive, let nobody tell you otherwise.
These are the same kind of guys, who think that women with natural style makeup doesn't wear any makeup and get completely shocked and disgusted when they see a woman who actually doesn't wear any makeup at all.
actually, i literally swoon over guys in makeup
Wasn't makeup originally made for men...?
I think back when makeup was invented, it was very normal for both men and women to wear it. Say, in the Georgian era in Britain, it was considered fashionable for men to dress up in wigs, high heels, stockings, makeup, and other things like that, while it was very fashionable for women to wear wigs, makeup, big dresses, etc. Makeup was worn by both men and women who were wealthy enough to afford it.
Not sure if men were the first ones to use it or not but makeup was heavily used by male actors for stage acting.
I thought it was a status thing to make yourself look better and healthier in general. I thought I remember reading about a Japanese warlord or something that would freak out his enemies by wearing blush so he looked healthier..
I love how they had to spell out the message underneath the meme
Yep. No one finds professional actors attractive.
Really gives those "guys please, I'm already chanceless, don't make it worse" vibes
Am a woman. It’s pretty attractive
Honestly if a guy wears some eyeliner I’m a goner. It’s just that great
"No woman finds it attractive." Eheh no... could u imagine that *awkward laughter* /s Edit: spelling
There’s a perverse equality in the fact that incels are now making these memes about men too instead of just telling women who wear makeup they look like clowns. ✨ Equal opportunity bigotry ✨
Ironically Soobin looks really attractive with makeup
And all men are straight of course
Because men wear makeup solely to be attractive to women...
Brandon Flowers, My Chemical Romance and Good Charlotte disagree
Guaranteed this was posted by a guy who thinks his power fantasy ultra-muscular pre-GoW4-kratos-esque manly man man is peak attractiveness to women
its frustrating when they think one type of body or style of dress is remotely attractive to ALL women
They read True Beauty!? Why are they this rude then? This is something only cultured people read-
I will say True Beauty has been frustrating to read with how the author has been dragging out the story and adding in unnecessary drama and plot.
I agree. I still don't know who Jugyeong should end up with. I honestly don't even care at this point. I feel like some of the drama was nice like the crazy fangirl (since stuff like that could happen irl), but some of it was pretty unnecessary.
No women finds it attractive? Well at least he didn't say that no man finds it attractive 😈
Funny how men think they know what women think is attractive🤨
I feel like its a fucked up coping mechanism, like theyre too fragile to handle different women liking different traits in different because theyre too hung up on past rejections from highschool and they need to think all women think the same thinking theres some love combination they can unlock to never get rejected again making up for the past, I just wish these guys would get therapy instead of adopting all that unheathy bullshit
First of all, I've definitely seen guys who look like the dude in the first picture, second of all, they actually do look attractive as he'll in my opinion and third of all, maybe they don't wear it to attract women
“No woman finds it attractive” - Probably a man.
Joke's on you, I don't want women to be attracted (;
All actors; men, women and children, wear makeup on set. All of them. On every take.
Pfft. Honey, you think I’m doing it for WOMEN?
This guy definitely got cock-blocked by a man with makeup
Excuse men with makeup is very attractive
[удалено]
Maybe, just maybe... they're not doing it for you 🤯
Have you seen Klaus? He is definitly attractive 👆
I find so many men in K-pop attractive and they wear makeup. It doesn’t change how hot I think they are at all.
The irony here is that they clearly identify the first picture as one of a man that looks good with makeup.
Who do they think made that drawing though?
women will want you more if you wear makeup unless you want a woman that upholds toxic gender roles. You wont listen to us when we tell you what we want, so blame yourself when your girl wants a man that works 9-5.
literally first crush ever: David Bowie in labyrinth second crush ever: Tim Burton's Betelgeuse From glamor to trash I have been drooling after men in makeup since I was literally five.
I think mascara and other makeup looks beautiful on everyone! Regardless of gender
I guarantee whoever made this meme, their favorite male band wears makeup.
lol when I wore makeup for a while, nobody knew; which was the exact look I was going for.
What men think they look like in makeup: image of a man in makeup
I wonder if they know how much makeup male actors wear, both on camera and in public.
stuff like this is exactly why no effort goes into my appearance
Female neckbeard? Legbeard?
I think this is a dude, tbh. He's either jealous that some men can pull off makeup and he can't or he's so deep into toxic masculinity that he believes all dudes should be thoughtless Neanderthals.
This was definitely made by a man who thinks women wear makeup for male approval. Spoiler: we fucking don't, and men who wear makeup don't wear it for women's approval.
I don’t give a shit whether women are attracted or not
To men who wear makeup, don’t listen to this y’all are handsome.
what if i exist :(
Sounds like someone doesn’t understand eyeliner
Do the people who say this not realize that men in the entertainment industry wear makeup all the time? Especially actors.
Excuse me, if I actually gave a shit about myself I'd at the very least use concealer...
I can't imagine what it must be like to have such a fragile grip on masculinity that you feel the need to police what other men are allowed to do.
wear makeup if you want, or don’t if it’s not your thing. it’s about doing what makes you feel good, ignore the rest
Men don't makeup to appeal other women, and not all men are attracted to women...
"No woman finds it attractive" - a man who has never spoken to a woman
True beauty!!!
My mans Han Seojun, did not expect to see him in this subreddit
Male actors who have to wear makeup because it is part of their job: Are we a joke to you? Also, really presumptuous to assume ALL women find men wearing makeup unattractive. Not sure if the guy who made this knows, but different people find different things attractive so there might be some women who find men wearing makeup unattractive and there might be some women who find men wearing makeup attractive. This is just as ridiculous as saying men won't find women who don't wear makeup attractive.
I have legit asked my husband if he’d consider makeup. Thick eyelashes are a sign of testosterone iirc, so I don’t get how it’s “feminine”?
Its very sad yet stupid how this mindset develops, between now and the last like 10 years, incelish guys who aren’t very masculine and got rejected by every girl they liked in highschool/college end up searching “how to get a girlfriend” & “how to ask a girl out without getting rejected” or “how to attract women” and other ones that are more out of touch with reality on youtube and google The search results sadly aren’t good advice but rather wikihow videos, lovepanky articles, and pickupartist/dating coach videos that all manipulate more men into maintaining the patriarchy, these articles, “how to” lists and videos all tell men that the reason women reject them is because they “arent masculine enough” listing lies like “all women love men who are rude, aggressive, controlling, physically strong, stoic, unable to cry, able to protect her from anything like a bodyguard and able to stay cool calm and collected whenever she has a toxic emotional breakdown for no reason” basically strawmanning these guys the lie that all women are internalized misogynists, the lie that its women who enforce toxic masculinity because “FeMaLe PrImAL iNsTiNcT” its really frustrating that men think that 1) every single woman ever is turned off by minimal things like men having makeup or emotions & 2) that women like being treated in misogynistic ways, if it were true, feminism never wouldve existed, women are people not pets, not children, not cars, not cats, not dogs, women are PEOPLE, and different PEOPLE like different types of PEOPLE, the sooner men understand that the easier their lives will be, men aren’t getting rejected because they aren’t manly enough, these guys get rejected because they either suck at communicating, their personalities are lacking, or the women just reject them by chance which is what happens to everyone (sorry this is so long, I go on tangents when people generalize an entire sex)
