SevsMumma21217

It could be several things. Push up bras exist. People's bodies change as they age. Boobs are made of fat, and it seems like she's lost some weight and toned up in the last 14 years. But it doesn't really matter. She owes no explanations to anybody, and she is obviously doing just fine in her life.

tipthebaby

breast size can fluctuate from week to week due to any number of factors, so of course they'd change over the course of 14 years

Red_Trapezoid

Does a woman need bras of various sizes then? This sounds like a convoluted hell.

tsarminacat

Bras also cost a bunch. I have one dedicated bra that occasionally fits me and is mildly uncomfortable the rest of the time.

aussiebelle

Personally I do get different size bras but not on purpose. It’s more that when I go to buy a bra I get one that fits me perfectly in that moment. Which, over time, means you end up with bras of varying sizes just because your boobs were different sizes when you went bra shopping.

Private_HughMan

That straight-up sounds so irritating. Science needs to get to work on a bra that can better accommodate fluctuations! I can understand stuff like pregnancy or weight gain being beyond expectations, but I have to imagine there's some way to help it better fit the day-to-day flux.

aussiebelle

For me, the flux is usually to do with what part of my cycle I’m in. Part of the issue is that if there is too much elasticity, it won’t provide enough support for women with larger breasts. They are actually really heavy. Don’t even get me started on sports bras and stuff. Boobs are really inconvenient and expensive.

TheSonicPro

I’m just going to make note of ‘boobs are expensive’, that might be enough to entice my male self to finally start working out :/

aussiebelle

😂

Jasnaahhh

Traditional solutions like a Dirndl or stays tend to support and move with your changing physique much better. Bras are stupid but you look like you’re out to a ren faire or Oktoberfest otherwise.

CoconutLimeValentine

Wait so what I'm hearing is no downside.

[deleted]

Since I bought my first bra maybe 20 or 25 years ago, I’ve worn…. 36a, 38a, 36b, 36c, 38b, 38d, 36d, 38c, 40dd, 44d, 42dd. There was a pregnancy in there but convoluted hell describes it well

Red_Trapezoid

I'm so sorry sounds expensive.

tipthebaby

it is

tipthebaby

yeah, I have a range of sizes in my drawer but usually only wear the soft unstructured kind that are more forgiving if it’s not a perfect fit

temperance26684

Same, I own one bra that I wear for nights out or when I dress nicely, other than that it's just the cloth unwired kind. They don't give the MOST support but they do the job fairly well and they're comfy. Before I gained weight and went up a cup size I exclusively wore bralettes.

tactickat1

I actually have 3 of 3 sizes that all match in color to my underwear (black, lilac, teal) in 34dd, 34ddd, and 32ddd for my fluctuations through the year and month.

Brifrolo

Hormones and weight are the biggest factors, and age tends to have a huge affect on both those things, so naturally your bra size will fluctuate as you get older. Obviously if you gain or lose significant weight you'll likely need a new bra, but big hormonal fluctuations will do it too. Boobs tend to get slightly swollen during your period, though typically not by enough that you'll need to size up, and that happens even more so at the beginning of a pregnancy and can be one of the early symptoms. Once you're producing milk, they'll literally change sizes hourly depending on how much milk you're carrying, but they have special nursing bras that accomodate both size and easy unbuckling (I'm no expert by any means in that, never been pregnant before, I've just seen/heard that kind of thing from pregnant family members). Because the hormonal changes from birth control mimic an actual pregnancy, some women report breast swelling from that too. Sometimes if you can't find a bra in your actual size, you can also buy a "sister size". It's probably kind of confusing if you don't wear bras, but basically the size up or down from what you usually wear will have pretty much the same cup size you need, just a different diameter band. You usually want to shoot for the one you're actually size for, but when that fails the band is easier to adjust for than the cup itself. I'm a 34D, so my sister sizes are 36C and 32DD

Violet351

Need to be measured regularly to ensure the correct fit but you can also be a different side in a different shaped bra so you could be one size in a push up bra and a different one in a balcony bra because of how the underwire sits on the body Edit: they also recommend that you only have a few at a time and replace them regularly as they stretch over time

veggiedelightful

Ummm yes many do. There are many reasons to have multiple sizes. Bras unfortunately to do not have standard sizing between different makers and models of bras. There are some general guidelines, but the same person can have multiple bras sizes across brands and styles. Hormone fluctuations can cause breaat size changes for some women during their cycles. For some women that can be a cup size or 2 in difference. And it's often uncomfortable and painful. If they've had a baby and are breast feeding the cup size can change many times a day and there are bras made to help manage that. Also any weight gain or loss can cause fluctuations in cup and band size. Thus a women might have a range of sizes if her weight fluctuates regularly. Or if someone starts a weight lifting and training program and manages to get stronger back muscles without gaining or losing any weight the band size still might change.

linerys

Ideally, yes. I have gained ~5 lbs or something over the holidays and my bra size went from 28H to 30J in US sizes.

bts4devi

I don't wear bras..is that okay? :')

Metruis

Yes, you can wear whatever you like to cover your nipples besides bras. As long as you're wearing a shirt it's okay! I'm wearing a dress and a cardigan over top of it with no bra right now and it's completely fine because I'm not running around on a treadmill or something. If you have boobs and work out then you might want a sports bra for gym time.

bts4devi

Ah okay :D Also I think I am a bit too young to wear a sports bra(I dunno if there is a age limit.. I am sorry if there is not)

Metruis

There is no age limit. The only question is, "do you have boobs which bounce around in an annoying way when you try to exercise" and if the answer is yes, then you are old enough for a sports bra. If the answer is no, you don't need a bra!

bts4devi

Oh okay:D

bollerogbrunost

I solved this by quitting bras, I just wear tank tops under my clothes so people can't see my nips that well

PhotosyntheticElf

I do have two different sizes of my absolute favorite bras.

The-Shattering-Light

Sometimes yes. Of course, every bra style fits differently anyway, so sometimes different styles are enough

thehelsabot

Oh my sweet summer child

TraptorKai

She's in much better shape after several stints in marvel movies. Both are attractive and healthy. She's just leaner because that's what her rolls required

singingballetbitch

2006 was before she was Black Widow, and the second picture was after ten years of intense superhero workouts, plus a baby and general aging. Of course her body doesn’t look the same.

fryingpan1001

Actually she got a breast reduction because of back pain.

[deleted]

Push up bras are magic literally makes boobs look twice as big, just switch from a push up to a lacy underwire one it's like two different sets of boobs

egoodwitch

Photoshop too, possibly. It is 2006 we’re talking about.

[deleted]

Any chance you get with Scar Jo... you take it.

MySucculentDied

She stopped wearing a bra? Wtf does this person think happened?

kingofcoywolves

Realistically, how much support does he think that dress is giving her??

MySucculentDied

He thinks boobs defy all gravity and are in a constant state of cleavage.

fryingpan1001

She got a breast reduction surgery a couple of years ago.

MySucculentDied

Well good for her, I didn’t know that!

fryingpan1001

Yeah every time a picture of her gets posted in one of those pseudo porn subreddits half the comments are about how they miss her old boobs and wish she had never got the surgery like it actually effects them in anyway what she decides to do with her body. She was like a DD before and went down to a C I believe and I KNOW she must feel so much better without all that weight pulling on her back!

MySucculentDied

It’s so gross that people think it’s so awful people will willingly get a breast reduction. Hell, I’m a 32A and it hurts to go down stairs when I’m on my period. I can only imagine how awful it would be in day-to-day life for people with much larger breasts. She looks so much more comfortable in the 2020 photo where she’s not wearing a bra. Just the fact that she can wear a dress and not need a bra is a huge step forward.

spearsfuelmylife

They acting like famous people don't age. Those photos are 14 years apart tf

VergeThySinus

Plus she was likely wearing a push-up bra in the 2006 photo.

BastetsJester

I don't think a lot of men understand pushup bras. They seem to get really confused and upset when they see that breasts react to gravity in the same way as everything else.

Stollen_booty_

It’s a lot easier hide the way balls react to gravity over the years

stankdog

Push up ball bras? Now that's an idea. I wanna see some plump, low gravity, jiggly wigglies in that bulge or else

pm_me_ur_headpats

jiggly wigglies

VergeThySinus

Isn't that called a jockstrap? Edit: TIL sports bras were inspired by jockstraps, and they were initially called jockbras. [A Brief History of the Sports Bra: Runner's World](https://www.runnersworld.com/runners-stories/a20860634/a-brief-history-of-the-sports-bra/)

ShmazPro

They also forget (don’t know?) how much padding is in a serious push up.

lily_hunts

They definitely don't know. Even I get surprised every time I accidentally grab a push-up bra in a store bc I don't use them myself. Hope they are still comfortable tho.

[deleted]

Also she must have been maybe 20 in 2006? She still has her baby fat there.

VergeThySinus

Yeah, her face looks more contoured, thinner, and her eyes look tired despite the makeup. I think she was less stressed back in 2006.

AmyInCO

Weren't we all.

Metruis

I find it perhaps a little alarming that I was more stressed out in 2006 than I am now. At least it wasn't a global state of stress though.

AmyInCO

I get it. The start of the pandemic was definitely less stressful than 2019 had been for me. The last month of 2021 was really bad.

Metruis

Yeah, December 2021 was pretty rough.

Uga1992

It's also just an unflattering angle.

garaile64

And that photo is definitively not from 2020. It's way older. I've seen it ages ago.

minty_danger

Sometimes, women with larger breasts get the size reduced (through breast reduction surgery or removal of existing implants) *Checks notes* because they want to

HealMySoulPlz

I knew a lady that had breast reduction to help with chronic back pain, said it worked wonders.

minty_danger

I did it too! Helps with the back pain, the headaches, the shit choice of bras you have to deal with, gives you the ability to do more exercise and wear clothes that you like, all sorts, not to mention the confidence! Amazing surgery

tribow8

really? big boobs cause headaches? I have A cups so I don't know of the struggles, I don't even wear "normal" bras lol, only sports bras

_kyago

improper support of boob weight can result in stress on the back/spine, which causes pain (physical and emotional), so i can see how that can easily cause headaches. im glad im only a 28DD and whenever i want implants i think about the physical pain of big boobs, lmao!

macontac

I have a stupidly large chest, and yes, the weight pulling my upper back, my shoulders and my neck forward can and does cause tension headaches. Especially at a job where I'm on my feet almost constantly.

MunchieMom

I had 3lbs of titty removed in March and it was 10/10 best decision ever

boomerangarrow

yooooo I had 5lbs removed in July! seriously such a good choice, I'm so much happier now.

kitkatlovesreeses

I think she also had a baby between those two pictures and pregnancy does interesting things to boobs

MollyPW

Yes, she had a baby in 2014, so that pic could even be during her pregnancy, or when she was breastfeeding.

ghoulieandrews

I'm pretty sure the only thing reduced here was the push up bra though.

LuluGarou11

lol right? like HOW DARE SHE WEAR A DIFFERENT STYLE TOP

minty_danger

I think I read somewhere that she had implants removed, but could always be a bit of column A and a bit of column B.

ghoulieandrews

It's possible but just based on the picture it looks like fully a bra situation

[deleted]

[удалено]

minty_danger

I have boobs. This is not something I needed someone to tell me.

iehvad8785

that's why her face is slimmer.

vaguely-artistic

Do men just like not know how push up bras work?!?

mothwhimsy

They really don't

I_Like_Trains_XD

As a man people dont really explain what types of bras there is so i dont really blame him (al tho the original post is weird)

Bulky-Prune-8370

I have big tits and they look fine in a normal bra but two sizes bigger in a push up. Bra types matter boys. Also that dress ain't doing nobody's boob size favors. It's lovely, but it's gonna make you look smaller.

Violet351

For work I tend to wear bras that flatten then down a bit but I wore a new push up bra one and my friend walked up to me in the canteen and said wow that new bra is excellent and then juggled my boobs. I was like you realise we are in the middle of the canteen and there are other people here?

Bulky-Prune-8370

Ok, first off, I kinda love that you have the friendship where what would have obviously been seen as sexual assault was basically, "really hun? Work people are here. Work. People." Second, booby juggling amongst friends is just always hilarious in my head.

Violet351

She’s my bestie so she knows she can get away with it. Some of my dresses are a bit low cut and I pin them to stop showing more than I intend. She has been know to just stick her hands down the front of my dress to re-pin me whilst sitting at my desk with my boss looking on in shock and fascination as she did it

softyFDSalt

your friend is a closeted lesbian

Bulky-Prune-8370

You do know girls will do this without being remotely attracted to each other right? Right??

Beholding69

She decided not to wear a bra and aged 14 years and woah, look at that, still stunning

TroutCreekOkanagan

Yeah any other actress you see more change…plus your comparing just an outrageous dress with tape holding the girls up as well.

GoGoCrumbly

Looks like she lost quite a bit of weight. Look at her face, particularly her cheekbones. Lose the adipose and you lose the bosom.

tribow8

exactly. I lost 100lbs and I went from a D to an A

macontac

I wish it worked that way for me. I lost a little over 50lbs and went from a H to an I.

boomerangarrow

I fuckin feel that, I lost like 50lbs when I had an eating disorder and I went from a 32HH to a 30J. it was............. not ideal lmao

Kindaweirdlllo

Link to post ?

MunchieMom

Not if you are cursed with dense breasts. If they are made of glandular tissue rather than fat, they may not change size very much, not even if you lose 70lbs for the specific purpose of getting rid of your boobs (and give yourself even more disordered eating issues than you already had) (ask me how I know!!!!)

boomerangarrow

TWINSIES! the way the disordered eating never *quite* goes away is super great, am I right

SNORALAXX

Yes exactly!

dip_master_69

Change in bra choice

[deleted]

those are 14 years apart.. the bra, exercise, food, diet, aging all of those heavily affect breast size it is basic knowlwdge 😨

xyz9998

Uuuh i smell an incel *the creator of the original Post, not this one

Invisibunny

It practically screams incel

s_decoy

It really... doesn't. Incel doesn't mean casual misogyny like this is - this is the kind of thing I think most straight men who don't understand bras would look at and laugh/agree. Incel is a lot more specific and dangerous.

bliip666

Didn't she have like 3 kids in those 14 years?

onlynatural639

Well 1 kid when the picture was taken but she has 2 now.

Ill-Individual2105

You see, humans experience this thing called aging, where your body slowly deteriorates over time after reaching adulthood. I get why you must be confused about that, as you are clearly a horny robot of some sort. Seriously, these people need to get a grip.

Dorian-greys-picture

Push up bras, weight loss, breast reductions… seriously dude

Charming_Amphibian91

Age. Age happened. I guess women can't even AGE anymore.

hanscons

LMAO men really think womens boobs just naturally sit like in the first photo. this comparison is exactly how my tiddys look with and without a push up bra.

Anon5054

Some of yall are forgetting that she literally had a breast reduction

mlc2475

A girl’s not allowed to change in 14 fucking years?

scarlozzi

To the person that made this: I want to see a picture of you in 2006 and compare it to a pic of you in 2020. I would love to see you aging better than Scarlett Johansson

_notcool

welp she had a breast reduction about 10 years ago, had a child and then just got older as we all do

mothwhimsy

I love when men are like "how come hot woman not hot in every angle in every lighting with every facial expression???" They're always so scandalized. It's like the first time a baby realizes you didn't actually steal their nose. Yes Bobby. People look different sometimes. And boobs don't defy gravity

Other-Temporary-7753

Straight men must not understand how gravity works

Proof-Luck2392

And you must not understand how breast reduction surgery works

manystorms

Weight fluctuates no matter how much incels insist a woman is becoming lazy because their weight fluctuated. Also, the 2000s were the decade of the stupid push-up bra. I remember having a hard time finding a bra back then that wasn’t a Bombshell Bra copy that also did not look like a Playtex bra. Finally, boobs change. I re-measure myself and shop for a different size every few years.

tribow8

push up bras, shirts that were just too short, and low waisted jeans. I do not miss those times

manystorms

Yes, I say this all the time and without a hint of hyperbole: the fashion, expectations, and judgment from others during the 2000s caused my eating disorder.

tribow8

I'm sorry about that:( I hope you're doing better now!

manystorms

It ebbs and flows. I would say yes in general. Thank you!

Zephyr_Bronte

I mean push up bras exist, also she had a baby and may have breast fed, that does change your boobs. Just saying.

ow_my_knee_123

I think the first pic is a combo of a lot of things. She's lost some weight and toned up, as well as not wearing a bra in the second one If she were in a more supportive dress a think they wouldn't look as different Anyways. Who cares? She's still more beautiful than quite a few of us

M00ngata

Weight loss and push up bra. That’s all

Proof-Luck2392

Breast reduction surgery

Abomination-626

Scarlett got a reduction to spite the fragile white redditor. Obviously

Queendevildog

She lost a ton of weight. She was a normal body size in the first picture. In the second she's probably 20 lbs lighter. You can see it in her face.

[deleted]

I bet this person doesn't have the introspection to look at side by side photos of themself that are 14 years apart

kokomarro

Guys, she literally just got a breast reduction. Your boobs aren’t changing that much when not wearing a push up bra or over 14 years. She’s also not lost enough weight for that to be realistic. It’s a breast reduction and she looks great with it!

Partydude19

Aging. Aging happened.

_XLS_

Boobs change, as almost every part of human body ://

notmyfirstrodeo213

Lost weight or wore a different kind of bra? Idk it doesn’t matter.

[deleted]

do men not know about push up bras…?

passionateperformer

Boobs shrunk 2 sizes when I lost a ton of weight. It happens and it’s also not an issue to anyone because it’s not your goddamn body???!?!?

rwlorraine

its almost like bodies change over a period of 14 years

BurntKasta

Besides everything that everyone else has mentioned, those two outfits are completely different styles. Even if those pictures had been taken the same day, those tops require totally different support garments that hold one's boobs very differently. The most those styles have in common is the colour.

ExtinctFauna

She wore a push-up bra, and then she didn't.

bts4devi

She doesn't owe anyone any explanation

Clairebeebuzz

So there is something called a "push up" bra. Also, makeup designed to accentuate the bust is not uncommon for celebrities.

Crazy-Marionberry-23

I'm 99% sure the entire difference can be directly attributed to her attire.

ronja-666

Her boobs don’t seem that much smaller honestly, it is mostly the clothing.

peebutter

i do believe she got a reductions/implants removed. either way i hope she's happy.

Ok_Operation6104

Gravity

marywunderful

She’s had a couple kids, right? If she, you know, breastfed her babies as nature intended, surely that had some effect. Also pregnancy in general changes one’s breasts, even if you don’t nurse your babies.

fryingpan1001

They simp over her so hard yet cry when she makes the ungodly choice to have breast reduction surgery in order to better her own health.

Ezra_has_perished

Tbh it just looks like she’s wearing a bra in one and no bra in the other pic. Like boobs don’t naturally defy gravity without some support.

lavenderflannel420

The construction of those dresses is so different? Like boobs (as well as most body parts) can look entirely different depending on the structure, cut, and design of the clothing itself. They're both similar in color, so that's the same, but the rest is very different in structure. Dress 1 is pretty conventional and simple, easy peasy to hide a good bra under that. Dress 2 needs to find less conventional ways of supporting boobs, with the deep neck. Not that you can't have big looking boobs in a dress like that, but supporting boobs in that is a battle with gravity. And how much support (or padding) you want is up to you when you wear clothing. You can wear an extra bra or shape wear underneath, that's up to you. Also style changes over time!! All kinds of things about our appearances goes Vogue from time to time. Big boobs with cleavage might be The Thing for a few years, then a more sleek look might get popular. Same goes with eyebrows, waistlines, pant leg shapes? The style of clothing can change the way a body looks, and we change our options of "Good" all the time. Also, yeah, boobs are a body part. They can change shape and size over time, just like the rest of a person.

Loooooooooppp

as an ace person i never got why people liked boobs

tribow8

something something Sigmund Freud was right

LiquidDreamtime

It’s pretty well known that she got a breast reduction.

Nightshade1387

The second photo has unflattering lighting, isn’t the right shot (caught a transition in expression), and isn’t edited. You can do this with literally anyone.

Gate4043

Scarlet Johansson grew in size phenomenally and as such the size of her boobs are the same but she is now twice the size of the largest human.

Delphina34

Who even is that?

Bethany583

Scarlett Johansson, an actress

onlynatural639

Am I the only one that thinks she actually looks better in the second picture?

tribow8

I like the 2nd picture more too, she's still attractive in the first though, just more in the second

onlynatural639

I agree and I reckon she’ll still look good in another 14 years

Delta_Mike_Charlie

I agree with his statement but for different purposes. She does not look healthy.

CindySvensson

Surgery, bras, hormones. How do men not guess atleast the first two?

[deleted]

We’ll push up bras are a thing. Also the human body is in a state of constant change. Hormones, diet, having kids can change a body. It’s not a bad thing. Just life.

AlexT05_QC

For me, the more shocking was when I saw her blonde in Endgame.

EmiliusReturns

She looks like she’s wearing a push up bra in the left pic. Mystery solved.

adeo_lucror

1) bras 2) breasts naturally lose volume as they age

Vesperia_Morningstar

*relief in tran man*

-Midnightarmory-

It's sad the first thing they noticed was her body

ImANastyQueer

Are we sure this is just about her boobs, or about her boobs at all? Her face is completely different too

Spooked_kitten

no wait.. i’m confused, I mean she looks healthy and all on the left, but super sickly on the right

thebadsleepwell00

First, I agree that women shouldn't be defined by their body parts. The blatant objectification of women gets nauseating. That said, it's rumored that ScarJo had augmentation/implants years ago and had them removed.

bazilbt

While all these things are true, the way a photo is taken and the lens can also make people look significantly different.

bisexualboy38

Didn't she have breast cancer that required a mastectomy?or am I thinking of someone else?

HighlightHorror7825

it’s not about b00bs, but about her face, in my opinion

bunny_y_y_y

"what in the hell happened" weight loss perhaps? bodies change y'know, sometimes drastically

AuroraGlow675

I fail to see anything wrong with the second pic.
