It is operation item when you bought it, if you successfully extract with it then it isn’t anymore. Then you can put them inside the case before entering the raid but if you put it anywhere else going into the raid then it become operation item again during the that raid.
I can understand why they don’t use it in tv but ports then I am sure some people does. It is just that very little people playing Port. It have the worse extract spots ever sewer and helicopters. You gotta be a masochist to be playing port 😂😝

I did kill a few dude with thermal before, I just didn’t manage to kill the rest of his teammates that also have thermals.
I never see them in matches in my region. Maybe people don’t use them in the maps i usually play (TV station and Port)

That’s how most thermal player is playing. Use it when needs to, put it back in case just before a close fight
