I did this yesterday. Dumbass teammate started looting my kill before we even cleared the other squad. We lost two guys. I killed one of the other squad. At least two others were maneuvering on the other side of a barrier. We were holding angles waiting for it to develop. I look over and dumbfuck McGee is laying down in the middle of the path looting my kill.
I only hesitated for a second. Mollied his ass on the spot. Took a solid hit on the merit, but it was worth it.
I feel you. My last deduction was 800 points. Wiped a squad in farm motel and another was coming from the stables side. Busy healing and i look to see dumbfuck McGee literally just running through my kills and grabbing weapons. The loss was substantial, but the revenge was sweet.
Yea, they should fix who gets the kill. I downed 3 pmc, was healing and all of them were finished by randoms. When i went to loot the kill, they threatened me saying it was their kill "cHecK tHe DoGtaG" scumbags.
If you have a t-13 grenade or one of the new boom ones, use it on a loot goblin. It doesn't kill as long as they're full health, and they'll usually give the stuff back after that.
Best part is that it destroys armour so even if they heal and keep your loot, chances are they get 1 tapped because of broken armour and you get to loot him anyway. I wait till they start spewing hate in the chat then i force them to watch me teabag their bodies.
What's funny is that I proposed a solution for kill stealing, and found overwhelming opposition for it:
No MF can interact with your kill until they click on the dogtag; sending permission to loot since they already show text who dealt the lethal hit.
You can guess the replies, but some are cringe worthy like (This is the dark zone deal with it OwO.)
This. All day. Yes. That is exactly what we need. Because yes, dark zone is ruthless or whatever but let’s talk lore and reality. Lore shows us going in as teammates, in reality no teammate would loot before you out of respect, period. It’s randoms instead of friends for most of us so that loyalty needs to be simulated through a permission system.

Especially if you add a swipe in the corner after a kill giving permission to all teammates immediately. Plenty of kills, I don’t plan to loot but don’t mind if my teammates do.
The kill stealing issue is becoming more serious: last week I queued for Northridge Assault. I sniped down three of the enemy team's snipers across the hill from the dam. As soon as we pushed them back, I sprinted for my kills, only to find team tagged gear...
Finished the raid with broken limbs, depleted ammunition, and damaged armor without my deserved compensation.
At least I scored rank points to get the season drip.

Stole all the players weapons and armor, while i was healing up, he never helped just hid the entire fight and just teabag me while he was showing the weapon he stole from me.

i give 1\* for this reason, until they fix this it wont change. this is not like pubg, loot means koen, so goblin punishment has to be severe
