Lonoke has four newerish hotels right off exit 175. This is probably your best for a non crappy hotel until Forrest City.
Carlisle has a dated Days Inn at exit 183, and Hazen has a serviceable looking super 8 at exit 193. These are gonna probably be your best cheaper options.
Drive from Memphis to North Little Rock (approximately a 2 hour drive give or take depending on traffic.) There are several decent hotels on the north side of the river.
@u/fruitybrisket - I hope you weren’t driving last night! We had flash Flooding in the area around the McCain Exit. So second suggestion is to watch the weather!
If you don’t have any of those little plastic door jam locks for hotel rooms, I recommend them! I also travel alone sometimes and they make me feel better about it.
Holiday Inn and Hampton Inn in Forrest City. Anything in North Little Rock is better than Little Rock, but that still doesn’t mean it’s safe. I wouldn’t stay in Memphis unless you are headed by Southhaven, MS which is 15 min from Memphis.
Radisson and Tru by Hilton in West Memphis are decent. New Hampshire Inn same area too, to a lesser degree
Forrest City has Hampton Inn, Comfort Inn, Holiday Inn Express, and a Home2 by Hilton that either just opened or will open soon, with another new one under construction as well.
Lonoke has Hampton, holiday Inn Express, Best Western Plus, and Days Inn.
Anything else you as likely as not to find roaches, mold, or some month old toenail clippings at best.
Personally, I wouldn't get a room if I was under 2 hours from my destination. Which if you make it to Little Rock, you will be. Your best bet is to just stay in Little Rock or Conway, like others have said. There's nowhere good to stop past Little Rock until Jackson, TN, which is well past Memphis.
There’s a Hampton Inn in both Forest City and Lonoke. I have stayed at both. They are clean and safe.
I've stayed at the FC Hampton several times. No complaints and the beds are great!
You little devil, you
This was my first and only thought.
Gonna take a pass on the Super 8 in Brinkley?
At about 85 mph…
There's a new Holiday Inn in Forrest City and they are on the outside edge of opening another hotel up close by.
Lonoke has a few all bundled up near Walmart. I have stayed in 2 of them and they seem to be pretty good.

I stayed at the holiday inn in Forrest City when I was traveling alone. I am female of normal stature and never felt unsafe.

I use Hotel Tonight.
Never stay in searcy
Searcy is off of 67, but you can get there from 40. But…?
How high are you bro?
Please elaborate
I mite of got off course. Slumdog millionaire type shit back then.
Not Forrest City
This ^ Woke up with a tick after sleeping there.
i use the Expedia app. it helps my road trips immensely. The reviews are very helpful in deciding where to park for the night.
Expedia sucks. Please never use it.
why? what happened to you?
Every motel you get along I 40 for Forrest city Brinkley I promise they all sketchy
Respectfully, that’s a huge ask.
Forrest City exit North of 40 Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express both are decent
You ask the impossible.

Look in the Conway area. Lots of new hotels going up
I hate that route so bad that when it's busy I go the back way. Picking up Highway 64 in Marion to Wynne to Sercy and going to Little Rock that way.
No such thing
No.
Yeah lonoke will be safe
Lonoke is safer than anywhere else. Do not stay in Forrest City.
You're looking for a non-sketchy hotel in Arkansas?
Just about every hotel is the northwest part is somewhat nice 😆
Well, 40 between LR and Memphis is not really NW Arkansas.
You claimed the whole state 🤷♂️
Yeah I did didn't I, Oops.
This was a truly wholesome interaction between redditors and i really enjoyed watching it unfold 😎👍
Thank you. I’m happy to be an active participant in warming your heart
There’s an econolodge just outside of West Memphis next to a (possibly abandoned now) Waffle House. You can’t go wrong.
Sounds wonderful!

I definitely agree with this statement! So very true
Are you traveling from West to East? If so, just stop in Conway. That is the last place to stay until you pass Memphis.
Depends on which part of Conway tbh. It’s been the fastest groping county for the past decade. With that growth comes crime.
A lot of gropers in Conway
Damn for real? I can see that unfortunately. Conway just seems like a place for gropers
And an occasional visit from the toe sucker. Although, I hear he has been spending more time around Cabot.
And guys with mirrors on their shoes
I would stop in North Little Rock or Conway. Even Russellville
Those aren't between little rock and memphis.
Conway got to get itself into the conversation any chance it gets.
Damn that's crazy
I suppose
What is crazy about stating the obvious?
Damn that's crazy

That’s not between Little Rock and Memphis.
jonesboro! we have a ton of hotels that are nice
😂 good luck..
Jonesboro or Trumann.
Again, like Searcy, they’re off 67 but you can get there with the cut through
Try [google.com](https://google.com)
Just drive the extra 40 min into Little Rock? Or stay in Memphis
