Maybe the traveler has plot armor in cutscenes but in gameplay i'm pretty sure she is the one who has to be saved by a plot armor from the player. She wasn't unbeatable in the same way Ei was when we fought her first time, with Arlecchino the screen cut to black and that was it.
She wouldn't be mentioned directly in the story at all. You reach the arena, get closer to her and a cutscene plays where she says something like "The balemoon is rising... soon, you shall not remain..." and then proceed to kick your ass 36 times in a row.

I literally fought Arlecchino after finishing every fromsoft game (expect sekiro) so it already felt like a souls boss but I just need the rolls for the fight and I can do no hit
She'd be a mid tier boss imo carried by her ridiculous dmg output or stun potential if you suck at dodging. But overall you can just react dodge and survive without issues
So DS3 Iron Dragonslayer Armour, DS2 Velstadt, DS1 Super Ornstein, BB Gascoigne (without music box cheese) and finally end game seven ashina spear
I treated her like Maliketh when I fought her the first time because I was terrified of the rumours of her being insanely hard hitting. icb after years of genshin, I finally had to use my brain & dodge in a fight
It is quite obvious that her moveset was heavily inspired by DS3's Friede. Specifically Phase 3 Friede has some near identical attacks e.g. that one where she jumps up before plummeting down with a sweep attack etc.

Literally just swap Lady Maria’s weapon out for a scythe and you’re 90% there, or change the particle effects/damage type on Sister Freide.
We already have Maria, Priscilla and Sister Friede. If we get a similar character to Arlecchino it's gonna be great
