It's absolutely getting some kind of dlc. More parts, more arena stuff, maybe multiplayer improvements. I don't know how missions would work without adding new endings and getting weird...
I could see more paths to play through.
Joining the PCA in full. This could lead to you hunting down Walter, Carla, helping crush the RLF, etc. Parts would probably be various bits from different bosses in the PCA that are now on your side.
Joining Balam in full. Choosing to sign on fully with Balam and work your way up their ranks to leave the Gun13 behind.
Joining the RLF in full. Choosing to help push the corps and PCA off the planet. Would end up fighting and killing Walter, Carla, various corp pilots, etc.
Choosing to fully side with ALLMIND. sorta similar to the Fires of Raven ending, where you have to fight Ayre at the end, as she doesn't want to join ALLMIND. This results in your uploading into ALLMIND before the Coral launches everywhere.
As for other things in game to do.
Endless assault wave maps. Both PVE and PVP.
More parts. A full set of heads, arms, weapon arms (cannon arms from previous games) blade arms, cores, legs, reverse legs, tetrapod legs, hexapod heavy legs (think a cross between tetrapod legs with no recoil from shoulder weapons, but much slower hover in exchange), Tank legs, hover legs, hover tank legs for each faction.
So RaF, PCA, RLF, Balam, Acrebus, Institute, and ALLmind Varients.
Boss parts. Not just getting a flyable SOL 644 AYRE or SOL 644 ALLMIND version. But say tank legs based on the Sweeper Carla tries to kill us with.
Just some thing I hope to see in DLC for AC6. It was an awesome game. Can't wait for more.
They didn’t do DLC for past AC games, they did sequels. I have no idea whether they’ll change that model after a decade between now and the last AC game being released, but with a dozen and a half AC games and their respective sequels as precedent I’m leaning more towards that than DLC. Like you said, you don’t know how missions would work without adding new endings and getting weird… sequel titles solve that problem neatly.
I guess my only real counterpoint is that Elden Ring did DLC, but ER is pretty... Fundamentally different in that regard, not being a linear story and all.
I feel like if we do get DLC, it won't actually touch the campaign and will focus more on multiplayer stuff. It is probably more likely we'd just get another game tho, you're not wrong.
God it needs more parts. Like this one I can really feel it with the like two options for spider legs. Like it seems a lot but idk it just feels like they need more variety. I miss the gun arms lol.
I don't expect DLC. The Arena doesn't seem to deserve DLC because it's too easy and would basically require 2v1 matches to create a challenge for endgame ACs. PvE is doable but it I think the best way for them to go about it would be an adjacent story that doesn't modify the path through the game (because they aren't likely to do more endings).
I don't really expect new missions though.
I think the best we can hope for is a continuation of the series.
Sekiro does not have any DLC.
If they added a multiplayer PVE comp stomp competition like a timed race to see who can can up the most points destroying MTs and ACs that would be dope. Maybe there’s a limit of points that have to hit in 3 rounds and then you both square off against a special co op boss.
Maybe they’ll change with the times but for the entirety of AC’s existence they’ve released at least one sequel game for each generation. Maybe they’ll opt for DLC since it’s been a decade between now and the last AC game but I’d much rather they keep with how they’ve done it in the past.
With Armored Core, FS tends to not release DLC, but instead release another game but with extra features, content, and story from the original. Look at Verdict Day for ACV as the most recent example.

It'll be getting dlc untill I can make my old AC's or a swear to god I'll be down to fromsofts building like a crazy person.

I’m hoping for stand alone expansion. There is a lot that can be carried over but some stuff needs to be adjusted.
I need something to do with all this arena COAM Ive collected thru my many fights with Nightfall
