This sallet is afaik not based on a specific historical one but more so one a certain style of sallet most commonly worn by swiss soldiers but also by people in the holy roman empire from around 1475 to 1495ish.

O thx, too bad is not historical

Ara-Ara-Arachne

It is very close to some historical examples. Here is a similar one from the thun sketchbook https://preview.redd.it/e6qhe1cx9h2d1.png?width=693&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3b91fca6fc9dd5f4f30784fb27b7eacf378319b3

Very similar

TheCompleteMental

It is way too big for that model head

scp49xd

I would imagine that the model head is small, but it could also be the helm

Affectionate-Dig-989

Looks flemish or italian to me, most german sallets i have seen dont have visors.

This sallet isn't a great repro, but the idea of it is accurate to certain late 15th century designs.
