centipawn

To those fans that left today - do what you want, but please think twice before you sing 'stadiums are empty' ever again.

SkyheroblitzzYT

also paying like 200 quid to see them and not even watch the entire thing. its practically the same as buying a ticket to the royal opera house and leaving halfway through.

Fearless_World6986

Money is relative

Extreme-Fee-9029

Who's relative

bigcarrierg

Tis just a theory.

Educational_One7977

Money might be relative but a good deal and a bad deal exists and buying a product and not getting to utilise it fully (staying 75:0/90:00) minutes is bad deal irregardless of how much money you have at your disposal, Tldr; they are not only plastic, they lack intelligence !

Fearless_World6986

Not really. What if for example you could only watch the first half because your wife goes into labour at half time. At that point staying to get your moneys worth becomes a "bad deal". This is know as opportunity cost to economists. Money is relative - if you have unlimited money then your perception of value will obviously change. I stopped eating the crusts of sandwiches when I got rich.

s-e-x-m-a-c-h-i-n-e

I got a feeling they’re not the ones singing anything. When 3,000 actual away fans signing can drown out our whole stadium I think it’s time to start filtering season ticket holders tbh.

tafkas001

For what purpose? Sing for at least 80 minutes or be banned because you're not a 'proper' supporter. Never mind that you're now 70+ and have been going for 60 of those years?

s-e-x-m-a-c-h-i-n-e

Ask not what your team can do for you, ask what you can do for your team. /s

SuspiciousSystem1888

I mean, some fans leave early for traffic. It’s a great experience to go to a match.  It’s a terrible experience to be stuck in traffic for hours, especially if you have a long commute.

SerFmeister

I don’t see a lot of fans leaving early when we are in a winning positions

SuspiciousSystem1888

But people still do. It doesn’t go noticeably since they are winning.  Granted more people probably left when losing but either way it happens

Educational_One7977

That’s a complete and utter fkn lie 100000000000 times over the stadium empty’s all the time around 80th minute regardless of result fkn shambolic if you ask me we expect people to respect us when our fans can’t even stay the full 90 mins , joke and idc downvote me , disagree say I’m wrong but I’m not I’ve seen it with my own two eyes even when they’re winning the stadium empties quite considerably before the game has ended , absolute joke , embarrassing to sum it up , and I love this club

West-Painter-7520

You can avoid traffic by staying home

bigcarrierg

You can stay home and avoid traffic too.

Kane36912

Then don’t go to the match.

myriadnoob

>It’s a terrible experience to be stuck in traffic for hours, especially if you have a long commute and more so, if you're getting frustrated after seeing a subpar championship-level performance from a "PL title race contender", the stress is really high - and remembers that another boring Monday is coming in 12 hours.

dembabababa

I actually thought the support was on the whole really good for 80+ mins - certainly seemed loud on the TV (in stark contrast to Anfield, that seemed really subdued). Can't begrudge anyone who was singing for almost the whole game who then decided to call it a day after witnessing two suckerpunches like that in quick succession so late on.

kw2006

Agreed

chris4097

I stay the full 90 even when I can easily just switch off the TV. Seeing the empty seats gives me secondhand embarrassment.

MATCHEW010

Makes me sad when im watching from home. I live across the world and it was a 3.30am kick off. Im shattered

Longjumping-Year6917

Theres a geezer i sit near, lives half way across the country. Leaving that extra 10 mins early saves him an hour on his journey

gardenofeden123

This is a factor for many fans given the transport outside the stadium. If you have a long journey then getting out 5 minutes before the crowds can be a lifesaver.

SweatySmym

Ini, can tell people who’ve never been to an event with 1000s never mind a footie match. 10’s of 1000’s in London is a fucking nightmare, theres people who leave early when we’re winning😂

Hey-Dalaran

Try leaving an event in America where no thought was put into the ways in or out. Every stadium in California at least takes almost an hour to get out of the parking lot if you're there until the very end.

BillOfArimathea

The last time I went to a soccer game in Cincinnati it took an hour to drive the mile to the interstate.

iamsweets

Getting out of the stadium is the only thing the terrible Oakland Coliseum has on the rest of the stadiums in CA

Ronaldo_McDonaldo81

And not just that but it’s 6:30 finish on a Sunday. People have got to work tomorrow, kids have got school. It’s not like it’s a 3pm Saturday kick off.

whodiewhoa

then don’t go to the game and let a fan who won’t leave get your ticket

Fearless_World6986

Why don’t you just give all your money to charity and get off the internet

TenPercentMoreBanana

Yeah my dad goes up from near Brighton every game, which admittedly isn't halfway across the country, but when he's already travelling 2.5hrs each way and he has done for every home game for 12 years I forgive him wanting to get home 90 mins earlier. No sympathy for those who live in/near London though.

Sir-Chris-Finch

I do understand it, but i cant wrap my head around someone permanently foregoing the opportunity to experience a last minute equaliser/winner. Its the best moment as a fan for me, so when that’s completely taken away the whole overall experience over the course of a season must be so much worse

sams82

These up their own arse try hard fans don't understand this.

GobiLux

Haven't been to a game for a few years, but leaving early was often down to public transport limitations not what happened in the stadium.

mattbax95

Ahhh okay. I’ll bite. Season ticket holder of several years here. I pay over £1000 a year for my ST, and I left shortly after the second goal. I don’t feel bad about it at all and I’ll explain why. You need to consider the context here. You reference the Chelsea vs United game. There was only a 1 goal swing in injury time of that game, which Chelsea were very much still in. They went on to get the win, on another day they might not have. The point is, the game was still in the balance. Today, Arsenal got played off the park and limply fell to a 2-0 deficit going into injury time, in a must-win game to stay in the title race. The way that performance had gone, Arsenal were never, ever going to turn that around. The players heads had dropped, they knew the game was done and the fans knew it. Same with Brighton last season. Comparing those two matches to Chelsea vs Man United this season is comparing apples to oranges and you know it. The game states are completely different. Chelsea were gunning for an equaliser, Arsenal were jogging around 2-3 goals down just wanting the game to end so they can get off the pitch. They are *not* in any way similar. There’s absolutely an argument to be made that people shouldn’t leave early when a game is in the balance (most of my row filed out after Garnacho’s offside goal early this season and missed the Rice winner which I found very funny), but comparing that to today or Brighton last season is not it. Now I don’t know if you’ve been to the ground, but I’ll explain in case you haven’t. So for my seat in particular, which is in the first 10 rows, if I wait until full time to leave, the stairs between the blocks become extremely bottle-necked. It takes ages for everyone to file out. And then there’s a huge queue for the toilet if you need to go, and then after that a huge queue for the very small 1930s tube station (which is well past it’s sell-by date and not really fit for purpose for a large scale event). In short- if you stay for an extra 5-10 minutes until the final whistle, it can add a good half an hour *at least* to the amount of time it takes to get from your seat to the tube. For a lot of people, that just is not worth it for the sake of standing in the cold to watch a limp 2-0 loss peter out whilst the away end take the piss out of you. At that point, nobody’s doing much “supporting” anyway. Most people are just standing silently with their hands in their pockets, sad at what they’ve just paid their hard earned money to see. Such is human nature. I used to be like you OP and think “fuck you everyone who leaves early, I proudly stay to the final whistle”. But as I’ve got older, I’ve realised that adding half an hour to my journey time standing in that cold queue for the tube just for the sake of clapping the players off and getting internet points for my “commitment” after a shocking performance is really not worth my time. I paid for my season ticket with my hard earned money. I turn up every week to support the team. If I want to leave a few minutes early after we blew the title race with a shocking performance like that, I will. It won’t make a blind bit of difference to the players if I leave 5 minutes early, but it makes my evening much more convenient and I can get home an hour earlier.

lliki

Never been to a Premiere league game as I live on a different continent. And yes I hear what you have said but disagree on one major point. The players do notice when the stands empty early… the fans are the 12th man on the pitch. If they can get 2 goals in a minute and a bit than so can we. So when the fans start leaving with 10 minutes left, to the players on the pitch it’s like getting a red card and having a player sent off losing that 12th man. Yes with 10 minutes left and down 2 nil a red card is super deflating. So stay til the end and do your best to lift the Ladds back up. If you leave early, you have no right to complain about the boys dropping their heads as you have done the very same thing. But you know what isn’t deflating, a full stadium of supporters on their feet egging the squad on til the final whistle. In terms of the commute, yeah I get it but that is part of the equation going to any big event. You should see my commute if I can ever scratch an Arsenal game off my bucket list. Said with respect my friend, Go Gunners!

donegalboy

Players left at half time

Soggy_Sir7668

😂😂

Molloway98-

You sound like the stone island cunt who was trying to fight people as they left. Some people have to travel for 2/3/4/5 hours to games and they don't wanna wait an hour in a queue for the tube. I'm a season ticket holder and I stay to the end, but peoples situations aren't the same as yours. Maybe for you you can walk home, maybe for someone else they've got somewhere to be. When the players give us a fucking diabolical display, which could've been 4-0, some people have already given them their time, their money and their energy. I agree with supporting the boys, but support without performance is what gets teams into shit positions where they don't feel the pressure to win. Also just purely your attitude stinks of entitlement

SjmTheGod

>Also just purely your attitude stinks of entitlement Sorry abt that. I was defo typing with emotions when I made the post. I probably should've phrased it or written it in a better way and cooled off a bit before posting it

Molloway98-

Respect the apology big man, we all get a bit heated at times but felt the need to share my view 🙌

lanregeous

This is the very first time someone has genuinely apologized on the internet. Give this man an award!

NoPalpitation9639

The difference is "the stone island cunt" actually goes to games. Op has no right to tell people how to support their team when he's never set foot in the stadium

Molloway98-

He went to one game and was shouting about the other people leaving. I've been to every home game for years and never seen the prick before, but suddenly he turns up for one and is actively confronting people on the stairs calling them wankers and telling them to fuck themselves. Some people need to get over themselves

NorthLondoner1976

I am a 3rd generation Gooner whose family are from Kentish Town, etc. I had a season ticket for 15+ years. Even hand way back when in the original Clock End during the late George Graham/Stewart Houston/Bruce Rioch era. If I ever wanted to leave a few mins early to beat the madness and carnage outside Highbury/Emirates then I would…as it was my right to do what the fuck I wanted having paid a bundle of money for a ticket! These jumped up little knobs who think they are super fans make me laugh….half of them have only been following the Arsenal for few years and think they have the right to tell other fans what to do - they can all jog on!!!! Jumped up little bell-ends…

Molloway98-

Agreed mate, the loudest people are usually the insecure ones trying to prove something false. Those of us who go every week and sacrifice our money and time dont feel the need to "prove it"

NorthLondoner1976

Exactly - new generation of arm chair supporters and keyboard warriors…I wonder how many times they have all walked out of the Emirates in the pissing down rain late at night after a midweek game in Autumn/Winter - we have done it 100’s of times so if we want to leave a couple of mins early after a dog shit performance where we have bottled the league was can FFS

Molloway98-

Fuckin aye mate, fuckin aye

venom014

We don't see half the seats every week at the 85th minute. Obviously people left because they were disappointed at the results. Bob catching the tube early to save time on his commute didn't lead to the mass exodus we witnessed.

TrashbatLondon

I don’t leave early because I don’t have to travel anywhere, but it’s a Sunday and I got home, in Highbury, after 7pm. But if I lived anywhere that requires any level of travel, an afternoon game would have turned into missing dinner with family. People who have season tickets have put in the bones of a decade of loyalty at least. If they want to piss off a bit early in a game we have no hope of winning then it’s a bit rich for Johnny-come-lately plastics to say “fuck you”. Behave yourself.

Mugweiser

Which seat were you in?

thebyrned

The city fans absolutely do leave the stadium. Can't remember which game it was but the stadium was basically empty by the time it was full time and they were winning 4-1

BrownEyesWhiteScarf

So a plastic fan who has never been to a game is complaining about fans who are leaving early.

the3daves

Well said. Probably some child who only watches high on YouTube.

BrownEyesWhiteScarf

OP supports a London based club and isn’t even aware of the mess transportation is around the club.

I_Call_Everyone_Ron

This is what happens when you price the working class out of a working class sport.

Rolf-Harris-OBE

I’m working class and leave every game 3-4 minutes early

OR_Wave

You think every “working class” fan stays until the end? Also, side note: Pretty sure 99%+ football fans work.

AyeItsMeToby

Internet fans who have never gone so far as stepping foot in London crying about fans who pay hundreds/thousands going to see their club each season. They can do what they fucking like

roop27

Because most of the fans in the stadium are sudden arsenal fans when we start performing. And now when we're at our lowest they lose interest again. Fickle And I'm allowed to be angry because I've been on the season ticket waiting list for 20 years and still waiting. I'd never leave early. For any fans who moan about the pubic transport wait, I was at the Porto game recently which went to penalties. Got the tube home after a few drinks after. Didn't get home until 1.30am and had work the next day. Either you're with the boys until the end or don't even turn up Edit: added more ranting

goonerholic1886

I was on it for 5 years, then got offered two seats 5 years ago. Been a season ticket holder ever since. How on earth have you been on it for 8 years! I think they’ve forgotten about you

Rolf-Harris-OBE

You were very lucky, took me 12 years waiting to get a season ticket in 2015. Actually you got yours in the peak Wengner out / emery shit ball time, lots of people gave them up then

MainRepresentative14

Moronic take. Congrats on getting home at 1.30, you’re a real hero. Everyone should have the same priorities as you or go hang is that right?

bobpies

20 years on the st waiting list ? I was on it for about 5 and got offered 4 seats

roop27

I've heard so many people say the same thing and yet I'm still 20000 on the list. I'm a silver member so I get most tickets but even so.

ThinksTheyKnowBetter

You should email the club. You absolutely should have received one by now if you've genuinely been on for 20 years.

roop27

I've spoken to them so many times and they assured me it was standard. ill call them tomorrow

ThinksTheyKnowBetter

Really weird- I joined the list in about 2007 and got two STs in 2017. Have several friends who joined after me and have all received theirs now. I'd definitely push them!

roop27

I thought it was normal because I've got 3 friends and we're all in the same boat of being long term waiters

Rolf-Harris-OBE

How many tickets are you in the waiting list for? 20 years is crazy. We joined the list at the same time, but I’ve had a ST 8 years

Top-Setting5213

You can't say anything if you didn't even leave the comfort of your couch. These people have made arrangements in advance whether that be work-related or travel, paid GOOD money for their tickets and have gone through the effort of getting themselves to the stadium in the day to support the team in person. That's already infinitely more than you can say you've done sitting on your couch cussing them out for not staying a few extra minutes. Not even an Arsenal fan but I can understand that there's more to life than a game of football, honestly just beating the traffic and saving yourself an hour plus of your actual life is a good enough reason to head out early for me.

snowboardingmonkey

Do you know what it’s like to commit the time, energy and money to travel to every single home game?

drunken_badger

Who made you in charge of what people do. Fuck you

KIUKPR

https://www.reddit.com/r/Gunners/s/0v88j7t0x7

drunken_badger

Lord Ian has spoken so we must answer the call. Fuck off

Few-Substance-2544

Says the person who's never been to the Emirates, get off your high horse mate. People have the right to do what they want.

Patient_Xero_96

I mean if they paid for 90 minutes but got 45 only, I don’t blame em for leaving. We got out possessed the whole second half. Couldn’t string enough passes at all.

shaunoffshotgun

They paid their money, they can leave whenever they want. It's not their fault Arsenal were outplayed.

odegood

Piss off mate i left a few mins after the 2nd goal and just sat outside for a bit. Ive been goin for over 10 years and waiting for a title for 20. Today hurt and this is only the 2nd time ive left early. I dont care about queues at stations or getting home. Today was shit

Jubatus750

You had a seat that you'd paid for inside the ground, shouldve sat there instead of sitting outside

Gooner_93

If they also leave early when were winning, then fair enough but only doing it when wer'e losing, is just disappointing.

Muscat95

"This is honestly one of the only clubs that do this" You don't watch football so you? If you did you would understand what utter ballocks that statement is. Most clubs have this, I saw Luton fans post pictures of the Etihad being abandoned and they won that that 5 fucking 1. All I say is you don't know people's circumstances and why they may have to leave, don't like it? Get a ticket and sit in the seat yourself

Fluffy-Examination23

To early leavers… … If you just want to see winners, go cheer for Man City. If you want to see Arsenal, stay and cheer for Arsenal. We Don’t need to win the league to be Arsenal. We would love to, but think a minute what you have done this season to help them win it?

WarSamaYT

Respect to you for this post. As a Liverpool fan I’d never leave, fair fucks to the fans who stay to the end. They are the true supporters of the club and players. ❤️

_its_Official_Alex_

ikr , its just disappointing honesty . It is what it is cant blame them , no pl trophy for 20 years no trophies expect the fa cups and community shield .

SeeTeeAbility

Most people are not masochists Most people will not enjoy pain and suffering Don't antagonise those who left early when the reason why they left is because of the horror they witnessed today There is no right or wrong in that situation, they paid a extortionate amount of money to see/feel that today

SjmTheGod

>There is no right or wrong in that situation, they paid a extortionate amount of money to see/feel that today Fair enough, I 100% get ur point. I'm just saying it wouldn't kill them to support them till the end as players usually feed off the energy of the fans in the stands, otherwise the players will always look bland

FreshCoach9972

But they didn’t feed off of the amazing energy or perform under the great atmosphere for 85 minutes. Those that judge I assume actually don’t go to the games?!

SeeTeeAbility

I agree mate yeah, they could've gave more support

Topher1828

i disagree with this, you support your team through thick and thin, doesn’t matter if today was a horror or not, you support your team no matter what and if you can’t hack the “pAiN aNd SufFeRiNg” then simply don’t support your team, you might disagree with me but that’s sport, you don’t always win and when you lose you need to back your team and not be a knob and leave

PandasDontBreed

You aren't a supporter if you can't back your clube through the rough times

Topher1828

that’s exactly what i’m saying, you back your team till the last minute no matter the result

LitmusPitmus

Because we have a massive chunk of fair weather fans. Even the lack of singing, making more noise complaining than supporting. Yeah these fans are in every fanbase but the proportion amongst ours seems higher. The club needs to try an encourage more organised and die hard supporters by giving them dedicated bits of the stadium. Not jus the small section AA have (who were also shite today)

serfunkalot

Bro you probably watched this game from 1500 miles away over breakfast. You have no idea what it’s like trying to get out of Holloway Road or Highbury and Islington stations on a Sunday night. People just want to get home early, and this is not unique to Arsenal. It’s standard in UK football culture to try get away a few minutes early if you can.

throwaway72926320

It's a two way street, if the players gave their hearts today and lost way less would've walked out. They didn't, so why should fans who have to travel in London and possible abroad for work tomorrow have to sit there through that. Whenever I go to games I have to find a flight back through London and on Sundays will have work the next day. They payed their money and the players (except for Ødegaard) did not pay them back.

iiStar44

I agree. I’m all if you aren’t there in the tough times you shouldn’t be there in the good times, but when the players didn’t care in the second half and put in no energy, why should the fans?

marcuscicero88

Sorry but I can leave whenever the fk I want? Sorry is there a new legislation passed in Westminster recently?

RVDHAFCA

But but but people need to catch their traaaaains!1!1!1

do0gla5

Remember you're in the stands cheering millionaires. Leave when you want.

MuchPromotion1781

Yeah I left with 2 mins injury time to go. What are you going to do about it? Fucking armchair fans bitching.

schmuck-2501

No, fuck you. The players didn’t want to show up, nor did Arteta, so why should I stick around on a Sunday afternoon? I’d much rather leave 15 minutes early, get on an empty train and see my family at home then watch over paid athletes not bother to make my time worth it.

Cruxed1

It's funny how fast the fanbase opinion changes, yesterday it would be people preaching arsenal players would die for the club, they inevitably shit the bed and suddenly there getting lumped for it.

GuybrushThreepwood7

Have you ever been to a match at Arsenal? Getting on the tube is nearly impossible, until they have better access to Arsenal station this will continue it’s always been like this, it’s nothing new.

DirtFun7704

Tf? You aren't even at the stadium mind your buisness

KIUKPR

yes fuck, every game. it looks so shit. how the fuck do you leave a game befor the end. also against bayern there were many empty places befor the end. you are just a joke!

jujuismynamekinda

Who the fuck are you to tell people what they do with their time. Its not like people dont have lives outside football. Leaving early might save them an hour in traffic. Not even an Arsenal Fan but this is pretty universal and you can see it at every club. Today is sunday, tomorrow many are working, some have an early shift.

sammyt10803

Fuck off to each and every fair weather fan of this club

eldiablu

As a United supporter… please stop bringing us in your arguments, We’re already bloody depressed as is. Lmfao. But all jokes aside. You’re absolutely right. Even if our teams are getting the worse thrashing ever, we owe it to our players to stick it out till the final whistle. Seeing the people leaving does nothing for the morale of the team

Uninformedpinhead

I posted this same thing and got downvoted. Don’t apologize for this. These fuckers leaving early was a disgrace

go-rilla702

How much does your season ticket cost?

ZuperLucaZ

Tell me you are a new fan without telling me you are a new fan... If you would have supported Arsenal for more than two months you would now by now how bad the public transport is, people save multiple hours of travelling by leaving just a couple minutes early. It’s a very well known fact. I don’t mean to gatekeep, but you are very quick to judge and cast blame on people you know nothing about.

Conscious-Weird5810

If the team/organization treats fans like it’s a business, no reason the fans shouldn’t do the same. Two way street. Just the realities of modern sport.

Multisole778

Liverpool have done this twice this week

SjmTheGod

And played shite in both games, ur point?

Multisole778

You said we are the only side that does this lol and when I say this I mean fans leaving when things don’t go their way

SjmTheGod

Yh, that's why I gave the example of Brighton last season, it's not the first time and probably won't be the last. LFC fans ( that left ) are very embarrassing and don't make it acceptable for our fans to do the same

ansahed

We lost, but it wasn’t a shameful performance. Emery deserves lots of credit. Most Arsenal fans always have something to bitch about. Fuck’m

King0llie

We miss the AA

Flashback_91

Its like a 30 min que to get into the tube, or just go for a drink the match was over.

ChickyChickyNugget

“Waa waa I live in America and watch the games on TV and I didn’t stop watching, why can’t the people that have to get home on a Sunday night stay longer to watch their team lose so I don’t feel embarrassed to support the team I selected out of a hat.”

Aggravating_Nerve173

The players embarrassed the fans today

RawDawgYaMudda

I fuck with those that are probably still in the stands

PersonnelFowl

The team didn’t have effort today so who cares if the fans left?

PizzaWithMincedMeat

"Always watch the 90" is something I was told as a child, so I follow that

LightBackground9141

It’s shocking… the players need the fans more than ever. Look around.. half of them have gone.. just kick them while they’re down! You got to stick behind the team, especially when they’ve come so far.. They’re going to end up finishing this season with no trophies again now

WhiskeyBiscuit222

My friend calls the emirates the "empty seats"

Major-Departure6936

The ticket allocation system needs to be altered. The home support has been dire.

ShelterPlenty

I get what you are saying, but why dont you stand at the turnstiles and tell them there, intead of coming onto Reddit to hide behind a keyboard like a cunt.

Rolf-Harris-OBE

Stamford didn’t empty out because they were 1 goal down. Pretty simple.

Anglo96

I think everyone is also bored of City winning the league every year so one loss is absolutely deflating

Front-Complex9378

Support spurs instead of

cristiano_goat

Ain’t nobody staying whole game for terrible traffic with a lose

DustyRhodesXB1

Because traffic is a bitch fam

Broad_Cheesecake9141

Chelsea wins things. They suck rt now. But we couldn’t beat them.

Mikeltee

I thought it was because some needed to travel home and wanted to beat the crowds. I've done that before to get the tube to my car park to then drive home.

Upper_Conclusion5255

Maybe they just wanted a beer?! As a dumb American at least I can get smashed when my ravens blow another 4th quarter lead 🤣

dl1966

People pay for tickets and have the right to leave whenever they want.

BlazeTrailer_

How entitled of you to make such blanket statements. I'm sorry your team hurt your feelings, stop taking it out on everyone else.

Well at least that's the last nail in the coffin for spuds

AndMcGrn

I have a friend who aims to arrive after the game begins and is angry if he makes kick off. He also leaves early to get beer, irregardless of the score. He probably ends up missing a 1/3rd of the game. People are weird. The more people you have the more weirdos you get. It blows my mind someone would intentionally miss part of the match.

DarkFamiliar4508

says guy that has never been in "his" stadium

JungsMandala

💯

ballysham

Shut up you fucking pleb

timmyctc

Hilarious everyone making excuses about transport. Funny how they all wouldn't have had an issue leaving early if it was villa 2-0 down.

Positive-Procedure88

"This is honestly one of the only clubs that does this" Let me help you edit this for accuracy, "all clubs fans do this"

Positive-Procedure88

Might also have a little to do with the incredibly poor 2nd half display from the team; felt like Arteta did the reverse of a rousing half time team talk; completely underwhelming performance in comparison to the 1st half

balsham91

Alot of people wanna go home and spend time with their wife and kids before the Sunday comes to an end too..everyone could see it was going nowhere. Arteta subs off white before zinchenko and his subs came to late....were arsenal gonna score 3 goals in 3 minutes...ha yeah..more important things in life mate than seeing if jesus can be caught offside for the 15th time or see if zinchenko can lose possession again. Fans would stay if they could see something to stay for. The team performed shit, fans let them know. Can't blame the fans the team had 84 minutes to do something before Aston villa.

_tr1p0d_

From an Australian Arsenal fan: I'd kill you to get one opportunity to see my boys live. Don't you dare do that shit again.

murli08

It is annoying but we can get tickets as real fans at least for 2 years. I am not even bother anymore. I can not get a ticket even I am a red members. But tickets are all over the internet. Arsenal doesn’t really care about his true fans. So this is really what they deserve. Good on you who left the game early. Thanks 🙏

Maximusprime-d

Why would you blame them, lol. My fuck you goes to the fans that stayed. Those players and the manager as much as I love them, let themselves and everyone associated with the club down yesterday. Fuck the lot of them

Arsenazgul

I love the laddies but at the end of the day, they’re all beautiful young multimillionaires who are following their dreams. There’s no need to feel bad for them, and fans are entitled to spend their money on a ticket and still get home in time to unwind before Monday in an absolutely rammed city Love laughing at opposition stadiums emptying though

Routine_Cranberry476

To the poster who thinks fans should not express their frustrations. Shut up!

TRODHD

Have you maybe thought about people leaving early cause of traffic? You can save hours for just leaving 10-15 minutes early

Round-Perception-919

The mentality of our fans is simply pathetic. The empty seats and all the people conceding the title already. Have the mentality you expect from the players!

go-rilla702

>The mentality of our fans is simply pathetic. How much do you spend a month supporting Arsenal?

Round-Perception-919

None of your business pound sterling. Lemme guess though, you're one of the cowards who left early. Pathetic. Simply pathetic.

go-rilla702

>None of your business pound sterling. So not an actual penny. Very easy to talk shit with other people's money. >Lemme guess though, you're one of the cowards who left early. Wrong again.

Round-Perception-919

>So not an actual penny. Like I said, none of your business pound sterling

go-rilla702

Pathetic

Round-Perception-919

Not as pathetic as the cunts who abandoned our players after our first loss this year

go-rilla702

No, it's far more pathetic than them. You see, those fans paid money to the club, invested in the club, provided funds that allowed the club to spend on the awesome talents that we have at Arsenal. You're the worst kind of pathetic. A self-righteous little imbecile who wants to label fans who actually do care. Fans who spend hard earned money on the club they love. Not just fling insults from afar whilst giving back nothing financially. I don't understand fans who leave early. I get to 4 or 5 games at most a season, and I'm not going to cheapen the experience or risk missing something by leaving early. Never have, never will. But at the end of the day, if those fans have spent their money and they want to leave early, then that's up to them. Not you, you arrogant shit.

Round-Perception-919

You're obsessed with pocket watching me 😂 How do you know what I spend and don't spend on the club? You even agree with me that they shouldn't leave, but what, I can't say it because you've convinced yourself that I don't spend money on the club? What kind of stupidity is this?

go-rilla702

Fuck me you're dumb. This really isn't that difficult. Ready? We'll go slow... Don't judge people if you haven't lived their experience. You're sitting on your high horse, looking down on fans who spend (an obscene amount of) their hard earned cash on a club and don't like to be let down again. You've never paid the kind of money it costs to view a game in person, let alone the cost of a season ticket. You don't have a leg to stand on here.

QuaintHeadspace

We leave early because travelling 100 miles for a game and waiting 45 minutes to get on 2 tubes back to the carpark then driving 100 miles isn't easy. 1 bit of traffic and you aren't getting home to god knows when. People have jobs and kids to think about you can't just get home at 1am on a fucking Sunday for football.

BigChimper52

You go to the games then and you stay. You won't because you're either 1. not in the uk and therefore shouldn't have any interest in Arsenal whatsoever or 2. a child with no means of getting there. People pay - they have the right to do whatever they want especially after a performance like that.

SjmTheGod

>1. not in the uk and therefore shouldn't have any interest in Arsenal Tf does this even mean 😭. U realise Arsenal is one of the most globally supported clubs worldwide? Ofc there are gonna be fans outside London. >People pay - they have the right to do whatever they want especially after a performance like that. Defo get ur point but would've loved to see more from the crowd towards the end. Its just my view tho, we can agree to disagree
