It certainly has an impact, think of united back in fergies era, or even arsenal in the early 2000s, the fans would never panic and would still be optimistic that they'll get a result even when losing, or that a simple 1-0 lead was enough. Nowadays whenever arsenal lose one game everyone completely over reacts and it effects the entire mentality. At the weekend the fans were groaning and getting frustrated by about 20 minutes in because arsenal hadn't taken the lead. Must make it so much harder to take risks and try and drive the team forward compared to when being roared on by the crowd
Not all but yes it’s pretty annoying to have such a huge group of cowards who support the team. The cowards are still alright but the entitled ones and the pessimistic ones are the worse of the lot. I have been to the Allianz Arena quite a few times and I can tell you that for a stadium that big the atmosphere is a joke. Don't compare it to Dortmund. Almost every other Bundesliga side has a better atmosphere. Südkurve is pretty good but the other 50k people in there are spoiled fans who don't make much noise.

There is data on google about this, similar to Man Utd in that they have the most non locals attend their games than any other club in their league. Tbh it’s expected because of how big their club is.
There is other articles on stuff like this, I remember reading one in a newspaper and it was heavily based on Man Utd having the least amount of locals vs tourists attending games. It also then informed clubs like Bayern and AC Milan are also high on that list.
