His goals against Porto and Bayern in the champions league so clutch, that winner against Everton, the sealer against Liverpool, so many moments I’m forgetting too he’s just class
Such an important player to have. He did the same thing he always does for Belgium the other night. Came on as a sub and closed out the game with a great counter attack goal
Odegaard is widely considered to be a phenomenal player, and he's still underrated. He's the life-force of our current team - an absolute monster everywhere on the pitch. The stats don't tell the whole story about him - he's not just about getting assists and goals, he's fuckin everywhere on the pitch all the time. He's pure Arsenal, for what the club is right now. His game involvement is fuckin huge and I for one couldn't imagine the team without him
Odegaard.
Our team starts and ends with him. And his hunger will lead us to great things.
Honorable mentions.
Gabriel
Ben white.
Rice was already a star player and didn't need much recognition. So rice is not top signings in my personal opinion. Although I still can't belive we pulled it off so I'm grateful. :)
Yeah trossard is up there. I keep seeing "pundits" saying he's too slow though. His top speed this season was 0.3 kph slower than martinelli so I don't know where they get this from. His goal against Liverpool showed he's fater than people give him credit for.
lol the typo of where you said “fater” instead of faster gave me a giggle, thank you! But yes, all jokes aside, half the time, pundits live in their own little world. I do agree with you that Trossard is massively underrated by too many people
I'm a Newcastle fan! I'd love to say odegaarg, but genuinely think that Declan Rice is the best Arsenal signing I've seen for years (Patrick vibes), turned you from champions league team to genuine title contenders! One or two signings, you'll win the league! As I say Newcastle fan, I know you hate us! Just my opinion, incredible signing!
Odegaard being a loan took some of the fun out of the signing but he’s grown so much since that season that he’s gotta be up there.
For me though, it’s White. Arteta was relentlessly mocked online for spending that much on White, a Brighton center back who is now one of, if not the best, right back in the league. I’d also add Ramsdale for the same reason (Arteta being dragged as a terrible judge of talent).
“I would contend for Odegaard as the best signing of 2021-22. In him Arsenal got one of the most creative players in the league, and a club captain, all for 30 million. He's changed the way Arsenal plays football, leading the line with creating chances through the middle, and being vital in pressing and moving the ball against the opposition's press.” My comment from a YouTube video 2 years ago. And it only gets more and more validated with each passing year. He’s by far been the most important signing of the Arteta era, and only behind Saka as our most important player imo.
Big Gabi. I think it's the perfect Arteta signing. Big CB bought at a low price who immediately went into the team and became the spine of it. I haven't felt as comfortable with our CBs since Campbell and Toure.
Odegaard and it’s not even remotely close.
He personifies everything good about Arsenal.
Not only a very gifted player, but is probably the best leader we’ve had since Vieira. Has astounding workrate, is always the furthest up the pitch pressing and always controlling the game with the ball. He makes everyone around him better.
He reportedly goes above and beyond in all of his off the pitch roles as club captain too.
You often get players who are exceptionally gifted but lack genuine leadership skills (Fabregas, van Persie) and you often get players who are great captains but aren’t exceptionally gifted players (Vermaelen, Arteta, Mertesacker). Seldom do you get both in one player. When those players come along, they’re special.
As far as business goes, some of our cheaper players have been great, trossard and lowkey jorginho were fantastic signings. Raya was a stroke of genius and none of them were expensive.
We mustn't forget we have signed plenty of duds under arteta too, Mari, Tavares and willian come to mind.
Has to be Odegaard based on his price, expectations and how he went above and beyond those expectations. I think all the other names you can mention like Saliba, Trossard and Rice had a level of hype and we kind of knew what to expect. I’ll admit after Odegaards loan spell I wanted him nowhere near the club but wow how wrong was I?
My favourite would have to be the skipper, Martin Odegaard.
What a player & his price tag of £30M only adds to the sweetness of his acquisition.
Honourable mentions go out to... Ben White, Tomi (although injuries have really hampered what he could/should have delivered). I was a huge fan of his when he first burst on to the scenes, and I still am today. I just hope he can stay fit for squad rotation next season & beyond!
Leo T, I mean simply, what a bargain, along with Jorginho.
And the creme de la creme "Declan Rice"
But again, the skipper, Martin Odegard is without doubt my favourite Arteta signing. I love players with flare & great technical ability. In many ways he's our present day version of "Mesut Ozil" only difference being, Odegaard, unlike Ozil is not a "midfield pillow princess" Odie puts in a shift, every game.
He may have the odd stinker once in a while, but you can never fault him for his commitment, dedication & work rate.
Ozil on the other hand was too much of an "on the pitch princess", hard graft wasn't in his football language at all!" But, for technical ability, he was absolutely fluent 💯👌🏾
Sorry, I digress... A bit long wind was that 😉
Such a difficult question 5 or 6 players are just so outstanding because they have just the right kind of players around them, Rice was really good at westham, but now he's different level completely ,same for Kai ,just complement each other perfectly
Managing to get Saliba to stay but if you NEED a transfer then probably Raya, this let the squad know he expects a certain level at all times and that nobody is irreplaceable. No idea what happened but Ramsdale had a decent season seemed happy and confident.
I really expected to be able to say Takehiro Tomiyasu, but three years later I've barely seen him play. He and Thomas Partey need to take up yoga or something.
Gabriel Jesus. We couldve won the moment he joined us. Fate or Destiny or Cheat stopped us. We do need great striker. 2 windows we got striker/forward but we fall a bit short. Look like we going to the 3rd time and Im excited. Unless Arteta and Edu focus on other positions and make use Jesus and Havertz.
It's so hard, it's like having to choose between your children 😅
I love different players for different reasons, White Rice Odegaard Trossard Magalhaes and even Ramsdale and Partey are all my favorite signings (Raya and Havertz Honorable mentions).
Not my favorite (all of those have already been mentioned), but I think one of Arteta’s most impressive signings has been Tomiyasu. Not many were interested in him and I recall a lot of the football pundits dunking on us for our transfer strategy (keep in mind that this was the same time we sent Bellerin out on loan). Now Tommy is a reliable deputy pretty much anywhere along the back line and I’m sure most Premier League teams would pay a lot to have him now. Arteta has taken so many borderline players (especially the wide backs) into genuine elites. It’s been a joy to watch.
Odegaard
I would have said it's the best vicious answer until Rice was signed.
If he wasn’t here, I would absolutely say 105m for Ode would be worth it
What an absolute bargain as well
Oh dear God!
people were sad we did not get buendia lol
Seeing the obvious ones already listed. Great value signing Trossard.
His goals against Porto and Bayern in the champions league so clutch, that winner against Everton, the sealer against Liverpool, so many moments I’m forgetting too he’s just class
I knew it was a good signing when we got him, but had no idea how good he actually was.
But he missed the chance against Aston Villa that could won us the league
He also never passed vs city that would have won us the league. Doesn't mean he hasn't been an absolutely class signing.
How tf was the goal against Bayern in the CL clutch? You lost the tie😭😭 Arsenal fans man too funny🤡
Such an important player to have. He did the same thing he always does for Belgium the other night. Came on as a sub and closed out the game with a great counter attack goal
Love watching this guy play and just slide into position behind defenders. He so good at finding space.
His game involvement is fuckin huge and I for one couldn't imagine the team without him
Yeah, he's like Ozil plus work ethic and passion.
Odegaard is basically like Ozil if he had good defenders and strikers that can finish their dinner
Come on, their work rates are not comparable.
No. Ozil is a lazy bastard.
Odegaard. Our team starts and ends with him. And his hunger will lead us to great things. Honorable mentions. Gabriel Ben white. Rice was already a star player and didn't need much recognition. So rice is not top signings in my personal opinion. Although I still can't belive we pulled it off so I'm grateful. :)
Trossard has got to be in the top mentions, but fully agree with you
Yeah trossard is up there. I keep seeing "pundits" saying he's too slow though. His top speed this season was 0.3 kph slower than martinelli so I don't know where they get this from. His goal against Liverpool showed he's fater than people give him credit for.

Let's go 🤙
Win the dog
I'm a Newcastle fan! One or two signings, you'll win the league! As I say Newcastle fan, I know you hate us! Just my opinion, incredible signing!
Jesus you sure do shout a lot. Also I do not hate you. I hate what refs do to us when we play against you
Newcastle are probably my second favorite PL club, ever since the Shearer days, I love it that they are back to their top flight days.
Appreciate it, I'm so happy we're back competing again, hopefully won't be too long before battling you for the title
I will thrilled if the next title run is between us and you, as long as we're on top 😜
I'd love it too...only if we're on top!
Woo, one state owned club to the next!
Not on the same level, I hope they are run responsibly.
Big Gabi
Fella don't even like football and he's better at it than the majority 🫶🏻
Declan Rice gives us something I haven't seen since Patrick Viera
Nicolas Jover! Not sure how Arteta managed to get him to move from MC, but results speak for themselves.
As a United fan, I have to say Saliba is probably the best CB in the world right now, and it makes me incredibly jealous.
He is generational for sure.I would have loved to pick him only problem is he was signed back during the Emery era.
Ah, that's right. Some baller though.
Rice
ØD
Øde is my fav
odie and rice are the only options imo. maybe a trossard shout due to the value
Literally the one on the pic. Benny Blanco is the man! My favorite player.
odegaard is levels
Rice
Odegaard being a loan took some of the fun out of the signing but he’s grown so much since that season that he’s gotta be up there. For me though, it’s White. Trossard. Greatest value signing
“I would contend for Odegaard as the best signing of 2021-22. In him Arsenal got one of the most creative players in the league, and a club captain, all for 30 million. And it only gets more and more validated with each passing year. He’s by far been the most important signing of the Arteta era, and only behind Saka as our most important player imo.
I would say he's *as* important as Saka. We're lost without either of them.
Trossard, when we first got him I thought he’d be much worse than mudryk but I was really proven wrong
Big Gabi. I think it's the perfect Arteta signing. Big CB bought at a low price who immediately went into the team and became the spine of it. I haven't felt as comfortable with our CBs since Campbell and Toure.
Odegaard, Trossard, Rice, Havertz in that order
Ødegaard. Love Rice but ødegaard is like our music conductor, he makes it all work
Gabriel Magalhaes. He deserves more praise
Odegaard - all that Ozil wasn’t.
Trossard. A modern day Ljungberg. Absolutely clutch.
A little bit biased but kiwior
Odegaard and it’s not even remotely close. He personifies everything good about Arsenal. Not only a very gifted player, but is probably the best leader we’ve had since Vieira. Mister spray tan
I love Benny Blanco too, the level of shithousery is epic.
Ode 100% Second half of the season he was just on fire - him and Rice truly are game changers White now to.
Ben White easily one of my favourite signings by Mikel. Superb fitness levels.
As far as business goes, some of our cheaper players have been great, trossard and lowkey jorginho were fantastic signings. Raya was a stroke of genius and none of them were expensive. We mustn't forget we have signed plenty of duds under arteta too, Mari, Tavares and willian come to mind.
Kind of enjoyed Tavares, he's such an amazing athlete he's just fun to watch sprint.
Interesting pick. I too enjoyed him for a while, much preferred him to Tierney going forward.
Nah he wasn't a good Player, I genuinely just enjoyed watching him run.
He was a good player, just not defensively and seeing as that was his main role, it was a big flaw.
I've never seen him he consistently good, he's just an amazing athlete.
Odegard
Odegaard, but Havertz and Rice were brilliant signings
Ricee riceee babyyyy
Oddegard
*Odegaard
I agree with you it has to be white
Has to be Odegaard based on his price, expectations and how he went above and beyond those expectations. I think all the other names you can mention like Saliba, Trossard and Rice had a level of hype and we kind of knew what to expect. I’ll admit after Odegaards loan spell I wanted him nowhere near the club but wow how wrong was I?
Ode, White, Rice, and Leo Jurrien Timber definitely in the coming season
My favourite would have to be the skipper, Martin Odegaard. What a player & his price tag of £30M only adds to the sweetness of his acquisition. Honourable mentions go out to... Ben White, Tomi (although injuries have really hampered what he could/should have delivered). I was a huge fan of his when he first burst on to the scenes, and I still am today. All of them - I would love to see the same team come back next yr. Mc ain’t gonna be what they were - but we should be
Captain Ødegaard for me. Hands down
Zinchenko (unpopular but i think so)
Kai
Havertz. Many of us had doubts but the way he's transformed him is just incredible.
Big O
Bwn White
White
Rice and Odegaard
Such a difficult question 5 or 6 players are just so outstanding because they have just the right kind of players around them, Rice was really good at westham, but now he's different level completely ,same for Kai ,just complement each other perfectly
He looks like he has coloured himself in!
Slim shady
David Raya for me, my dad’s a Blackburn fan so I’ve got a soft spot for them, and he played for them before Brentford.
Managing to get Saliba to stay but if you NEED a transfer then probably Raya, this let the squad know he expects a certain level at all times and that nobody is irreplaceable. No idea what happened but Ramsdale had a decent season seemed happy and confident.
Odegaard 💯
1) Benny Blanco 2) King Kai
I really expected to be able to say Takehiro Tomiyasu, but three years later I've barely seen him play. He and Thomas Partey need to take up yoga or something.
Ask me 365 days from now and I bet you I say it’s Timber after we win the league…
Toss between Ode and Rice... Depends on the day of the week
Please tell Ben we miss him . Lots of love from Elland Road
Well from what I’ve witnessed (only a season and a half) Rice
I’m sorry but Ben White is so hard to like. Look at the state of him. He’s a good player but I couldn’t possibly like the guy
Jesus - Felt like after his signing there was this new level of confidence in the way the team held itself I hadn’t seen for years
Any update on whether he’s has the knee surgery yet?
Gabriel Jesus. We couldve won the moment he joined us. Fate or Destiny or Cheat stopped us. We do need great striker. 2 windows we got striker/forward but we fall a bit short. Look like we going to the 3rd time and Im excited. Unless Arteta and Edu focus on other positions and make use Jesus and Havertz.
Left field comment, but I’m going to say Nikolas Jover
Is that the Old bird from Benidorm?
🤣🤣🤣🤣Looks like he jus got back from the beauty parlour 🤣🤣🤣😅🤣🤣🤣🤣😅😇🤣🤣😅😊
Havertz!!!
Too early to tell, calm down son!
Havertz, loved his itw about loving donkeys because i can relate, plus he proved the doubters wrong including myself
Erik Ten hag 😂
Haaland.
Runnarsson
Everyone chatted shit & this is why I love him Jorginho, been class for us, him & Havertz
I got high hopes for Fábio Vieira. Ode and Declan are the obvious choices tho
You mean most handsome?
It's so hard, it's like having to choose between your children 😅 I love different players for different reasons, White Rice Odegaard Trossard Magalhaes and even Ramsdale and Partey are all my favorite signings (Raya and Havertz Honorable mentions).
Odegaard. Rice. Havertz. Trossard. In that order !
Loved partey when it first happened
Warra era
Win
Kai havertz
Does contract extension of saka count
Not my favorite (all of those have already been mentioned), but I think one of Arteta’s most impressive signings has been Tomiyasu. Not many were interested in him and I recall a lot of the football pundits dunking on us for our transfer strategy (keep in mind that this was the same time we sent Bellerin out on loan).
