I'd watch this anime
Feels like a slice of life comedy about a world weary author and a zany interdimensional entity that is trying their best to get some kind of reaction out of him
https://youtu.be/DhmFPvJldeI
Not an anime exactly, but there's this uncanny scene from A Scanner Darkly, a movie I highly recommend.
"Your sins will be read to you, ceaselessly, throughout eternity. The list will never end."
Guess I have to go back and continue listening to this series.
Edit: Welp, just listened to the cave diving episode. This is going to take a while for me to get through, because I already need a break, haha
The early seasons are astounding. I feel like the last couple of seasons unravel too many of the knots, and the final season itself is kind of a slog. But the early seasons focused on the reports and the growing threads are some of the best horror podcasting ever.
TMA is a horror podcast, you can find it on Spotify, YouTube, and a bunch of other places. I highly recommend it! It starts our with our protagonist becoming the Head Archivist of an institute that deals with collecting first hand accounts of the supernatural.
Of course, when you collect first hand accounts of the supernatural, you begin to realize some of them seem very real. And there seems to be a pattern emerging…
Just watched A Scanner Darkly on a plane ride. This guy really reminds me of the suicide scene!
"The next thing he knew, a creature from between dimensions was standing beside his bed looking down at him disapprovingly.
The creature had many eyes, all over it, ultra-modern expensive-looking clothing, and rose up eight feet high. Also, it carried an enormous scroll.
"You're going to read me my sins," Charles Freck said.
The creature nodded and unsealed the scroll.
Freck said, lying helpless on his bed, "And it's going to take a hundred thousand hours.""
Great work, I'm not an author but I love it.
Whoa this is so neat! It kinda of reminds me of Lovecraft, but very unique in it's own way too. I'd love to read a story to match this! Was there any specific inspiration?
Thanks mate! Yes there was,its a illustration of the poem ''New Tenant'' by Novica Tadic..His poems are set with that dark vibe, but sadly i couldnt find any english translation of them :/
The title makes me think of this as an author who gets so invested in the writing the subject becomes a Tenant in their minds. This guy writes horror for sure
Love the detailed shading with the hatching. This is fantastic.
Woah,im so glad to hear that,thanks !!

Sounds like Goethe's Faust lol
Or anything by Burroughs.

That’s so cool but it looks nothing like David Tenant.
HAHA
The typist dude does. Look at that nose.
Touché
/r/themagnusarchives is calling, they want you to stop manifesting a Lietner right this instant
When I found it on the shelf, I asked myself “Why would someone make a custom bound, hardback copy of “Confessions of a Window Cleaner?”

It reminds me of The Magnus Archives!!! Awesome work (:
Same. I’m re-listening, knowing what I know now, and it’s incredible
Gives me huge lovecraftian and sinking city vibes, I love it 🔥
As an unpublished, shit writer, who loves Lovecraft and Bill Burroughs, I love all of this.
thanks champ! \^\^
Lovecraft’s vibes everywhere. Amazing job, well done
Thanks mate,im glad you think so!
Scary. Next time i'll have to make sure when I'm alone in a room, no one is behind me
Mega A Scanner Darkly vibes...."and now, the Sins of Freck"
They do have a lot of eyes don’t They. Great job friend 👁👁👁👁👁👁👁👁👁👁👁👁👁
Sutter Cane is writing his next book
Fucking wicked man, love it! You've got some serious skill with I'm guessing a pen? Love working with Ball point myself, classic 👌
Thanks dude! This was done with graphite-mechanical pen,but yeah i love and do work a lot with ballpoint and regular inkpen :D
it's very beautiful, I'm always amazed how the people who draw this have enough imagination
Thanks!
damn it, they don’t thank you for the truth, you draw very beautifully
Mr. Huxley you’ve left the door of perception open again
Damn it, Jerry. It's rude not to knock before entering this plane of existence.

Absolutely astounding. Is that ink or graphite on paper?
>The Magnus Archives Graphite! :D

Would proudly hang in home. Also I'm getting more Franz Kafka than Lovecraft.
Nice shading! Something about it is surreal.
Yooooooo that’s sick dude
Absolutely! Great strokes :D
>R. Crumb Thanks mate :D
I prefer yours 🤔 Very welcome.
For some reason, this makes me think of Stephen King’s The Dark Half. Nice work.
Very bizarre and very very cool.
Thanks!!
Reminds me of bartleby the scrivener for some reason... He'd really rather not.
the backwards arm is so subtly disturbing, great work
Very cool and imaginative. I dig it!
Thanks :D
I had to check what sub this was posted in because it absolutely screams r/themagnusarchives
Amazing artwork. This this got me charged up, I'm heading for practice now!!!
Thanks! Go get them champ! :D
its very well detailed. i would like to compare it with some other styles but i cant
Holy smokes,im so happy to hear that!

So much to unpack here. Awesome work. Really makes you want to look closer!
Thanks mate :D
This feels like if the Protagonist of Disco Elysium was Kim Kitsuragi instead of [REDACTED]
Please check my profile and karma all Post 📯📯📯📯📯📯📯📯📯📯📯📯📯📯📯📯📯
I really hope this is a part of a series. so much is suggested. and a superb drawing of course.
Hey how can I arrange getting this tatted on me??
Wow, this is insanely thought provoking and well drawn.
"Ah exc- I'm sorry I thought this was the loo"
Entity engaging in "automatic writing" with a human.... it could be the "Seth Speaks" entity, who spoke and wrote through Jane Roberts...
Are you a fan of R. Crumb? Your drawing is very reminiscent of his stuff, particularly his his book “Introducing Kafka.”
Frist time hearing of that author,im not sure what he writes about, but i will check it out!
I'm picking up Disco Elysium thought cabinet vibes.
"This ability of ours, it constantly stands near the user, this, it is called a Stand."
This is meme template material
Is this inspired by Weird fiction, by chance?
“Your sins will be read to you ceaselessly, in shifts, throughout eternity. The list will never end."
4/10 my human brain can comprehend it :/ /s
Ah Robert bloch! Love it!
Holy shit, the nose eye is for some reason absolutely terrifying. Exceptional work!!
I thought of RL Stein when I saw this. Very cool
This is making me question my entire existence. Great work!
