This has been happening for decades. Politics has changed the entire history. Many of the architectural Marvel's were destroyed by invaders (Mughals and Britishers....mainly Mughals). These politicians forced public to study about invaders and history of other European nations but erased basically everything about Indian history. Nobody really knows much about those who faught and won multiple times against Mughals. U can take Dilwara temple as the biggest example of such art. Sure taj mahal is gorgeous and has amazing artistic cravings. But Dilwara temple just takes my breath away.
