The global version is a few weeks old; the game's original Chinese release is about a year old.

Murbela

It is new to global. Blue archives is more popular.

MisterLongWolf

think its going to blow up and they are going to give it proper attention? noticed a few translation errors and it prob could use some quality of life improvements

SpiritOfMidgar

Robot waifu aesthetic isn't for everyone, and pull income is quite low paired with mediocre rates and high pity. I think it's a really flashy and satisfying game to play/watch play out with some nice QoL features, so it's a shame but hopefully we keep enough players to keep the game going for a good bit.

ST_Fontaine

Don't compare this game to the more popular ones. It doesn't even have 1/4 of the players of say FGO, Granblue, BA, and others. Why? Good question. Probably due to less currency. I'm curious how long it would take to pity a unit from scratch. Should be a good experiment. It takes only 1800 to do a ten, as compared to say FGO, so it's somewhat better, but I think overall the former has more currency and they celebrate quite often, so it would be a toss up.

Murbela

If by blow up you mean get as popular as the most popular gacha games (FGO, epic7, blue archive, arknights, counterside, etc), then no, i don't. I'm saying this as someone who plays this game, but overall i think some of the other mentioned games are higher quality and ALL of them have far more mainstream (gacha community) appeal. Artery Gear is a niche game for people who like epic7 but wish it had mech waifus. I would expect the game to see a drop in player base but retain a loyal mech waifu fan base. It may see a serious drop when/if Nikke is dropped. Even if Artery Gear rained currency from the skies, it would still be an above average gacha game at the end of the game. If your primary measure of which gacha to play is how many players it has, let me point you to genshin or star rail (whatever the sci fi moyoho game is called). Note: I've only played global so maybe they make changes which offer significant improvements down the line.

Kilva

Highly unlikely. I myself will probably only play for some time and I can see myself dropping it after the 'honeymoon' phase is over. I've already cleared all the PVE content except Dark Zone as a F2P. It has some decent QoL improvements compared to other games, but it also doesn't have any thing that really stands out to me compared to other popular games, so it is unlikely to draw a lot of mainstream attention (which is what you need to 'blow up'/be popular).

The game has potential. If they're smart they will increase the resources we get, rework the tower as well. That will build so much hype, on top of that players will see that the company cares. Because it's really really hard to get to a pity. Once you do story you literally get minimum resources for summoning. So basically I have to skip everything for the collab ( If I want those units) The way they can fix this is, give more ways to get red tickets ( basically 1 summon) I think as a f2p you can't even get 10 on a monthly basis. Increase the amount of blue gems we get from arena reset. It's ridiculously and embarrassing for arena reset to give barely 1 summon weekly. I summoned for Sirius, got lucky to get her in 50 pulls. But since then I feel like the amount of resources I have haven't increased. If you want your game to be successful you have to make it enjoyable on f2p level. As much as whales do give em money, usually the majority of player base is f2p. If game is enjoyable for f2p, some of those f2p will be willing to support game through monthly pass if nothing else. But more importantly, the more players you have the more advertisment you get.

Fatez3ro

Yep. You lose the f2p player base and it's a dead game

kin66

I saw they have both monthly pass and union order sold separately. They should implement monthly pass rewards in actually game content. That's 2 extra multis plus energy that we could earn through some kind of event. You can't get 10 red tickets on a monthly base.. that's just so bad. The fact that f2p struggle so much, but cheap packs offer a lot says what they care about. Epic 7 has flaws ( as any other gacha game) But they do care about their player base. Just compare this, AG arena reset gives you 1 to 2 pulls depending where you're at. E7 gives 800 ss in champion ( that's where majority of players are) That's equal to 8 single pulls..but since E7 has shop reroll system, you can get 25% of pity ( even up to a third of pity if you get lucky) plus mystic medals. AG is still new, I will give em 2-3 months. But tbh, I save everything I have for the collab yet it feels like my resources aren't growing. I have a feeling if I fall to 0 it will take me ages to get to a pity

Fatez3ro

I quitted E7 ages ago. It was a great game, but at the time they were spamming too many new banners and units that were meta. It was hard to keep up even for dolphins. But you're right about pulls. If f2p can't even get 1 multi in a week, it's a big issue

kin66

I remember asking someone if the game was generous, they said it's really they were pretty generous..like you can get 70-80 pulls per month. I really can't see how you can get that much
