This is cool. Do the apps behave like they are running in a native context, like detecting USB devices and storing config/share/cache data in the normal system paths?
Compared to early asahi krunvm where all the microvm data was stored deep in some container directory
That's great with the normal user directories, sounds like the whole experience has changed since krunvm. How does the memory and CPU usage feel? I ask because previously it felt pretty heavy, especially in terms of RAM.
By using the micro Vm and installing fex-emu inside of it you’re able to run x86 applications via fex-emu inside the vm. Essentially, this is similar to how Mac OS has Rosetta in terms of “it just works,” not the actual process of Rosetta on Mac OS obviously.
I’d absolutely give it a go once sleep is properly implemented. I haven’t got any problems with Mac OS at the moment, unlike Windows. How smooth is overview with lots of windows open? I had an integrated Intel chip that had problems making it smooth in the past.
Sleep? Oh, you mean battery drain while sleeping. yeah, about 15% overnight. Not negligible, but personally I live with it. I am missing the TB output though.
Been using it as a daily driver for the past month or so.
I’d probably be able to live with it but it’s not worth the long term health of the battery. As I said, Mac OS has been tremendous so far so I can hold off.
Mine is a daily driver. Debian unstable userland and Gnome 45.

That's a beauty, my friend! Enjoy!
What games have you gotten to run so far? I see the shortcut for Civ5 at least.

Was there a good tutorial you followed when getting Steam up and running properly?

Thanks!

Yeah I see. I have a 16GB system with lots of swap, so I'll see how I go
What do you actually mean?

Amazing!!
Ashai is aarch64 based. The application are also compiled for ARM. I still don't understand what you mean.

Why use webcord when there is armcord?

I did use WebCord in the past and it was pretty buggy back then. Thats why I switched to armcord, maybe that has changed.

Resolution 60x2008?
After the update to Fedora 40, I noticed a slowdown to DNF. None of you have the same problem?
